Sounds like you want to build a Stock Eliminator car. Not an SSer. Super stock would be tubed with 13 inch wide slicks. here is a pic I took back in 05. This was Pro Stock driver, Jason Line's dad's car. I did not get a pic of the engine, but it would look very much like this. This is the engine in Jody Lang's m/sa 80 Malibu wagon. A very winning car in Div 6 and 7.

I have added another Poll Thanks for all of your input. This has been so helpful to me. Matt

Andy had a set of these and another style. So I am not sure what you have. These say Yokahama on them. This model is at Andy"s at this time. I am not making them anymore. I do not really have any more pics of this model.

Built with the good old AMT LRE. My 4x4 Resin Conversion Kit. My Resin 75 Grill with BMF. The tires I do not know where they come from, but they are very cool looking Yokahamas. I made a mold of them and I cast them for myself in solid black resin. The wheels are from an AMT NASCAR kit. Paint is Testors Lacquer "Citrus Green" and cleared with Tamaya Spray.

Thanks Guys. I like them dirty sometimes.

Yea, I hope to get ahold of those one day. I really want to do this Volare. The master body is a little dough and needs some time put into it. Matt

Plastic body with one of my resin 2+2 conversions. "Wanted the after the race look" but still did a nice paint job first. Then messed it all up.

Nice model, Matt. You did a great job on it.

Nice casting Jeff.

Hey Guys, remember the 69 Malibu Wagon?

An Up Date I was up late last night. Just could not sleep. So I was working on prepping the wagon some more to get it ready. Did a little grinding and smoothing out some areas in the underside. I was not liking the tail lights. They were resin casts of the old AMT Annual 69 El Camino. I had 3 sets and all of them had some sort of problem. Pin holes in areas that would be just a pain to fix. Then I saw that all 3 sets had a bad sink mark in the left tail light. Something from the original kit. So I cut them off the bumper. And then took the tail lights and bezels from the newer AMT 68 ElCamino and worked with them a bit. They are a little bit bigger then the old annual kit's. So I had to open up the tail light opening on the body. The big plus here is not the resin body kit will come with bezels and clear red tail lights. -

I am going to be dropping the Hornet. I did it for years and it did very well for me. I was also the only caster that offered it. But my molds are shot and I just cannot justify putting money into new molds when there are a couple of fine resin casters that are doing the Hornet now. I would say that the Missing Link Hornet is the way to go. ML's stuff is nice. -

Jay If this 69 does well. I will be doing a 70-71 & 72. Funny thing is that the 68 is the hardest to come up with. The grill and bumper from the ElCamino is too wide for this body. When you see how mine turns out. You are not going to want that master back. I got the rubber, now. Just going to do one more prime on the master and block out and buff. Then it is going in the rubber. Matt -
YES and do it outside. Resin kicks out a very fine dust. About like baby powder. It also floats all over the place and is really bad for you to breath in. It will get all over the place.

Charlie If you have ever been on my web site ( www.denconresin.com ) and looked at how I am selling my Classic Heavy Truck resin line (50 Ford F-8). You will see that I do not sell a kit. I sell all of the components of the kit separately. So the buyer can get as much or as little as they want. This is how I will be selling all of my body kits that I will be coming out with over this next year, too. So with that. I am going to be coming out with just the body first. Later I will be adding other parts that would go with the body, one of them being a chassis. But the master is no where ready, yet. But I want to get this body out. You will need the AMT 69 Chevelle as a donor kit. The chassis chevelle will have to be stretched to fit the wagon. That is basically what the resin one will be. Thanks for your interest. Matt -
It seems to me. Now I am no ElCamino Expert! That you could just graft the front clip from a revell 67 Chevelle onto the Revell 66 Elcamino and BAM! You got what you are looking for. I think that is why that has never been a subject that any resin caster has wanted to put the time and money into. Just to easy for modelers to make themselves.

As many of you builders that are outside the U.S. and Canada know. DENCON Scale Resin Specialties does not sell or ship to you. But that does not mean that you cannot get DENCON Scale Resin Specialties product anymore. We now have an overseas dealer that has been in the business for a wile. We just put the deal together and we are working on the first order of stock. So the overseas orders should be up and running in about 2 to 4 weeks. Our official overseas distributor is SNC Hobbies in the UK. Please check out their web site and feel free to drop Steve a line. They are good people that we feel very good about SNC selling the DENCON product line. http://www.snchobbies.co.uk/ Thank You Matt Conte

I am sorry, I cannot take any pics. My camera took a dump on me. But hey, Highway. Dave Bell did a master for those springs that will work on the Monogram 91 F-250-350. He used the pics you post and I had an old built up of a 91 duelie for him to go by. The master turned out nice. I only have 2 lbs of rubber right now and I have to get a couple of hood molds finished first. But I am going to be ordering 10 lbs next week. So I should have them on my site in about 2 or 3 weeks. We also are working on a few other sized generic leaf springs to ad to our web site. Along with the Marmon-Harrington pre 1948 4wd conversion and a pretty neat little gasser true straight axle front end conversion all with mastered leaf spring by Dave Bell. Thanks for your input guys.

I have, but I am not in much of the know of the Tuner stuff. If I had masters. I would look into doing that stuff. But I have to have something to make the mold from. I have always thought that there was a market for that stuff, but I just do not know what would be popular or not. So I just do not go there at this time. Does not mean I will never do it. Just have to see what opportunities pop up for it to happen. Thanks for your input. Matt

As far as the body. Not much. Mainly marker lights. But the front grill and bumper are the hard parts. cannot use the latest version of the AMT 68 El Camino. It is too wide for this body. If this does well. I will offer 68-72 Malibu Wagons. -

I got the master back from dave this afternoon. It looks great. I just need to do a little with the interior tub, and then get the RTV for the molds. So as soon as I can get the rubber. We are going for it. Matt
