  1. Scott, I'am coming down to the cities on evening of November 16 and will be with Dave Sweet at Chili's in Shakopee that night for a few beers. How about joining us..Look at my avatar, thats how I look(not the dog) I'am speaking at an American Heart Association gala on the 18th as a survivor of heart attack/stroke..My daughter is the organizer..Hope to see you at Chili's..Should be there by 7:00..
  2. You are right with the comments on the red lines..Didn't see many after 1969..RWL Good Year were big on the Mopars with Rallye Wheels..
  3. unclescott58, just remember Mopars are the same color under hood, firewall, fenders and rad cradle with flat/semigloss black 2/3 sprayed up from the bottom..If you went to Mopars in Park in the late 90s to 2006 you would have heard me. I used to do the announcing and talking to owners at Raceway Park when it was held there..I owned a 64 Fury Convertible
  4. Can I use the chrome pen on my 63 Impala tail lights (molded in) then after dry use Tamiya Acrylic clear red for the light part..That is of course after a few days of chrome drying..
  5. Very nice and clean build..Everything looks perfect..Well done..
  6. While were talking 69 GTX convertibles I got one to show..Also built years ago, around 1997? I'am guessing..Never did like the way the upper w/shield frame sagged(weak after foiling)
  7. You think it came out nice..It came out very nice..If you don't like it get a hold of me and I'll take it..Clean,clean,clean...
  8. Lookin real good Dino..Not into this genra but it sure looks like the real deal..Add oil and crank her up..
  9. Thanks to MCW Resin for the quick delivery of my 1965 Dodge 2 dr post..Ordered it September 2,2017 and received it September 20,2017..Very quick delivery and well packaged..Thanks to USPS for the safe delivery even though the package was labeled Fragile..
  10. Received my MCW resin..I ordered it on September 2 and it arrived September 19..Wow to Canada, in just over two weeks..Thank you MCW Resins...Shipping only $16.00 US..In Canada that would have taken at least a month..Thank you to US Postal service too..
  11. Those were done by Rod Maskiw..I gave him the louvers from a 71 Monogram Cuda..He just cleaned them up and they fit right on..
  12. Very nicely done especially after only being your third finish after a 25 year lay off..You definately haven't lost your skills..Very nice..
  13. Here is a shot of my 1966 Nova with BMF done by Peter Poskernuk..I don't have the eyes or dexterity to do it now so I get who I call the BMF "King" to do mine..I think the fleck in the paint is too much but with the wetsanding and polishing I did, I don't think I will strip it..I'll build it and enjoy it..
  14. Actually the last few winters in mid North Dakota,Fargo area haven't been too bad for snow..Cold maybe but its been fairly good..I live 230 miles north in Winnipeg and make many trips to that area in the winter..
  15. Well after all the replys(4) I went and ordered my stock 65 Coronet 2 dr post sedan from MCW Resins..Hope its as good as I was told..Guess I'll find out in about a month from now..Anything coming to Canada takes a while..I'am in no hurry though as long as its nice..
  16. Sure got edited quickly..Oh well, I should have know better..
  17. Keith Marks is a stand up guy..Very honest and trustworthy..Customer service is priority with him..Besides his business savy, he is a good modeler too and also a good BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH..
  18. Thank you, now all I have to do is send in the paperwork and how the exchange isn't too high..Living in Canada has its exchange problems and postal problems..
  19. What is the scoop on the MCW Resin 1965 Dodge Coronet 2 dr sedan(Stock version) I've never bought resin and really don't know what to look for..I've got a few Polar Light 65 Dodges to use for grill/bumpers/tail lights etc) and quite a few Lindberg 64 Dodge Stock 330 for interior/chassis and components/engine..What is the piece like and if anyone has built one can you show a picture or pictures...Thanks..
  20. Never really thought of it that way..Usually with the engine compartment it doesn't show and I don't turn them upside down to show the bottom of the fenders..Usually gets painted as I'am doing the body, as I spray on an empty paint bomb with masking tape holding on the inside of the top..Then I paint headliner to match interior..
  21. Snake, I went down stairs to have my shower and looked at it in normal light and put it on the display shelf..It looks okay..I'am going to leave it..Works well in the case with my other models and doesn't look out of place..Thanks for your suggestions...
  22. Very nicely done..Engine color is correct Chrysler Engine Turquoise or as Duplicolor calls it Chrysler Engine Green..Very well done and super clean,clean,clean....
  23. As I stated last week or so I had started on a 70 Road Runner,62 Plymouth and a 66 Nova..Finally got to wet sand the Nova..The paint is bomb from a 2006 Chrysler, Silver Steel Metallic..Years ago I used the same color on a Sunbeam..Didn't how much metallic..This Nova after I wet sanded and polished it looks like metalflake..The fleck is too large..I don't want to start over but maybe do another body/hood in a different color..Don't have polished picture but only before polish..What should I do? Paint is like glass and I've put in too many hours wetsanding an polishing to just give up..Do I swallow my pride and build it or do I paint another?
  24. The steel wheels were four holes and not the "police" rims..They came later in the 70's with police special Gran Furys and Dodge Coronets..Were big on the Diplomat police cars..Standard 15"rim came in 1970
  25. Won't be there..Too hard to walk and would have to get up at an ungodly time for a space..I will be at the Gauthier Show on Regent on Monday..Its an all Mopar show..
