  1. This is just great news. I am looking forward to getting these decals. Are these Alps printed Decals? If they are, are they backed with a white underlay? Here are a couple of pics of the Gratiot Cuda. Here is what I think is the END of the yellow Gratiot Dart This was at the US Nats in 76. This was it just before the wreck. So you can see that there are two versions of the Yellow car. Not sure if it is the same car. I believe that Mancini Racing had a couple of Darts. Some ran in SS/A and some raning in Modified Production.
  2. Oh you are talking about ME, Steve. You got them on the way. Sorry about the wait. They are leaving today. JUST what you order. The 2 charger 500 hoods. Thank you and I sure did appreciate your business. Matt Conte DENCON SCALE RESIN SPECIALTIES
  3. OK I will be ordering. You guys only just did one of my holy grails on the 1969 year page. The Gratiot Auto Supply RR. Now take that art work and make the Dart that Ron Mancini ran in the 70's and you guys are my heros. That is the car I have been wanting to build and been waiting from the new Hemi dart to come out, for. Then wile your at it. Hear is another one you could knock out. All using close to the same art work. Matt
  4. No harm no Foul. That is a very neat looking car. I am sure it would sell. But at this time. I just not have the means or the time to master somthing like that.
  5. I am sorry. But I have no idea where that came from. I saw it mentioned on here, but that did not come from me. I would not even know where to start with that one. I do not even know what a "Studebaker Daytona" is. I am sorry if you got misled. This thread has kind of got off track. So I have not been reading it to closely. You need to check my web site for a more accurate discussions on product I am planning on and other builders thoughts on them. It is not a message board. The only subject there is my product. So that its the only thing that the polls are about. I am just taking in ideas on what people want. Someone might had said that. But I am not doing one. Again, I would not even know where to begin with that. I do not even know what one looks like. Matt
  6. Tommy, Yes that interior for the 74 Camaro will also have the seats. I cannot give you a date yet, because I have been so busy with getting a few other things to market. I just have not had time to work on the master, lately. It will happen, though. As far as the hijacking. Well that is to be expected. Although I would never do that to them. But not really surprised by it. I just keep my mind on only one resin caster. "DENCON Scale Resin Specialties". But thank you for going up to bat for me on this. What's right is right but I can tell you. This plane is NOT on it's way to Cuba. It is staying on course. LOL! I am ALWAYS in the Captain's Seat on this flight. Matt
  7. I have added a new poll. This new one is something I have wanted to do for a long time and now the opportunity has presented itself.
  8. I got a surprise today from my friend, Frank Bennett. He built this slammer 1977 Z/28 for me, using an AMT 70 Baldwin Motion Camaro and my resin 74 Camaro conversion kit. It turned out GREAT! Here is the 74 Camaro conversion kit I make that he used. Matt
  9. It will fit just about any 1/25th and I am sure most 1/24th scale model cars. It will take some trimming and grinding for the most part. Maybe in some cases the adding of some plastic. Because this is a "Kitbash/Scratch Building" type of product. It will take more then a beginner modeler's skill level. As for directions on prep. There is some general suggestions on the package and I have an info board with some working with resin tips and question on my web site. You also have this board and these great model builders to get advise on working with resin. Thanks for your interest in my product. Matt
  10. FINALLY!!!!!! Here it is. It turned out great! Both this tubed chassis backhalf and the suspension kits are on my web site on the second page of "Conversion Kits". Matt
  11. That is the AMT 55 Chassis. I ground out the single exhaust and filled in the hole that were left with evergreen plastic and a little bondo. I think I got the mold for this new back half, finished. I repoured the last part last night. I was at the IPMS convention all day and just got home. So I am going to go up there right now and cast one. BRB Matt
  12. Brutalform, I back halved an AMT 55 with the old 66 Nova back have I use to do in resin. I have got to finish it one of these days. Yours looks like it will be really cool. Is that one of those Gibson, Sonny Bryant engines? That thing is HUGE!!
