  1. You mean like this? Model By Dave Bell Yea, it is a very good chance that it will happen. But first I am coming out with some really cool suspention pieces that were scratch built by Dave Bell. Also some neat items to use with the Revell 50 Ford F1 to build the 48-51 Ford F-8 "Big Job" with a sleeper cab. Check it all out on my web site on the "Classic Heavy Truck" Section.
  2. Thanks you for that bit of information, Longbox55. But those wheels were made from borrowed masters and that was how they were when I got them. Better then nothing at all. So if anyone wants them. They are avalable through my website. If anyone has any other questions about this, or any other one of my resin items. Please go to my web site and/or e-mail me.
  3. Dayton 5 spoke 20 inch fronts and deul rears. These are 1930s GMC Big Truck wheels and tires Here is how they look on Dave Bell's 41 Chevy Tractor Rig
  4. Well Here it is! The 68 "Hemi" 'Cuda Conversion Kit for the AMT 69 Barracuda kit is now in production. You will find it on Page 2 of "Conversion Kits" on the DENCON web site. I will later offer this kit with the choice of a stock flat hood, or the formula hood with inserts also.
  5. I would but I cannot join it. I have tried and tried. But no go.
  6. I made that scoop from the one that was in the old Monogram Bob Glidden 7/11 T-Bird Pro stock kit. It is quite modified.
  7. I GET IT!!! Yea, I try from time to time. It is always good to get APPROVAL.
  8. Just a quickie build I did by converting the AMT 75 Dodge Dart into a Duster. I blew it on the finish. I need to replace my little 1.3 Megapixel camera SOON!! I started out with this AMT kit and a Dencon Scale Resin Specialties 75 Duster Conversion Kit. Here is what I came up with. Matt Conte
  9. Check these out. This is the start of my new "Classic Heavy Truck" resin line. SOOoooo much more to come. Fronts Rears Check them out on my site. Click on "Classic Heavy Trucks" logo www.denconresin.com
  10. Alumilite. Give Carol a call. She will take care of you. It is great stuff. I use it quite allot. The wheel in this pic next to the engine, was done with the gold powders.
  11. Thanks Ryan. But I cannot take the credit for the great work on this master. This is the work of Dave Bell of Phoenix Az. In my opinion one of the greatest model car builders that you never knew about. Unless you have been to model shows in Az or southern Cali. You never have seen his stuff. He does not go on the Internet nor make it to enough big shows to get in the magazines. You guys do not know what you are missing from not seeing Dave's models. Now that he is retired. He just churns out the most inventive and imaginative models you will see. Anyway, Wait till you see the suspension components and other pieces Dave mastered for this "Big Job" project. I will have some pics today. Here are a couple of Dave's Models ...yea, Dave's good.
  12. Thanks for the input. I have got a bunch of truck stuff I am working one. You will have to wait and see what it is. I was about to come out with a short box for the Dodge Little Red Express but Modelhaus just came out with all of the Dodge truck stuff. So I am going to be discontinuing the grills and stopped on the short box. So I wanted to move into classic GM and Ford stuff along with a line of old vintage big rig stuff. So if you have any ideas for that area of the resin aftermarket. Let me know. Check this out if you like the old big rigs. http://www.denconresin.com/classictruck.html Matt
  13. Is it worth it to offer the removable top from this kit. For years AMT offered this blazer without the roof. But with that re issue from Model King a few years ago. I wondered if it was worth doing. Thanks for your input Matt
  14. I second this! I did this model with urethane through a gun with Slixx on the model and Tamiya in between the PPG Black toner Base coat and the Slixx. The big trick is taking your time. Do not be in a hurry in between coats. You have to give every coat with whatever clear you use. Time to set up so it will not be "Melted" by the next coat. I am telling you. This Automotive urethane is WAY HOTTER then the Tamiya, and I am not having one bit of wrinkling. Take Your Time, that is the trick. Matt
  15. Bob, you got the wrong Matt. You did not send me any Alclad II. You should try Tamya clear in a Can. That stuff lays beautiful and never yellows. Matt
  16. Oh and what red did you use?
  17. LOOKS FAN-TASTIC!!!! Now you are making me want to bust out an old project. I was working on the 80 R-M-S Camaro. I also have been wanting to build this car and the Iaconio car. My friend Frank Bennett built the Ioconio car years ago. The cool thing about that decal set from that kit. They did not put the name and other decals on the black and silver graphics, so you do not have to use them. Frank just painted all of that on his. This is what I am going to do. I hate fighting with graphic decals. Especially if they are old decals. I am still looking for some more inside pics of the RMS car for you. I know I have them somewhere. I have SO MANY CAR MAGAZINES!!!! I will post them when I find them. Keep up the great work. I love this model and yours is looking nice. On the clear you are using. Have you ever had yellowing problems with that Testors clear? I have but that was years ago. I wonder if Testors has changed the formula. Matt
  18. Well Steve Your little suggestion, here, got me a thinkin'. SO I started working on a set of 74 seats. and I went farther. So what I got going and it is looking very good. Not only will I now be coming out with the front seats. but the rear, door panels & center counsol. All going to work with the latest AMT 70 Camaro kit the 74 conversion kit was made for. Also got the 74-81 D-80 tall spoiler in the works, too. Thanks for the suggestion Steve. Matt
  19. Well I found the magazine, but it was not as helpful as I rememebr. I think I have another one that has some good interior shots, but it is a good issue on that car. It was the Feb 93 issue of Super Chevy. Here is the only interior shot from that issue and a good engine shot. Also what the cover looks like if you want to find it on E-bay. I do not have a scanner so I took these with my didg camera. Sorry about the quality. If I find any more interior shots. I will post them right here. The one thing about those cars from back then. They were very simple. The model out of the box with a little bit of detail is quite accurate. The model kit is a great representation of an Alston Pro Stock Chassis of the day. That was what that car was. Hope this helps.
  20. Bob I am going to assume you are wanting pics of the car that the Monogram model was. With that. About 17 years ago. A guy from Texas restored that car and put it in the lobby of his business. Super Chevy did a great pictorial of it, and that was the last time I have ever heard anything about the car. I guess this guy will not take it anywhere. So it is forgotten. I have that issue. Let me get out and I will see if I can take some pics of the artical. I can also post the issue and maybe you could find one on E-bay you could buy. BRB with it. Matt
  21. Yes I have. I have just about every 2nd gen Camaro kit that was offered. I just have never liked any of the seats that were in those kits. So I had always wanted to see what I could do to make them better and cast them. I just have not had the time lately. I have quite a few items in development right now. But I will get to those seats. I don't know. Maybe I should just knock out a set of those seats out of one of those old Camaro kits of mine. Also been looking into making the 74 interior door panels to replace the 70's. Matt
  22. I need to get a new camera, so these shots are from my low Mega Pixel back up camera. But here is my resin rear 70-73 Camaro rear tall spoiler. I have also added a front spoiler to go with my 70-73 Camaro Standard Nose Conversion Kit.
  23. Very Nice Model. Clean work. Matt
