Nick Winter replied to ERIK88's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
BMF, I like me some 50's mid and High Price class cars..............naturally #11's seem to disappear just as fast. Nick -

I thought they were neat! I have a soft spot too, the complete ones (or in this case close enough) I usually try to preserve, the incomplete usually end up modded or restored. Nick

'92 Chevrolet C1500 Sport
Nick Winter replied to Nick Winter's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Yeah it was all internal basically (Ie Full Power Group, Convience Group 1-3 ETC.) The ones I saw I only ever saw with GM Plates, never saw them with regular plates or on dealer lots. Nick Somewhere I have a photo of a truck down the street from my cousins house in Oshawa, the guy worked for GM and at the time it was a new-ish '93, it was a Sport...............but really unique (no Markings, Champagne Gold exterior and beige interior, Chrome exterior options with the red side trim) -
'92 Chevrolet C1500 Sport
Nick Winter replied to Nick Winter's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
I never said they never existed I just never saw one that didn't belong to GM of Canada, and they all had Chrome fixin's (Bumpers, Grille, Mirrors) And yes it has the 6 hole 15x8's with 60 series rubber, like the brochure says. Nick -
I probably posted the Blue '40 Coupe before, but the other 2 came from the same box o' Junk, cleaned them up and reassembled them. I know the paint and glue isn't that old, but it's old enough. Nick

Built this as a mythical kinda truck, did it in Silverado Trim with the Sport Package, something that never really existed (I have pictures on film of a few that use to cruise around Oshawa with GM Plates on them) Started with a promo And this picture from the '92 Brochure (top truck is a real Scottsdale trim K1500 Sport, bottom is a regular Silverado trim C1500) Ended up with this Nick

Nick Winter replied to slusher's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
'91 They started offering them in Black, Red & White only Looks really good Carl, working on a Chevy C1500 sport in White right now, hope it turns out half as good. -
Grabbed these at Autofest, put on by The Motor City Car Club, lots of beautiful 1:1 Rides, Fender covers will help keep my baby clean when it comes back from the bodyshop and I finish putting everything together. Nick

I appreciate all the comments guys, it's my toy, a friend of mine bought me a fender cover "Money Pit" She thought I'd see the humor in the gift, she was right. You'd be amazed at what the car HASN'T cost me It was crusher bound and I couldn't let that happen, when I get my mind set on something, nothing stops me, (one of the good/bad points of my personality). It was cold to say the least my clock actually froze solid and wouldn't tick I like it, it's me with 4 wheels basically, that attracted me to it and has held my attention. Anyway getting closer to being finished my end of the bodywork and started dressing the engine a bit. And, as of the 13th, the Fury (or as I call him, Angel) have been together 1 year, and he's changed just a bit Last year, August 13th 2012 (photo October 2012, I didn't do anything but swap the jeep rims on him for the factory steels until November) This year, August 13th 2013 As always I will update later on.

Well we sold the Duster yesterday Morning at MoparFest, and I ended up buying a Duster kit, so I'll get a resin bench and '70 Grille for it. Bought a few other goodies while at MoparFest. Got to meet Mr. Norm and talk with him, also got his autograph! Very cool guy with some great stories! Nick

I know there's a few people I'm missing, I apologize so If your not on the list, just remind me what your building please and I'll update it, Been very busy the last few days preparing for a roadtrip to MoparFest. Rob is correct, you can build another, but only two are eligible for Voting.

I'll add that one too Clay. Nick

Mark is correct to a point, it's a '69 318 CI LA Series Small Block Mopar, And it's the Highest Compression and Horsepower 318 Made, in '68-'69 the 318 Made 230 HP and 340 Ft. Lbs of Torque, and carried with it a 9.2:1 Compression Ratio. Nick It looks better in the car Dressed a bit.
