  1. Sorry I used an over used & cliche comment there Mark, I guess if I spent more time on the forums and less time make'n that money _ I would be a little more "forum hip"
  2. Why is every one hating on the trucks with plows now ??? That's how it is here too- "I'm the first one they call when they need some thing moved or they're snowed in" my truck has a 5.4 L with a 6speed stick and get 20-22 mpg when it's not working. Some times people need to go to the hospital-or have a house fire, maybe they need the police in the middle of the night ? A foot of snow ? We get 2ft. at a time on a regular basis...and as far as the "bozo" comment about the 4x4 with plows--I don't know about where you guys live, but when I have my orange flashes going-I have the right a way >>>>>and if the roads are that bad-people should stay off of them till the proper equipment has done the job. May, June, July, August, September, October....... I guess I'm silly.......
  3. I'm not laughing----BUT I have a big grin !!!
  4. Very Cool !
  5. Maybe the Model Car board could take a lesson from John Lennon-Give Peace a chance....... It's like the hokey pokey-THAT'S what it's all about !! It does'nt feel like it's been 30 years does it ?
  6. Does any one remember the TV show called "Mr. Ed" ? that show was sponsored by the Studebaker Corporation from 1961-64, Wilber Post always drove Studebaker Larks and once in awhile he would haul supplys with a Champ pick up. I remember seeing an Avati on that show too.
  7. I don't know what year this one is but it looks like the resin one in the above post-> that truck is a beauty in real life too.
  8. Good luck with your project, I've used the Aircraft stripper on some die cast kits from Testors and it took the paint off quick & easy-but after it's stripped, I took the parts to the local 1:1 collision shop and had them sand blasted to rough the metal suface so the primer/paint will have some thing to cling on to. The Dupli-Color primer is great - works great on plastic also.
  9. ............But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express.
  10. I went to the Meijers store in Traverse City the other day, got a Revell '68 Firebird and a Revell '32 Ford coupe. Then I went into Michaels that is right down the steet and the same '32 coupe was $24.00.
  11. I think this Geico commercial is my new favorite> "Hey you dang woodchucks !! Quit chucking my wood !!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjGwusHrOtk
  12. I don't know about that.......but I'll probably build it at night !!
  13. Hey folks, my wife called me today from Meijers-they have models again and at a GREAT price> ( Ya got to love cell phones !!)
  14. I like it alot ! May be the best mainstreamer of that kit I've seen, Sorry you had a bad week-and hope things get better for ya !
  15. Well Done Mr. Most, Although I've never met you in person-this is the kind of thing I picture you driving in real life.... Every time I look at it, there's some thing else to see. It did come out very close to your drawing but I'm glad that lavender color didn't work out on the model,my favorite is the trade mark next to your name on the drawing............
  16. Nice job, I like what you've done. The color looks like Root Beer to me.......
  17. That's a Beautiful car.
  18. I get alot of diorama stuff from a Doll House shop, I never paid close attention to them-but I have seen dogs there that had real looking fur also.
  19. The AMT 1960 Ford Starliner has nice doors handle on the chrome tree.
  20. Ahh MAN ! MAKE IT STOP !! IT"S FREAKING ME OUT !!!! Gee Whiz Wally....all the cool kids are doing it !!!
  21. OH-NO ! Now the green car is doing it too...........
  22. Hey Jeff, I'm not an expert on them but I think the 1960 and 61 Valiants had the oval "cats eye" tail lights while the 1962 Valiant had round tail lights like a Dodge Lancer, Here's a couple shots of a 1960 Valiant model
  23. That's a neat model you built, I like it a lot-I'm sorry that I didn't see it when it was on the workbench, Is this a resin body or did you convert it into a Cherokee your self ? I'd like to build one myself-I had a 1979 for many years...what a cool truck !!
