  1. That was "Lookout design" Yes, one in the same. Matt
  2. Thank you Zukiholic I am not doing this as a hobby, this IS my full tiome job. I have about 15 years in doing mold making and resin casting at an industrial level. I back my product 100% If you are not happy with the product you recieve from me. Contact me and I WILL take care of you. All I ask is that you treat me the way you would like to be treated. If you like this stuff, wait till you see what I am working on right now. Matt
  3. All I can say about this model is.................. A WORK OF ART! I have been building weathered and rusted models for 20 years. Been doing it back when it was not respectable in this hobby. For me, and I keep it to myself. With this style getting more popular and respected. I am usually not too empresses with many of these types of builds. They just do not look real to me. So I pass them by. But yours! well lets say that I first saw your avatar on another post and thought that it was your real car. Then going to your profile. Well I saved every one of your pics of this model. I just LOVE IT! Matt
  4. It is in the AMT 53 Stude. I have one if you want to do some traiding. The blower set up not the kit. I am building that. Contact me off the board. Matt
  5. I know that the show is going to happen, but it is very hard to find any info on it. I heard that it is their 4th one. Any of you know about it? Does it have a good draw? I would like to be a vendor at it but I do not want to pay for a table and haul everything up there and it be a dud. They just do not seem to have much PR on this show. We need more shows in the south west. It would be cool if there was a big one in vegas. Thanks for any info. Matt
  6. I second this, Gregg. It is a great place to see, and we are not going to have it much longer. We met up with the Kitbashers, there a few years ago and we all had a really good time. This is what we saw that day... Man I am gonna miss that place. Also if you have a AAA card you get a discount for everybody in your party's entrance fees.
  7. Back in 1979 I heard "My Sharona" from The Knack and wanted to play bass guitar. At the time, because my dad and my older brother played drums and I had my brother's set. I was playing drums. But that song took me to the Bass. I was 13. In the 80s I played in a bunch of metal bands. I never got the band I wanted to form to ever happen. I wanted to do something different and everyone I got a band going with all wanted to do what ever was the BIG THING. I had really long hair and I would not poof it all up and put on make up. OH GOD I hated the hair band days. I was into Anthrax, Matalica, Slayer, Exodus, Accept and anything heavy, fast and angry. But everyone wanted to do Poision. Then out came Winger. I was done. That was NOT Metal! I still would every once in a wile play my guitars, but the last time I was in a band was 1988. I wish I would have stayed in it, but just never found the right guys to jam with. Fast forward to a few years ago. With my daughter getting into heavy metal and wanting to one day be in a band. She got me getting more into playing again. 3 years ago she got into playing drums. I got her a drum set. I have a 57 Fender Strat that I got in 82 and my sister's 66 gibson ES 330. I got that after she passed. It now belongs to my daughter. But I kept my main bass that I used back in the day. I bought it new in 86. I will never part with it. I would love to get a new bass, but what I want is a couple of grand I still have all of my bass gear in my old road case. I bought a new speaker cabenet a year ago and fired up my Accustic Bass head and is worked. Still had the same setting I put on it in 88. Keeping it in the road case for 20 years kept it in great shape. I have been learning on guitar, alot of the newer stuff so i can jam with my kid. I love the modern way of playing metal. It is a little bit different then it use to be like with the dropped E string. Very fun to play. I do not have any pics of my Strat but here are a few pics of my kid and her drum set. One of the pics of her from last halloween you can see that Gibson that I gave her. If your a Slipknot fan. You will know who her favorate drummer is.
  8. I understand what you are saying, but it is going to be like this. If you are interested in ever building a model of a 68-72 Chevelle wagon. You will have to go with the fact that there is just no real perfect donor kit. I have just found that there is just nothing out there that is available to be a perfect fit for a chassis. I can only do what I can do or just scrap it (No I will not be doing that . Have way to much money and time invested) and then there is no offering for these cars. It is what it is. Sorry you will not want one, then. This is what the first offering will be, guys. The 69 will be the body, rear bumper, tail lights and interior and bench seats. You will have to use a donor kit of the AMT 69 Chevelle for the front bumper/grill, hood, dash and just about anything else. The chassis will have to be stretched. Or you can use a few other kits for the chassis and it WILL take some work because just about the only chassis that will be a perfect fit will be the old AMT annual 69 ElCamino. Good luck getting one. I have been trying to get one so that I could cast that chassis. later I will be offering more options for this body kit. Like a flat hood, front grill without a the "SS". a dash/steering wheel and if I ever get one of those ElCaminos. I will offer the full chassis. My plan, as I have stated on this thread before, is to offer different levels of this body kit and my other body kits that are going to come out in the future. This way you can get as much of the body kit as you want to use and can afford. In the past there have been so many times that there has been a resin kit available for 50 or 60 bucks and all I wanted was the body, but it was not offered on it's own. I do not want to force parts with the added cost on my customers if they do not want all of that. But if they do and can afford it. I want to offer it. Thanks for all of your input, guys. Matt
