This should be locked, the forum no longer has a Rants and Raves section.....................................................Lets talk about Dencon Resin or what about Reliable Resin? I lost a lot of money to both, yet topics about both always seem to disappear rather quickly............... Why don't you guys go find another dead horse to beat.........................nothing good can possibley come from this topic.

I apologize that I have been rather absent lately, within the next few days I'll update everything, things here at home, my grandmother and grandfather both have slid downwards and I lost my grandmother on Friday evening. Anyway I'll see if I can straighten this out and dig out my entry. Nick

Those would be the domes, The Cap part was the same casting, but had AMC numbers cast into it, Then there was the Cone and Dome which were unique, The AMC's Cone's where shorter than the Chrysler cones (only used on '70-'74 C Body's). Nick

Joe, GM never used these they had a completely different design, bolt pattern and size , AMC and Chrysler did however, AMC had unique centers and trim rings, and Chrysler had 2 sizes, 2 different trim ring styles, and 2 styles of center caps. Common confusion

Nightmare Kits CBP - aka Masochistic Modelers Anonymous
Nick Winter replied to Jantrix's topic in Community Builds
Thanks Guys, because I'm doing this is an sort of Factory show car style, I decided I had to do a Leather Bucket seat interior, tunrs out Ford didnt skimp on chrome or woodgrain when they built these cars, good grief. I am unhappy with the area on the rear shelf where the custom headrests were, for the life of me I couldn't fix them, I'm thinking I may use PE speaker grilles on top of those area's. nick -
A friend asked If I wanted a set of wheels for my Plymouth, I said sure, Headed over this afternoon, we hungout, talked models, talked life, talked models, talked 1:1 projects, and I brought these home, my second set, need a dome and some new rubber.

Getting somewhere after a year. Nick -
"The dealer was supposed to be finding me a 2013 ZL1 new. They agreed (or so I thought) that it would be for the best since buying a used one (yes, ME BUYING from them) could only lead to problems down the road. I have been patient. I finally got a call on Monday (1/6) to come over to look at the car they "found" for me. They were sure I would be pleased. Imagine my surprise when the car they "found" turned out to be a trade-in on a new Stingray. The car was a 2012 ZL1, black like mine, but with a sunroof (which I do not want), 34% more miles than mine, new tires (why did it need new tires at 13,588 miles?), different wheels than mine, non-Chevrolet emblems front and back, and tinted windows. Also absolutely NO documentation on the car, even though I was told the car had more documentation than mine. I was not even told the mileage on the car until I went out and sat in it for myself. Amazing that we had to go over all the figures first. And yes, I was to buy this car from them. They did offer $4K "feel good" (their words, not mine) money to buy the correct emblems and rims. However, nothing was mentioned about a lower price for the higher mileage. My wife and I just were not that happy with the car. We offered a counter-offer and let the dealership for them to discuss our proposal. When we got home last night, we discovered through this forum (thanks, guys) that the car was a TWO owner car, not a one-owner car like we were told. We also found out that the car was hit 3 days after the original owner purchased the car. WE paid $55 for a CarFax report--the dealer didn't even offer that for us. They did have some other report, but it wasn't a CarFax. So they were basically trying to SELL us a 2-owner vehicle that had previous body damage, along with tinted windows, incorrect emblems, more mileage, the apparent need for new tires, and heaven only knows what else. They called today to tell us that their original offer to buy THAT car from them was ALL they were going to (or willing to) offer. Take it or leave it. We really did not want a twice-used car with no documentation and do not feel it was a reasonable replacement for our show-winning, pristine, fully documented car with much less mileage. So folks, almost a month later, I am still making payments on a car I do not have, and certainly cannot drive. And the dealer is unwilling to step up and "do the right thing." I have retained an attorney, but really, why should I have to pay attorney fees when I am the innocent party in all of this. I did not ask for my car to be stolen by a dealer's employee. The dealer is upset about the negative press they have received, yet they seem unwilling to do anything to remedy the situation. I guess they will get what they deserve, even if I do not get what I fully deserve (my car replaced at no expense to me). If this hadn't actually happened to me, I don't think I would have believed it." From the owner of the ZL-1

Thanks everyone, I just couldn't bare to part out old Peanut. yes, but thats the way the kit headers must have gone also to line up with the slots in the body? I found it strange also. I do know it was released when President Carter was in office! Nick

I had that thought after the CA glue had set up, now they aren't coming off, the pictures amplify their size as compared to looking at it in person anyway. Nick

Okay, I'm a little late.............

When was the last time you saw one of these? A friend tried selling it for nearly 3 years at the hefty sum of $2, and ended up giving 'ol peanut to me. I was looking for something yesterday and ended up finding him ,so the inevitable happened, Peanut was restored. I tore him apart, washed everything, polished the body and glass out, then repainted and replaced any missing parts. Nick

Nick Winter replied to Fabrux's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
Was at a friends, between the two of us we have all but the Above off-road Camper, the '77 Annual and the Monster trucks (I have parts of them) I Couldn't resist asking to look at everyone of them, of which I did, for historical purposes. -
I think it's F&F resin, got it from a friend in trade, he did the master for it. Nick