  13. AAHRRRRRRRRRRR!!!! The resin Gods do not want this back half to happen. I finished the mold this morning and cast the first one. Well I found one little flaw in the top of the mold. It is enough to not allow me to cast a good quality part. So now I am going to redo the inserting half of the mold. MAN!!! I just keep messing up on this one. This mold is costing me 3 times as much to make!!! Been doing this for years and I am just making rookie mistakes!!! LOL!!! Anyways, downside. We are looking at another day till I can get this thing into production. Well, back to the rock pile! We will get it done. Matt
  14. Chas, these are different then the ones you got from me years ago. The ones you got were taken from the AMt 66 Nova. If you like those. This one is even better. The tubs are bigger and deeper, so you can really tuck the rears up into the car and get it low. Also the quality of casting is going to be 125% better. I have learned so much and perfected mold making and resin casting over the years. I am pulling off stuff that I could not even think of doing back in the "LOOKOUT" era. I got alf of the mold redone. I am going to try to get the other half done up tonight and I should be able to pop a few out sometime tomorrow if all goes well. Like I said, I would have had it done already if I would not had brain farted and mess up a lbs. of rubber. It has all worked out. Looking in the right direction now. You guys are going to be the first to know and see when I get it all done. I even redid the rear end mold. I was not happy with the mold that the one at the top of this tread popped out of. So it got cut up and used for filler for a new mold. Rear end is coming out much better. Just to let you all know. When you get those parts, if you order from me. They will look just like that. If you have been on my web site. you have seen that I have a big NO FLASH policy. My parts are as clean or sometimes cleaner then parts out of a new Revell kit. Oh yea, I went there. LOL! Like I have said before. "This is NOT my HOBBY. This is my BUSINESS." I love this hobby and my hobby is building model cars. But resin casting is what I do. It is my full time job.
  15. No AMT did not rib the tubs on the 68 Roadrunner like they did on the 66 Nova. But the floor has a fabrcated look to it. I would also do the Nova back half but that kit is still on the hobby shop shelves. If this back half goes well. I was thinking about doing the one out of the Revell 67 Chevelle "Max Rat". Matt
  16. It is just going to be just as it came from the 68 Roadruner kit. I am not making it for any one particular model kit. It is meant to be universal. It is basically the 68 Pro Street Roadrunner's chassis from the front of the tubs, back. I will have a pic right here in a day or two. Just got to get the mold done. It will be like this, but this pic is of the rear section from the AMT 66 Nova. I use to do that one years ago. I am not selling this one. This is just to give you an idea what this upcoming one is. Again, this is not the one I am coming out with. This is a resin copy of the 66 Nova I did years ago. I just post this to give you all an idea of what I am doing. Matt
  17. Thanks guys. As for that molding. No I did not. I know just what you mean about that. I am almost done with the interior. I hope to have it out along with a chassis in a few weeks. I am playing with a few different ideas with the chassis. I have not touched the flat hood in a wile. Just been too busy with a bunch of other projects and right now I am just swamped with orders. So mastering and mold making has taken a back seat. I am also messing around with a front grill/bumper without the "SS". I am also working on a hood with stock size 69 Camaro ZL2 cowl "Special Ducted" "Supper Scoop". What the heck, right? A boy GOTS ta hot rod his wagon! Am I right? Thanks Matt
  18. Thanks guys. I messed up the mold for the tubed chassis backhalf last night. So I have to start over. I would have had it ready for today. But it is going to be a couple of days. I am going to offer the suspension pieces in the pics above as a separate kit and the tubs separate. I will also do it as a complete kit. I have not figured out the pricing yet, that is why those pieces are not on my web site yet. I am thinking that the rear Pro Street suspension kit will be $10.00 and the tubs will be $8.00. Maybe bring the complete pro Street back half kit in at $15.00 That is what it will be at the tops. Thanks for your interest. matt
