Had one of those years ago molded in bright yellow..Flash,Flash, and more Flash..I think it said Lensey on the box..Did the body and sold it to a guy here in Winnipeg who has one in the color I painted it..He said he can't paint so he was pleased..You did a convincing job on a turd and made it a nice piece..Well done..

1964 Plymouth Fury Convertible..Original unbuilt JoHan annual..Had for many years..Kit was in mint condition..Because of my stroke in 1998 and not having the dexterity to build it like it should be done, I shipped it to Frank LuQue who I met years ago at NNL North..He does fantastic work..Sent him photo's of the real deal and he built it for me..Here are some pictures and of the real deal..

Old Hobby Shop Photos
moparfarmer replied to Daddyfink's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
You're all talking about old hobby shops..Was at a small mall in south Winnipeg today and saw an empty store front with the sign Hobby Source opening soon..Plastic kits,R/C cars and planes..Supplies and paint..Hope its good..You don't often see new hobby shops opening..I think it could be a national Canadian company..Who knows..I'll still support the ones who have been good to me over the years though.. -
Can anyone relate...
moparfarmer replied to foxbat426's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I can't do the wiring and extra detail under hood because of dexterity from stroke and above all,patience..My biggest downfall now is I don't have the mojo going..I paint and do paint detail but just last three months have no mojo..Guess it will come back when the colder weather settles in.. -

Johan 1963 Plymouth Fury. A Little More Progress.
moparfarmer replied to StevenGuthmiller's topic in WIP: Model Cars
In real life the larger 65-66 Plymouth "C" bodies used 118 wheelbase..The intermediate "B" bodies were 116..Dodge was just a bit longer in both C and B bodies..The Dodge "C" body was 120 and the "B" was 118...The Chryslers were 121..Your Lawman and 64 Belvedere should be the same as your 63 Fury..with no modifications.. -

We've got a panel version in our city as a contractors vehicle..Its bright yellow with red rims..On the side it says "Mr Electric" See it all over the place..Must be the owners vehicle as I've seen lots of Ford Transits and Sprinters with the same logo and colors..Kind of a neat ugly looking vehicle..Sure get attention..

My big deal is yellow plug wires. To me it makes the underhood detailing look cheap..I remember those cheap yellow wires with a MSD yellow box on cars.. -

Opinion on Revell ProModeler 69 Dodge Daytona kit
moparfarmer replied to shoopdog's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
The one with the yellow car on the box had the smaller roof(chopped) The one with the red car has the corrected roof on it..Back when they first came out,if you sent them the price code they would replace all the non chrome parts..They then retooled the body to the one on the red box top.. -

Very nice job on the Bee..Well done engine compartment but maybe pass on the white walls..Rallye wheels looked better and tougher with black walls or Good Year Raised White Letters..Very nice work..So far so good..Gonna look killer when done..