  9. There are 5 of us from Phoenix going to be there. So Who is all going?
  10. Well now that I have two masters. One I am working on that will be the 69. The other I just acquired. Big thanks to cooltoys1. I will be hookin' you up, brutha! That is a 72. I am not sure which one will be done first, now. They still, both need allot of work till they are to my standard of being a master. I am thinking now. the one that gets finished first. Will be the one that comes out first. I know that I announced that it will be the 69, but now with having this 72. It is looking like that it will be a toss up. Either way. We are still looking like an August release. Thanks Guys Matt
  11. Very Nice Work. Cool ideal. Best of luck with that. I bet it will do well. Matt
  12. OMG!!!!! 4 hours to go and it is up to $192.50 Man I wish I had one to sell. LOL!
  13. I cannot give a date yet. These things take time to make sure that it will be nice product and I am just one guy. Like I said earlier in this post. I am looking at having them in production in August. Not sure yet. Still getting the master just right. Thanks Matt
  14. Clay Have you done much selling on there? I use to always leave pos feedback once I got payment. It has gotten to the point that buyers just do not leave any for us sellers anymore. After I went 20 or so sales, straight, without one feedback (BAD OR GOOD) given. I desided to make it my policy that I do not give feedback until it is given to me. When I did that, I started to get about 50 or 60 % buyers giving me feedback, again. That is better then nothing. I got the idea to put that in my listing afer reading that on a bunch of seller's listings. All the sellers can't be wrong. That practice had to start from somewhere and that somewhere is the buyers not leaving us any feedback. The sellers are not ALWAYS the evil ones in this game. There are 2 sides to every story. It also does not seem to effect my sales. Sales have been quite good.
  15. I have not found these things yet. I know I have them. I am going to be reorganizing my model room this weekend. I am sure they will turn up. If they do. I will post the pics. Matt
  16. There is one on e-bay right now. With 5 days to go. It is already up to $115.00 GEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...alenotsupported That model from Juha Airio is OUTSTANDING!!! OMG! Matt
  17. I think I know what you are talking about. I might have a set that I was, at one time, going to cast. I have not thought abuut it. Let me look and see if I still have those. IIRC the wheels were big. Like 16 or 17 inch wheel. Not big in the sense of DONKS but big wheel like work truck. I will look and take some pics. Be back with that. Matt
  18. Cooltoys Thanks for those pics. Those are a big help to have. To the rest of you As far as the chassis. I am not really worrying about it at this time, but I am very glad that this discussion took place because I have never, personally owned a 68-72 wagon. So to get this kind of info on those cars from someone who knows is all help in my making this resin model, better. This info HAS been helpful. There might be a very good chance, at a later time I will put out a correct chassis. But for now. The chassis, or the lack there of, is NOT going to stop this resin body kit from coming out. I have got a heck of allot invested in this project for it NOT to happen. LOL!! Right now, this resin deal is my full time job. So I am taking this body and the other projects I have in line to come into production, very serious. When I am working on these things. I am at work, not in my hobby room building models. So thank you all so very much for your input. So keep it all coming. I will post some update pics here, soon.
  19. Jay I am looking at your e-bay auction right now. Man, it is too bad that we did not find each other about a month ago. If you only knew what I paid for the one I got. I am sure it will sell. And it is a good thing that you are selling it now. Before mine comes out. Because I am going to level out the value of any of these that go on e-bay. Because they are rare right now. I have seen them go for upwards of 100 bucks, plus. The last one that was on there two months ago. Went for 90. What was your buy it now. If I would have caught it before some one bid on it. I would have bought it from you. Matt
  20. Did you get the flat hood with that master?
  21. Thanks for that info, but It is looking like the Chevelle chassis is going to be too short. I think I have a line on an old El Camino for the chassis. Take a look at the pics.
  22. Thanks for thinking of that, but that would be quite an expense for Ed to make a mold for one pull of that chassis. You are looking at at least 3 to 5 pounds of RTV and that could be close to $100.00. I am sure I will come across one of those chassis in time. Right now I am into this project at about $400.00 and I am not even counting my time (My time IS money) and I have not even poured the rubber yet let alone pop out the first one. I really do appreciate your input on this. You have been a big help with this.
  23. You are correct. That is where this master came from. I bought it from Ed with his knowledge and blessing to start production. If this sells well. I WILL do the 70 next. I also already have a master just about done for the 70 El Camino. Now that is made to work with the newer 68 El Camino kit. I just have to finish a fwe things on that body and get rid of that vinyl top. That one is a little ways off. Oh yea. The 70 E- Camino will come with the correct front bumper. So you will not have to use the 70 Chevelle front bumper with the rectangle blinkers. To be correct for a 70 El Camino. You need the round blinkers in the bumper. I will take some pics of that body later a post when it gets closer to production.
