Welcome abored. You can also try useing gap-filling CA glue. Just a tiny little dap inside the hole should do the trick. But I'd go with harry's suggestion instead. -

I love my 160GB Ipod! Enough music to last over a week without hearing the same song twice, and enough movies to last you through the weekend! My "rap" list Again, this is stuff I grew up with. I can't stand the modern day stuff. For me, it's mostly about the rythem more than anything else. I dont' even listen to half the lyrics in these songs. If it's got a beat I can move to, I like it! Push In The Bush=2bmf Yoke the ###### Thing=Young & Restless Move Somethin'=2 Live Crew Drop the Bass=DJ Magic Mike Mami el Negro=DJ Laz "One of my all time favorites to dance to!" I just turned 35 last week actually! LOL! I also listen to alot of classic rock and I enjoy everything from Pink Floyd, Billy Idol, White Snake, Billy Squire, Def Leapard, Dire Straits, Queen, et'c. Actually, when I drive, classic rock is all I listen to. I only listen to the "other music" when at home. Go to Scale Motor Sports web site http://store.scalemotorsport.com/merchant2...Category_Code=4 and look for their 1/24 scale carbon-fiber decals. I think your kit is 1/25th scale, but nobody is going to notice 1/24 scale CF decal on a 1/25 scale model. You want to find their black/gray woven pattern style I beleive. They have lot's of colors and choice for you to choose. This is a decal that works by itselfe. You need to follow the instructions very carefully and practically cut it to shape, apply it with the proper solution that they say in the instructions, and once you have it in place, leave it. When you clear-coat the model, the CF really comes to life as the clear-coat gives it that realistic depth. If that kit you have is built the way I think it is, with all the body kit peices seperatly from the body, I'd do the CF decal's on the body kit before mounting the kit. That way you can get a cleaner look by having the decal film wrap around all the edges making it look even more real. Just some thoughts for yea! But to be perfectly honest, I'm not really sure if the car in the movie had all that in carbon-fiber anyway.

I think starting date is now and finishing date was stated as being mid September?

Ever heard the phrase black is a slimming color? Be caucious when painting this blue on a much smaller scale model and then trying to compare it to a larger model. Beleive it or not, but the size of the "canvas" can effect the color's appearance. While the pigment itselfe maybe exactly the same, your eye's are fooled by size. This is sort of what I meant a while back in another thread by "scaleing down color". I wish you best of luck with this Jag and I'll be watching you and praying for yea! LOL! Bernadene huh? Strange name, sounds "southern". Smaller scale cars can appear darker than larger scale colors because in my theory the pigment is more compacted in a tighter area. Not sure if I'm making sense here or not, but size and color do go hand in hand.

What's on your playlist?

I personally have never seen an 8-track. I just threw that in there for you not-so-young-anymore folks! I was boren in the "cassette" age? 70's? I guess a cassette tape would've been my 8 track as that's the most song's I've seen on a cassette. Isn't it cool that we now have a divice that can allow us to hold enough songs for over a week on something as small if not smaller than a cassette? And even cooler to play videos on it? Isn't technology awesome? Point to this thread isn't technology, what sounds better, digital, anologe, CD, vinyl, whatever. That's all been argued before elsewhere. I just simply want to know what other modelers listen too. -
....................okay...................back on topic! thank you............

Curious as to what you people listen to when you build models. My favorite playlist consists of music like Welcome= Gino Latino Bring the Noise Remix (Extended Mix)=Public Enemy vs. Ferry Corsten Now That We Found Love= Heavy D & The Boyz Poison=Bell Biv DeVoe Tennessee=Arrested Development Paid In Full (Seven Minutes of Music - The Coldcut Remix)=The Best of Eric B. & Rakim Hippychick =Soho Treat 'Em Right=Chubb Rock The Humpty Dance=Digital Underground Summertime=DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince The Power of Planet X =Afrika Bambaataa Play At Your Own Risk=Planet Patrol O.P.P.=Naughty By Nature Informer= Snow Jump Around=House of Pain Don't laugh at me! I grew up listening to this back in high-school! I was at a co-ed boarding school in Orlando Florida and listened to 102 Jamz which did the best live-dj dance mixes you ever heard! They did some pretty awesome stuff with these songs and a few others as well. Every Friday and Saturday night they would broadcast live from a night club and I would crank up the stereo as loud as the dorm-parrents would allow! LOL! I found these songs recently on Itunes and love'em all! Paid in Full and Hippychick are my two fav's!

