  2. Thank you Jon, it came out pretty nice. This was the first base coat candy I've sprayed and did not know what to expect, have always used the urethanes
  3. Just finished spraying, DBC white basecoat under HOK Kandy Apple Red B/C with Dupont Chroma Clear.

  14. thank you Mike, we have one started from years back that is all worked over really nice but it is a little longer in the front, so this one I thought I'd try something different.
  15. Here are a pic with the plastic wood knocked down.
  16. We thin it out and it works great for the initial filling and working over, I'll use some evercoat towards the finishing part of it.
  17. Here are a few more pics after some dremeling and sanding, then roughing everything in with some plastic wood. I'm going to let it sit for a few days then will start working it over again and get everything cleaned up and start doing something in the rear section.

  19. The other day I pulled out one of the custom options from an amt 50 Ford. I noticed when simple glued in and worked over, it seems to add some length to the car so I removed some of the stock plastic from the front fenders so that the custom piece wouldn't add much length.
  20. Hey Chris, I see all that time is going to pay off very nicely, looking forward to watching the progress as this one comes along! This thing is going to be sweet!

  22. Here are a couple more pics after a little more scribing and sanding. Drip rail removed, used the dremel tool where the door handles and locks were and took out the little emblem under the side moldings. Did a little filling with some evercoat. Hopefully tomorrow we'll do some more sanding and start working over the front and rear sections!
