  1. I agree with spkgibson on the 71 Duster. It just looks off on the rear portion of the roof line and the B pillar. It is better then nothing and I feel that it makes a nice looking model. Just like so many other kits that have this off or that off. But we still buy them and we still enjoy them. Matt
  2. The mold is done for the 70-73 D-80 Tall rear spoiler and I popped the first one out. Turned out great so it is now added to my web site. Unfortunatly my Camera is shot and it will be a few weeks before I get another one. So I cannot take any pics. It came out looking just like it is in the AMT kit. No clean up is going to be needed on this part. It came out very nice. I also have added a front spoiler to work with my 70-73 Camaro Standard Nose full Bumper kit. The chin spoiler in the AMT kit will not fit the strandard nose because it is made for the kits RS nose. So now all of us early 2nd Gen Camaro guys have the front spoiler for the full bumper. All order info is on my site. These items are listed under "Parts" Thanks for your support. Matt @ Dencon
  3. I am coming out with the D-80 3 piece rear spoiler to go along with my 70-73 Camaro Standard Nose conversion kit this week. I am also coming out with a front chin spoiler for the standard nose conversion kit. I am also doing shortly after, The D-80 3 piece rear spoiler for the 74-81 Camaro to go along with my 74 camaro conversion kit for the AMT 70.5 Baldwin Motion - Z/28 kits. www.denconresins.com Matt
  4. Very nice wrok. Great looking little drag racer. I love your attention to detail on the littl bit of dirt here and there. Makes it look real. Even the cleanest, never driven on the streets, car will have a little grime here and there. Nice work. Very clean build. Matt
  5. Thanks for the vote of confidence!!! After the first of the year. I am going to really be taking the 69 Chevelle wagon very serious. I had to put a hold on it for a wile because of other things and just basically. I needed an awesome modeler to really massage the hech out of this body to make it up to my standards. Well I got someone to do it for me and made the deal and he will be starting on it at the first of the year. So this is going to guarantee that this resin model will be the best you can buy. I have contracted accomplished model builder, Ron Ramsey to finish this master for us. If you do not recognize his name. He was the first modeler to be featured in the new centerfolds that the other magazine started doing earlier this year. It was of that Gas Ronda 69 Mustang Funny Car. He also wrote the article about how to build the chassis for that model in the latest issue of that magazine. Ron has been not only a fan of all kinds of Chevelle wagon and drives a 66 that he bought in 72. He has built many models of all kinds of wagons. One was of his 66 Chevelle wagon. You think not a big deal because of the kit. NOPE! He built his model 10 years ago. So I figured that he was the best man for the job. So with all of that. We are going to make sure that this resin kit will be the best on the market. So it will take some time but it will be out by mid 2010. It will be worth the wait. If this one goes well. We will be working on a 70-71-and a 72 after the 69. If I can pull it off. I will have a 68 after that. Cover all of those years. I wish that I could make this resin work with the newer 68 El Camino, but it just cannot be done without just starting over. The newer El Camino kit is just physically wider. It just will not fit. I will also be selling this kit at levels. So you can spend as much or a little starting with just a body then going up from there with interior and chassis and other thing up to a full on kit. I believe in giving the customer a choice Keep On Building Your Model Cars. Mat @ DSRS
  6. It looks like this guy mastered it to work with the last 68 El Camino. The one I am planning on coming out with is a revamped F&F and will not work with that later AMT El Camino. The newer kit is allot wider then the old AMT ElCaminos. So I could not get it all to work together. I had some issues come up with business and issues with the wagon master, and It does not look like it is going to happen till well into the next year. Matt
  7. Outstanding model building. This looks fantastic. You should get paid for this by Revel. I can say that this post just sold a couple of these kits , right here in Phoenix. Matt
