  1. THIS IS VERY TRUE!!!! I just got a very unjustified neg feedback tonight. I am TICKED!! I am sick of this kind of stuff on E-bay and I have no recourse. I cannot leave him negative feedback. And this guy that we are talking about is getting away with selling garbage and has a feedback rating that you would think that he is the second coming!!!!!!!!!! He will NOT be able to give you negative feedback. GIVE IT TO HIM!! Did you also know that if a seller has less then %100 they have to pay higher listing fees. So stop slamming bad sellers on messageboards and give them the feedback that they deserve! On the other side of that note. If there is a problem with something in your e-bay order. Like you have not received the item yet. Contact the seller before you roll him with neg feedback. Even E-bay says to give the seller a chance. This guy gave me bad feedback today for not getting the item and I never heard from him. I thought that all was fine. Well I sent it and have the proof. He cannot get his money back from Pay Pal because I have a tracking number that shows that it was mailed. He is out of luck, because why should I help him out. If he would have contacted me. I would have taken care of him. He might of even gotten some extra stuff. NOT NOW! So please. Think, and use the feedback system fairly. As a seller our hands are tied. We cannot give bad feedback. E-bay really should change that. It is not fair at all. People. If the sellers leave. You will not have anything to buy. And e-bay goes away. We could only wish.
  2. This is how we are going to end up with this wagon. It is going to be a 69. The first offering will be the body, rear bumper and tail lights. There will be other levels offered later for, of course, more money. You will need the 69 Chevelle as a donor for the front bumper/grill, SS hood, windshield, mainly. Later I will be offering more options for this body. A flat hood, wagon interior, bench front seat, and the front bumper/grill if you do not want to raid one from a chevelle kit. As for that chassis. Unless I ever get a hold of one of those old AMT 69 El Caminos (Because that is what this wagon body was originally based off of). It will be up to the modeler. Again I want to offer this body kit, as I will with all of my future body kits. Options to buy as much as you want. When everything is offered as a full kit. We will be looking at a $50 or $60 kit. But the base offering of just the body, rear bumper and tail lights will be much lower. (Price will not be set until I am finished). With that base kit, later you will be able to add on as much of the full kit you want depending on how much you want to spend. I am taking this resin body kit thing like it use to be when buying a car back in the good old days. You get the car YOU ordered. Like I said before. As for the newer 68 El Camino. I am sure that anyone could get this to fit for a chassis. But I will not suggest it, because it is not a direct fit. It will take some work. It is wider and with the interior door panels. It is also too tall. The wagon body is almost done. Still needs a bunch of detail body work. It will not go into the rubber until I got it to when the customer dose not need to do any major body work. Clean , clean, clean. is the only way I want resin bodies by me to be. As little clean up and prep as possible. Here is a sneak peek of what I have so far. Thanks for all of your interest in this project. www.denconresin.com
  3. Kevin First off. YOU MAGGOT! Second, I have to agree with you. That is why I thought that the Chevelle chassis and the ElCamino chassis would be the same. But , as you can see by the photos. We have a problem here. LOL! I have often found that the model car world and the real world usually never agree. That is why you can never take something from the model car world and take for fact. It is like the 57 Chevys. For so many years the old AMT 57 was the standard to go by and then when AMT came out with the new one. Everyone thought that it was off. Too wide. But the fact that the old 57 had been the thing that was out of proportion. But it was what everyone in model cars were use to. So the new one looked out of scale and too wide. Stay (sic) brother
  4. Thanks for the pics, Irvin I wonder if I should try to get ahold of one of these ElCamino kits to make a cast of that chassis. Matt
  5. Very nice conversion. I want to do this same thing one day. I like how you cut out the under hood/innerfenders from the 70 kit. Nice work.
  6. One of these days........... This is it today Got it in 1995. It was our daily driver for 2 years then I got the big idea to rip it apart. Said I would have it done in a year. Said that in 97. LOL My driver today is a 2000 Saturn Wagon. No pics of it.
  7. Why does that guy have great feedback and all five stars in each of his seller ratings?
  8. I have not gotten to far into measuring. I just was holding things up to one another. To the best of my knowledge. The original master that I got this wagon from was made from the ElCamino you have. It looks right and the wheel base was on with the newer AMT ElCamino. I missed a built up of the old ElCamino on e-bay a week ago. I forgot about it. I would love to have gotten. There is one on there right now, but the seller has it listed with other things and the price is a little high for a built up and I do not need the other things. Could you post a pic of the ElCamino and Chevelle chassis next to each other?
  9. Well I spent some real time on this body and after the total destruction of a perfectly good AMT 68 ElCamino body. I have found that this will just not work. There are some real big differences between the size of the old AMT 69 Chevelles and El Caminos and the newer AMT 68 ElCamino. The newer kit is wider and taller and just will not work. SO I am not going to be able to make this body work with the new kit. So I went with mating the front clip from the old AMT 69 Chevelle an it worked quite well. The donor kit will be the AMT 69 Chevelle. Just the way it will be. I will be posting pics very soon. Thanks for your interest.
