  1. I did the GTX and Bird also..Might have something to do with the separate sided interior..The tub one fit well and chassis well but not this one..Also found that the wheel backs didn't fit into the tires flush like the others..Too late now, its all buttoned up and going on the shelf..Nice shelf car looking through the glass..LOL
  2. Here is my 70 Road Runner I just finished up tonight..Fought me all the way on final assembly. Nothing fit after interior installed but its okay for a shelf model..Not going to win any contests with this but its built box stock so I don't intend on entering it in any contests..Second one finished in 18 years and getting better but lots of improvements..Got to get a thicker wire for the rad hose, lost during construction..Lacquer Duplicolor Perfect Match with clear polished with Meguiar's Scratch X 2.0 and finished with Meguiar's Gold Class Paste..Fun build till final assembly but glad and pleased its done..
  3. Here is a photo of my 62 Chev Bel-Air 2 dr ht..It was the last model I painted and finished 18 years ago before I had my slump..Painted 63 Chevrolet Autumn Gold(airbrush, clear out of rattle can) Wetsanded and polished with Meguiar's Cleaner then finished off with Meguiar's Gold Class paste..I figure this is one of my best..It was a fun kit and one of AMT's better issues(blue on box) Let me know the faults..Thank you...
  4. Very nice Daniel..Something you don't see too often..We had a racer Wayne Imrie here in Winnipeg ran a Studebaker Lark in the super stock class..It was wicked fast..
  5. A friend of mine has three complete AMT race tracks. One is brand new still sealed and unopened, the other two have been reconditioned and work perfectly..He's made about a dozen more cars from JoHan and Lindberg Mopar kits..Sure is fun to play with on those stormy night when the highways are nearly impassable..He lives about 30 miles from me..It sure brings back memories..They were huge money when they were released and he did pay dearly for the three he got on the Bay from the same guy..
  6. Don't really know you, but welcome back..THANK YOU for your service..Good luck on your other things..Hoping the best for you..
  7. Very nice and clean build..I've seen quite a few nice ones on this site and others I went and bought one..Got a 68-69 and now a 70..Personally I like the 69 as my favorite but these 70s sure are nice..Very nicely done build of yours..
  8. R.Scott..Unclescott58 See you Friday night at Chile's in Shakopee at 7:00 in the bar..Look for me, Iook like the avatar without my dog..See you then..I'd email you but it doesn't show how to get to your site or email addy..
  9. Scott, nice score..I will be at Shakopee Chiles at 7:00 on Friday night the 17th of November..Check in the bar for me..Look like my avatar, not the dog...LOL
  10. Need to get a hold of Uncle Scott 58 member in Minneapolis Mn or area..
  11. Can I use the chrome pen on my 63 Impala tail lights (molded in) then after dry use Tamiya Acrylic clear red for the light part..That is of course after a few days of chrome drying..
  12. Very nice job on that Hudson..I know you do very good work as I've seen some of your other builds..Very clean and well done..My only comment isn't on your build or anything to do with it..I just don't see what people saw in the Hudsons of that design..
  13. What ever it is or who makes it, unless its a re-release they will get some miles out of the tooling..Or its maybe the final version of the tooling..Who knows..Time will tell. Its only 4 days away..Hold on and shut up, the ride is going to be exciting..
  14. I like, very well done and super clean build..
  15. Looks like you haven't lost your touch..First time foiling? very good job..Finish and execution if very well done..
  16. That 1966 Light Turquoise Belvedere used to be owned by me..It went from Winnipeg Canada to Rousseau Minnesota then somewhere else..I'd know that car anywhere just by the engine compartment..Was a sweet ride..
  17. That was a car out of the shop of Ray Nichols..He was Chrysler go to man for NASCAR and USAC then..Even the Pettys got their stuff from him and re worked it to their specs..
  18. Matthew, there is just something about a 62 Bel-Air bubble top..One of AMT's best models too..
  19. Very sad, horrible thing to happen..My thoughts and Prayers go out this gentleman..
  20. Great looking build..Here is mine I did approx 18 years ago..Hope you don't mind me showing.Don't want to hi-jack your thread...
  21. Matthew, nice work but how do your photo's turn out not the right size..The cars look deformed..They look stubby...
  22. Have to agree on the Superbird..White striped headlight surrounds and top..If Galen said it correct I would be suspicious..He authertized a 66 Coronet 500 Convertible from where I live twice..I know it started out as a 383 auto car..The 70 Cuda sedan I think was custom made..The side glass it too high compared to the W/shield..I've read somewhere that someone built it as a what if..Very nicely done though..
  23. The "KING" would be proud..Very nicely done and clean work..
  24. Red lines were available but I've never seen any on a 1970 car..They faded away in 1969..Goodyear RWL were the big deal with Rallye Wheels in 1970..
  25. You're going to like it here..Like your 71 GTX. Color looks like a 999 Chrysler code..To black wash your grill, use Tamiya Smoke Acrylic brush paint..It fills in the gaps and any stuff that doesn't, use a Q-tip dipped in Windex to wipe it off(even after its dry)..Makes a huge difference.. Another tip, most car manufacturers didn't have white dashboards..You've done some nice clean work keep it up..Hope you didn't mind my tips...
