  1. I though and I might be wrong but wasn't the Texan only built to co-inside with the La Femme in 1955 and 56? Never knew they made them after that..Beautiful model and very well done and clean..
  2. That car, some thing on that car is illegal..Smokey NEVER made a car without some kind of scheming done..Your model is excellent and very well done..Super clean and without a doubt would be very aerodynamic on the track..
  3. WOW..Very nicely done..Color is killer and stance is right on..Box stock with no wiring on engine..Very clean under hood too (who need wiring/plumbing) when models are built this clean..VERY WELL DONE..YOU SHOULD BE VERY PROUD Mopar to ya Bud.
  4. The 440 from the original trophy series 49 Mercury was said to be the best rendition of the Mopar Big Block..You can't really tell one from the other..Other than that the ones from the Lindberg 64 Belvedere (black car on box) or the 64 Dodge 330 sedan( turquoise on box) would be very good...Also the Revell 69 Charger(blue on box) BTW All GTXs came with 440s not 383s Hemi was optional..
  5. After I wetsand with 2000 and up I use either Meguiar's Scratch X 2.0 which is just a touch more agressive than Meguiar's Cleaner..Follow with Meguiar's Gold Class paste, light coat then buffed when haze..Buy the products once and good for you models probably for life..Been using Meguiar's on my 1:1s for over 35 years and thought why not on models too..
  6. When Bobby Allison drove for Junior Johnson he had a sweet deal with Coke..Junior one day was seen drinking a Pepsi so the Coke logos all disappeared..As so the rumor is..
  7. If that is a model it sure is excellent work..VERY,VERY nice..
  8. Sweet..Thats when NASCAR Stock Cars were for real..They even looked real not like now..Very nice model and well done...
  9. Don't need to buy any more models but that 60 Chev truck sure looks good and has my interest..
  10. Nice awards in the background..Your work deserved them..
  11. Shows very nice.Your work although being done very quickly if fantastic..Sure would like to be able to build like you..Your car is very clean and well done and shows very good..
  12. With all that fantastic detail I sure hope you can paint..I see lots of models with fantastic detail then the person puts on paint and it rough/pebbly and uneven..Not smoothed out..Seeing the detail and work you've done I'am sure the finished product will be a work of art..Keep showing results...
  13. Very nicely done and you can see by the Northern Minnesota air that you've definately got you your touch back..That cool air got you doing what you do best..Fantastic work and for sure another winner..
  14. Has anyone used L A Totally Awsome to remove paint and what did you think?
  15. There were no secrets back then, although everyone said there was..They all went to the same galas and parties and shot the BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH with each other..How do you think the complete 62 Mopar line got screw up..Someone talking and drinking and not understanding the circumstances..Mopar screw up then but did turn our okay in the LONG run..
  16. Thanks,for posting the picture....
  17. To me David Pearson's nicest car was the one when he left Chrysler..The 1967 Fairlane by Holman-Moody..It was brown and gold, very sharp car..Too bad I don't have a picture..
  18. Just got back from shooting another coat on the body and hood..I should have left it alone but NO got to give another coat, turned out better than before(go figger) Hope the paint settles and dries like it did during the overnight..Will be no clear on this..Light polish with Meguiar's Scratch X2.0 then Meguiar's Gold Class paste to finish it off..Then foil..Hope it turns out good, so far good..
  19. I've shot a Krylon Fusion paint over Duplicolor Sandable Grey Primer..Turned out okay, maybe another coat needed..Can I spray Duplicolor Acrylic Emamel Clear(Tall Black label can) over the Krylon Fusion paint? If not, I'll just lightly 2000 wet or higher then polish with either Meguiar's Scratch X2.0 or Cleaner the finish with Meguiar's Gold Class Paste..Help is needed, I don't want to strip it and start over...Thanks..
  20. I like this..It does have the Junior Johnson Banana boat look to it..Got that low racey look..
  21. Randy Bodkin does some very clean and well done models..He's like a factory though..Puts one out about weekly..All very well done and clean,clean,clean..
  22. Winner of Winnipeg Model Car Club award for Most Roadworthy Car at NNL North a few years ago..This model has to be seen live to see how nice and cleanly built it is..Fantastic cannot describe the build..
  23. With the different type of plastic does the liquid quick drying/welding glues work and does Duplicolor primer and paint work like the older plastic of the 64 Lindberg kits..This plastic looks brittle and lighter color..Does it all work the same..Looking forward to getting into this car..Going to be a light tan with Champagne metallic interior with semi gloss clear and steel wheels in factory color like the 64 Dodge I will show..Thanks for your help everyone..
  24. Fantastic work, but I hope you've painted the underside of the interior to match the underside of the car..It does show..
  25. If in the wrong classification would someone put it in the right one for me please..
