  2. looks like you are doing great, I want to try doing something like that one day, looks like it will be fun, lots of work though

  4. Hello all, I started tinkering around with this a few weeks ago and it initially started out with HOK White pearl base shot on it but there were a few issues with some of the emblems I removed. I worked them over some and went with the HOK bittersweet pearl being a little darker and knowing it would cover with less coats. There was still a few small issues so I decided I would build this as if it was in progress. I primered the trouble spots on the front fenders and the whole decklid and misted some black over to act as a guide coat. I will not clear, just leave the base and put the bare metal around the windows, should be an interesting build.
  5. Like your build, may have to pick up one of these kits!

  10. Nice Build
  11. nice build, like all the details!
  12. thank you for the comments Russ, I had a lot of different ideas on color but when I walked out to the shed and saw the two greens it hit me as to what I wanted. I was a little concerned about the urethane building up with the Kandy but with a green base it only took a few coats with the organic to cover.
  13. Nice build, the color looks nice and I like your clean detail
  14. great build, super clean work always looks good and the color really goes with this car!
  15. nice build, love the details. Nice pick in color too, HOK pearls really look good, I've got a Willy's I painted either Tangelo or Sunset about 10 years ago, will finish one day!
  16. very nice build, everything really came together well on this, the color fits nice with the work on this, great job
  17. Thank you all for the comments, the hood does not sit right, some of the trim pieces did not fit right either. It started out really good but was trying to get it done for an event and didn't take the time needed, eventually I'll do another one and know a few things to check ahead of time.
  18. Hello all, was looking for something else and saw this boxed up so I thought I'd post a few pics. This was my first attempt at building a Revell Black Widow. It started out great, Interior decals laid down nicely, had black flocking all around, floor, seats and doors. Had some issues with a few pieces fitting correctly and turned out to be at the last minute for needing to get it finished. Paint came out decent, HOK Organic Green over Planet Green base and the lighter green on decklid and upper rear panels is HOK Limetime Pearl. Will be playing with another one of these soon, more time for sure will be taken, enjoy the pics.
  19. nice looking build, don't see too many of these around.
  20. great work here, nice to see these in progress, i'd love to build one but where do you put the thing when it is done.
  21. nice build here, lot of little details that make it stand out
  22. Nice build, I like the way it all came together
  23. very nice build, don't see many of these. I have one that was started about 12 years ago, fade away fenders, frenched headlights, maybe I'll have to get back on it after seeing how nice this one came out!
  24. Nice build, that is a fun kit and you did a great job of changing it up!
  25. Great to see young builders getting involved in the hobby. I am now 31 and grew up around classic cars and my father got me into building models at 12. My daughter is now 11 and building. I've tried getting her into it for a couple of years without pushing her into it but it seems like the desire is now there. Good luck and keep bulding!