  10. Brutal Metal does it for me. It helps me find my center...man. ...stay (sic)
  11. I have to agree with you about 95%. I use to make and sell resin tires in hard resin. The soft resin just takes to darn long to set up and also to get all of the air bubbles out. So I did not like it for production. As for the hard resin tires. I would die them black. They looked great. Here is a pic of one I did and NO THESE ARE NOT FOR SALE!! I AM NOT GOING TO SELL THEM! I am posting these pics as examples. These were made with Alumilite Tan with a black die. They look rubber. Now this only thing that I would have liked on the side of them being a flexible , rubber like resin. Is that it would give you flex to get the wheels in. I find that hard resin tires that were cast from an original kit "Rubber" tire is getting wheels to fit. Model kit tires are designed to have a flex to them to fit on the wheel, snug. When they are hard. You have to do some grinding on them to get the wheels in. Matt
  12. I got the master yesterday. It looks pretty good. I think that I can get a really nice resin kit out of this. One thing. I was thinking more going the way of making this into a 68 and base it off of the AMT 68 ElCamino. That way there would not be any need for the front bumper and even offer the kit with or without a hood (I will offer a flat hood for this kit) I am going to have a few choices with this kit and all of my future kits. All to help with costs. Give the customer levels of purchasing choices. So what do you think? Go with the 70 or make it a 68 to work with the 68 ElCamino? Like to get you thoughts.
  13. This coming from a former owner of a 69 Vista and a 68 Cutlass wagon. I can tell you. In time my friend, in time. After the chevelles I was planning on moving into the olds and then maybe the other two. It will really depend on the sales of the Chevelles. It cost money to make these molds, so it will take time. You do not even want to know what my investment costs are before I sell the first wagon kit. It costs allot more then you might think to bring a resin body to market.
  14. Well the first one I am doing is going to be the 70. It is a master that I am going to be getting in a few days. So I have to look it over and I will let you all know more about it and what will work out best for donor kits. My plan is to keep this one to where it will work with your choice of donors. The revell 66 wagon, the AMT 65 wagon or the AMT ElCamino. The next one I will do will be off of that body. After I get going with the 70's production. I will take one of those and remaster an all new 69 wagon. That one is going to be based off of the AMT ElCamino. Here are pics of the 70 Master. Later, I plan on doing a 71 and a 72 if these two will work out well for me. I will sell these at different levels. The prices will be set on how much you want. Just a body, Body and the bumpers and grills, Or everything and that will be everything. I am working on mastering up a flat hood for the wagon. I am not going to offer the Chevelle SS hood. If you have any questions. You can go to my web site and e-mail me from there. Or post them here. I check in here just about every day. www.denconresin.com I have been casting for about 15 years and not at a hobby level. I learned how to do this at the industrial level. I strive to product good quality. I know you will be happy with my product. you will get your money's worth. They are priced right, Not Cheap, but you will get what you paid for. You will get an idea when you look at my site. Thanks for your interest. As far as this first master. It comes from the Ed Fluck line. This is all being done through a deal with and the blessings from Ed Fluck.
  15. What do you all think about a 70 and a 69 Chevelle wagon in resin? In the works
  16. Not Yet. I am working on a new web site and catalog that I will have up by the end of next month. E-mail me if you want anymore info. I do not like to do that on the message boards.
  17. It is not Grumpydenise anymore. It is pettybluecamaro2 now. I do not have the grill on e-bay, but I can still make it. It is not a direct repop from the older AMT kit. It is reshaped to work with the last re issue of the 72 that had that bad grill/bumper. You can contact me off the board about it if you like. Thanks Matt
  18. These are some great looking Shoeboxes, here. This is a car and a kit that I have always like but never built. Had an idea in my head for one for years and finally built it this past summer. Now with the reissue. I think that I am goignt ot have to pick up another one. BTW It was the box art that AMT used on this re issue that gave me the original insparation for my build.
  19. OUTSTANDING WORKMANSHIP!!!!
  20. Yep Would have loved to see your model but NO PICS!?!?!?
  21. That is a GREAT tip, Dave. I will have to use that one. Here is my mini tub job under a Monogram 69 Dodge (Same Chassis). I went with the Dana and ladderbars out of the old Monogram 66 malibu flip nose and R&D Unique coil overs.

  23. Hey Guys I am the guy that made those resin pieces that Tuffone20 got. First. Glad you like the parts, Tuffone20. Looking forward to seeing the finished model. I am sure it will be nice, judging by your other builds. I got the parts to do this 1979 Dodge truck conversion from an unbuilt MPC 1979 Dodge Pick Up Kit. The parts all came from the same kit so they DO Go Together. I have been selling this kit for 5 or 6 years. Have sold a TON of them. I have never once heard that they are wrong in any way. This is the first time. So I feel 100% that these are correct. It seems like all but one of you agree. So with that said. If you are interested. Yes I really only sell on e-bay, but if you want to get in contact with me. My info is in my Profile on this board. I will not do any selling or posting selling info on this board out of respect for this board and it's members. Raoul Coumbie of Phx Az built these two model. The 79 using my kit. Raoul is someone that I fell has some very good know abouts on these truck and he never said anything about the 79 conversion being wrong. Raoul sorry if a shattered your name. I think I did. Thanks