  19. I am going to offer just the back half Pro street Chassis for anyone to tub any model car. Here are the rear suspension pieces. I will have the rear tub section's mold all done in a few days. I based this off of the AMT Pro Street 68 Roadrunner kit from 1990. I always liked it better then the one from the 70 Super Bee. Yes they are different. Matt
  20. Thanks Aaron I am glad that you are happy with your product. Thanks for making that point about the turn around times. I wish everyone who orders from me would read that. I know that there are casters that have quick turn around times, but the thing that no one looks at are three things. Those casters either do not get allot of orders, Have a partner or two to help fill orders or have the money backing them to keep stock. For me I am a company of one. I have gotten very popular over the past year and have been flooded with orders (This is my full time job, too). Last I just do not have the money backing me up to have a full inventory of stock. That can cost hunderds to thousends of dollars to do. That is why every order I get. The product is made for that order right then. So all orders have to get in line. It is the only way it can be done for me. About a year ago, I had a nice inventory built up. Allot for shows. I had to take from that and deplete it. So I have stopped going to shows for a wile. I have to say that most of my customers have been very understanding, like you Aaron. I believe that over this past 14 months that I have been in business as DENCON Scale Resin Specialties. I have only had one customer that just did not get it and gave me allot of hassles to the point that I returned his money. The one thing that I do promise is that if you have an order from me. You e-mail me, you WILL get a quick reply back. I know that there have been some big complaints about casters not returning e-mails. I will stand up and say that I was one of those back in my Lookout Design days. I will NEVER do that again. Like I said, I only had one of out of, I cannot even begin to count, customers not be reasonable. I still answered every one of his e-mails. So I think that all you have to do is just communicate with people. They will feel allot better about the time it takes, sometimes to produce this kind of hand made product. So Thank you to ALL of my customers. You are all the best and thank you for allowing me to help your hobby be a little more enjoyable and in turn. Allow me to provide for my daughter and I. It is nice to enjoy ones job. Thanks All Matt Conte DENCON Scale Resin Specialties P.S. if you like this engine kit that Arron got. Wait till you see what is on the way.
  21. No, not at this time. Want to come out with the 68,70,71 & 72 versions first. If there is a big call for it. I will. Matt
  22. The AMT 68 El Camino was wider then all of the other AMT GM "A" body kits they did over the years. This wagon is based off of the old annual 69 ElCamino kit from 1969. So the late 90s released of the AMT 68 El Camino just is too wide for it. I tried to make it work with that AMT kit, but it just was not in the cards. As for the AMT 69 Cutlass, I am sure will work, but it will have to be stretched a little bit. The Wagon was longer wheel base then the 2 door coupes and sedans. This resin body was based off of the old F&F body from years ago. I bought the last master from Ed Fluck Jr along with the rights (Basically his OK) to do this body. When I got it from him it was in the middle of a conversion into a 70. I wanted to come out with a 69 first. If this does well. I am going to do all of the 68-72 versions. The next one will be the 70. Maybe for 2011. Matt
  23. Mark is correct there. The only mods you have to do to my resin body is sand off the marker lights. 68 wagon 69 wagon Also, just to let you guys know. The hood, chassis and interiors will be extra. They will be listed separately and priced. The $27.00 price tag is for the body kit shown above, like that with the 4 door handles (I did not have them for the photo but they come with this kit) You will not get that with those other items for just $27.00 The more you want with this body kit. The more it will cost. I am also going to be doing the grill bumper in resin and a vaced windshield so that you can get everything from me and not need the donor kit. But that is a "Whole Nudder Paintjob!!" We will cross that bridge....so they say. Matt
  24. Here it is, and it is on my site for sale on the "Body Kits" page. You get the body, rear bumper, tail lights and tail light bezels and 4 door handles. Price is $27.00 with free shipping!!! The donor kit is the AMT 69 Chevelle. Working on the interior tub, flat hood and chassis. Soon to come out. Matt DENCON SCALE RESIN SPECIALTIES www.denconresin.com
