  1. Duplicolor Perfect Match Toyota Light Champagne..
  2. Without sounding "smart". Things take time and money, I'am sure these will be released in future dates(years) possibility..On the AAR. Someone took a later issue of it and used the decals/engine et al one the recently released stock one..Idea?maybe..Good luck...
  3. I've never done a new topic but here goes.. I haven't built in 18 years and had a friend(Wally Breer) graft a 2 dr sedan roof on a 64 Lindberg Plymouth..Finally after a year and half I finished it..Not perfect but I'am happy..No wiring/plumbing etc (dexterity and patience) have lots to do with that..Basically done box stock..Has flaws,,critics? go ahead..The grill since the pictures has been chromed on top with the Molotow pen..Hope the pictures turn out so you can see..This car fought me all the way, but I guess not building in almost 2 decades that will happen...Thanks...
  4. Real nice looking job on your Dodge..You mentioned the glass..I did a 64 Plymouth with the 2 dr sedan roof grafted on and yes the glass seemed different..Glued it real good..Turned out okay but my rear glass came out like yours..Didn't seem to fit in the crevice nice and tight..Very nice job and clean,clean,clean..
  5. The guy down the lane from me has a Bricklin..Red like the picture but not in as good condition..Looks to have been beaten on in its life..He kinda runs a body shop out of his lower half of his house..Which isn't legal in our neighborhood but he's caused no trouble yet..He's actually been a good neighbor..
  6. Lookin like you got a real killer version there...Your wheel choice meh, not for me but its your car..You're doing a great job and that engine, color and assembly is to die for..Done up real good..
  7. Sure like that blue Charger..Very clean and well done..
  8. Being an event that ends in con, it must have been an IPMS deal..They have different rules and judging systems than most model clubs/shows. Congratulations on your and your kids awards..Nice stuff by the looks of the pictures..
  9. Never seen a picture of the solid gold one..Looks different..Used to seeing the blue/gold scheme..I liked Dick Hutchersons 67 in gold and brown scheme in 1967.
  10. Very nice job..The 60 Edsel was really just a Ford with different quirks that made it look Edsel..Was nice and separate in 1958 but just too radical for that time period..Front end was just butt ugly..
  11. Got one on the burner..Doing a 64 Belvedere that I put the sedan roof on..Actually a nice kit..Follow instruction steps though..I glued the rad cradle to the underhood sides and now don't know if the engine will drop in with the fan and all on..Also line up your exhaust pipes so the fit snug to the manifolds..I haven't built in years and I'am sure learning the hard way as I used to also..I did use the bench seat from the stock 330 too(blue car on box)..Yours should look pretty slick when you are done..
  12. SMD you did a FANTASTIC job on the AMC..Lots better than I could have done..You should be proud of the job and I'am proud to say that it once was mine..Thanks for giving it a good home...
  13. Wasn't there Steve but talking to Dennis and Rod they mentioned that the Chrysler was truly an unbelievable work of art..Being one who usually helps pick the winner but not being there this year, there was no doubt that they picked the right car..
  14. I think that was mentioned on some forums when they were released many years ago..Mistake? who knows..
  15. That picture and story remind me of my adventures with a 40 Ford sedan in and around 1961-1962..The Hudson's Bay Department store had a model contest and I entered my Black Ford(Pactra N'Amel) Gold/White pinwhale corduroy interior with flat white under fenders..Won best paint..Thing is I know the guy who has lots of my old models from then..He's a street rodder from where I live and nothing if for sale.Although he says when time comes I get first crack at his collection..Hope I live long enough to buy it or have the money to..
  16. Why do people show models like this?..Its a work of art..Very well detailed and finished..You should be very proud of your work..Just wish I could do something as clean and well done as your Nova..Not even with the details..Again VERY WELL DONE...
  17. This is as close to the real deal as you are going to get..Dr.Jay outdid himself on this one..He is one AWSOME builder and craftsman..Up there with the best..
  18. Steve there are some guys in Fargo and also in Winnipeg Manitoba( 3 hours drive to meet in Fargo) sometimes and good dinner and talk models for a few hours makes a guy feel at home..Dennis Ezmerlain,Rod Maskiw and myself don't mind a ride down to shoot the poop..Let me know on the site and I'll try to arrange something... Steven sorry to hear you are moving but Fargo is a real nice city..Its close to Winnipeg where Rod and Dennis and I come from (3 hours) Its got a good hobby shop and fantastic shopping and good restaurants...Its a little colder than the cities but still nice..They didn't have any snow this year If you like roundy round racing they have a 3/8 mile dirt in West Fargo Fairground and the best 1/3 mile track is about an hour north in Grand Forks..Great racing there every Friday night..After you've moved we'll have to exchange #s and keep in touch..Hope maybe you'll be at NNL North this year too..Good luck and hope you enjoy Fargo..
  19. You haven't been building in 18 years..You actually have and developed great skills which stuck with you..Your paint is something else too..Very nicely done..I can see why you won Best Camaro..
  20. #1 The first wheels..Like the big rubber..Thin tires just don't suit street rods to me..Other will probably think differently....

Its called Hobby Hut and it off 17th ave west just the other side of West Acres Mall..Can't remember whether Hawley Mn is off Main Avenue east..There are some real nice places there..If your into Lakes there is Detroit Lakes about an hour east of Fargo/Moorehead..You and your family will like it there..Its pretty peaceful and plenty friendly..

  23. Very nice work on your model..The 41 Plymouth was an ugly car compared to the equivelent Ford and Chev..No wonder the model companies never made this car..It can be found anywhere at low prices..They are not scarce..Yours is going to look killer...
  24. The picture says Dodge Mirada but that car is an Imperial..Check on google Imperial and it looks just like the picture..