I've used to collect, build, and race Kyosho's 1/28 scale Mini-Z cars. I dont' race RC cars anymore as they started getting too expensive buying hop-up's and what nots. I'm enjoying building kit's more instead.

Thank you for your comment on the KS Testarossa, it's not quite as 100% perfect, but I'm still very satisfied with it. Just take your time and be very patient with it. Make sure you have a secondary hobby or something else you can do to take a brake away from your model. Finding the right color and doing a smooth coat really helps alot! What did Angelina Joe Lee named this car in Gone In 60 Seconds? She mumbled something about ".......just gave me a ride." as she delivered this Jag. Dark primers for dark colors, light primers for light colors. Unless in the case like my MR2, you want the dark color to be as light as possible, I'm useing the white primer for my Chezoom Teal Pearl which is not as dark as your blue, but close to it that the right shade primer will have it's effect.

The doors only look great cause their glued into place and I was fortunet to be able to flatten that top bit and close the gap. The CA-glue with insta-cure is great help for fixing little thing's like this as long as your carefull with what your doing. The clear-coating over flat-black almost look's like semi-gloss black, or between semi and flat. I noticed some clear-coats dont' give the same effect as others. What you want is a gloss clear coat laqure, at least the one from Model Master's seems to work well. The Tamiya clear coat just dries clear with no extra gloss that I've noticed. I tried it on the chassis, and it looked the same as before.
-
I fixed the gaps, And, I was smart enough to save the clear parts from my spare Competition model. So, if I cut out the headlights, and scratch-build the bucket's, or whatever you call the shelfe? I can use these lenses here. They look like their very suitable if I just rotate theme 90 degrees! Possible a plexi-glass engine cover for the MR2? Oh, except it would have to have an engine in which it doesn't.

I've never had any such issues with ebay. What bothers me are those that list items that they are selling in store as well. While it maybe listed in ebay, it's no longer available? And you dont' find that out till long after you've already paid for the item? That I dont' like! My favorite seller is Hobby Japan, but I have not bought plastic model kit's from theme. I usually buy my RC car stuff from theme. Good luck finding the kit's you want! Now back to my project. I visited the LHS today and searched and searched through their selection of paints. I saw lot's of bright eye-catching colors, but none suited my taste like the Chezoom Teal Pearl. So, I'm going to go ahead with that and use white primer as a base so that it will be as bright as possible. I wouldnt' say the Chezoom is a dark green, more like a medium green, a little lighter than say British Racing Green. Oh yea, I also picked up some reading material. I picked up May/June and Aprils issue of MCM magazine!

That look's like a dark gun-metal color more than metallic black! Very nice! I just recently thought of useing Hot Magenta, a color I once used on a Volkswagen Golf. Almost like a Pepto-Bismo pink without being "pink". I'll look at the hobby shop and see if I can find a more "grabby" color for this project. I was also thining about a particular red that is used on Honda Racing car's. It's a little bit of an orang-red without being Italian Red. To answer your question Kustom, I was going to get my 345 Tuning on ebay but ran out of funds. Every week just search Fujimi on ebay. And make sure you select "store inventory" search option as well.
-
Then what color do you suggest? I dont' care for orange's and yellow's. And with my Koenig's, I've already got two red's and planning another red soon. Body kit is mounted. Will have to do some filler, trimming, et'c before primer. It was a little difficult getting all five peices to line up properly, but it still fit's ton's better than the Veilside kit did. Never mind the gap on the right front fender. That got fixed after photo. At least with dark colors, it hides imperfections. I'm tempted to cut out the headlights and make my own plexi-glass covered style headlights like on my Testarossa. I'm also thinking of cutting the roof off as in Targa-style. Not convertible, but Targa. I was almost thinking of black?!

I prefer meow! My 4 year old cat is soooooooooo easy and so very sweet. Don't get me wrong, I do love the dog, just not my choice for a pet. And he's a young puppy who's full of rambunxious energy. If it weren't for walking him twice a day for the past month, he probably wouldn't have known how to come back home! Anyway sorry to get off topic. Model? Yea I'm right! Woooooooohooooooo! Woof, woof, woof! Alright!