  8. First off. a big THANKS to Steve for taking the time for the history on the kit. I have never been a fan of the old Monogram "Custom" and "Tom Danials" kits. But being a fan of wagons. This kit back when it was the "Bad Actor" was on the shelf at the hobby shop. I once in a wile thought of getting it, but did not because it was very customized. I also have not given this new re-issue of the kit a second thought. Why I clicked on this thread I will never know, BUT I am so glad I did. Looking at this model and seeing the changes. I have to say that I am glade that we are getting the original version. I like it the best and I want that kit now. So I am GETTING ONE!!! It looks like I could have fun with this one. Thanks guys! Matt
  9. Hey Guys I am doing a FREE SHIPPING for US only orders with a $20.00 or more order. (That is not counting adding the might have been shipping). Now with the way shipping is this time of year. I cannot promises that you will get your order in time for the 25th of Dec. But I am working on keeping about a 2 to 3 week turnaround time at this time of year. I just do not want anyone wanting something from me for Christmas and they not get it. So I got to tell you guys this. The post office just sucks this time of year. LOL! Anyways. I am going to have this deal for board members till the first of the year. Happy Model Car Building Matt @DSRS
  10. Thanks you very much for posting this. I have been vacuforming for about 20 years and have been needing to do it for some of my resin kits I sell. You just gave me an idea to make it a little more easier and more productive. What I am really interested in is your frame set up for the PETG sheet. Could you show some more pics of that frame and what it looks like unclamped. Thanks So Much! Matt
  11. Dave has restored both the #77 and the #76 Trans Am Challengers. They both look alike. He also restored a Petty built NASCAR Latemodel Challenger that was built using the MOPAR Kit Car race cars that MPC kitted and later AMT reissued as the Sprt Dart. MPC never did a Challenger version of those kit cars in a scale model. Matt
  12. I think that Trans Am "Show Room Stock Cars" are quite appropriate under here in the NASCAR section. Really no other place to put these types of models. That Model looks GREAT in here! Matt
  13. Nice job on your model. Looks like a clean build. I know what you mean about Frank (Slickpaint) I have to see his models all the time and next to my builds. He is one of my best friends and one of the guys in my build group. I have been becoming a better modeler because of him. You should see his real car!!!!! He doesn't like me talking him up. He gets all LOL!! I like those early Trans Am cars. Looks real good. Matt
  14. Don't say that to Chubby Arrington and Paul Radford from Va. 100% NASCAR race car.
  15. I brush painted these carbs with Testors Metalizers Burnt Metal. Then did a little bit of black wash.
  16. I would like to see that model, Chuck. Invoice sent and thanks a ton! Matt
  17. DENCON Scale Resin Specialties just came out with a missing link for you guys that love building 80's NASCAR race cars. Any of you remember the Olds Cutlass from the 81-84 seasons? Now you can build this race car using the MONOGRAM 82 NASCAR Buick Regal and this resin conversion kit. Here is the kit on the Monogram NASCAR Buick kit. Thanks for looking Matt
  18. I take it that you have never visited mine. Matt
  19. Thanks Frank. I could not have been able to do it without you. You made that nose fit the newer 70 camaro body like it was done by AMT themselves. Matt
  20. Thanks George It is $15.00 plus Shipping and Handling. Matt
  21. Yes it is. The Baldwin Motion and the Z/28 that has just been re released from Round 2. Matt
  22. Just out today. This conversion kit is designed to work with the 70 Camaros in 1/25th from AMT. 70 Baldwin Motion or the Z/28. With the great help from Frank Bennett, I worked on this one for a wile till it was right. You can find it on my site under "Conversion Kits". Yea, when I took the pic, I forgot the grill. So sorry for the second pic of the grill. Keep On building those Model Cars, Matt Hey Guys I am doing a FREE SHIPPING for US only orders with a $20.00 or more order. 24. B-E-A-Utiful job , there, John. I love it. Matt
  25. Thanks John. So I was on the right track. I wish that I did not live so far away from all of the GREAT shows of our hobby history. I have wanted to go to this NNL for 25 years. If the day ever comes that this economy gets bette and I am able to make the money to travel. I want to start going to all of them. One can dream. Matt
