  1. Sweet build, killer job! Sweet build, killer job!
  2. I've actually got a 59 convertible I started the same day that is kandy violet I need to find too! These were cleaned up and painted probably in 1998 or 1999, time to finish them!
  3. Looking good, I want to build one of these some time, sleek style!
  4. Thank you all for the kind comments! I'll be posting some pics of my blue one later this evening or tomorrow, think I like it of the 2. Great kit though, I'm looking forward to building a 63 and 64 eventually!
  5. Nice
  6. Very clean build
  7. One of my favorite builds, this is just a fun kit to build. This was actually a fairly quick build, cleaned up the body, added some plug wires to the motor, interior is flocked, has photo etched handles and window cranks, aluminum steering column and wheel, lowered and the body is covered in HOK Passion Pearl base coat with Sikkens Clear. The wheels and tires came out of an Impala street machine kit from AMT. I started cleaning up another body as I would like to build one with some steel wheels and white walls, nice 60's style with a nice kandy paint job!
  8. This was build from the Monogram kit, mostly box stock with some added engine details, cleaned up and lowered. This was a fun build as I have always wanted to build a 36 Ford but never got around to it, I have a few of the older AMT ones but when Monogram released this one I figured I would give it a run. The paint on this one is HOK's Kandy Apple Red basecoat with some snap clear. This was the first kandy basecoat paint job I did and I was happy with it. The basecoat was much easier to use having multiple parts to spray and not having as much difficulty with color matching as you would with a traditional urethane Kandy but it also does not have the depth of a urethane kandy in my opinion. These pictures show the color a bit lighter than it actually is, it is a bit darker. Very fun build!
  9. Here the first of two AMT 65' Rivi's I have completed. Really like this kit, fun simple build and they look great. The first one I did I removed the emblems and door handles from the body, cleaned up the mold lines, flash and scribed the body lines out. It was painted with HOK's Kandy Tangerine over an Orion Silver Base then cleared with Sikkens clear. It has baby moon wheels on thin white walls from the pats box and is lowered. The motor is the kit based nailhead with plug wires, the interior is done in a tan with tan flocking for carpet. Overall a fun and quick build, makes for a great shelf piece.
  10. I really appreciate the kind comments from everyone, thank you very much. I will post the models individually with more info, I've taken a few pics, not the best lighting but when we get some sun I'll add a few outside pics to better show some of the Kandy's and Pearls.
  11. Sick build right here, looking forward to seeing this come along! I was going through some kits the other day looking for something and saw some of my 55 and 57 trucks sitting there and thought it would be fun to build something like this, Keep the updates coming!
  12. Hello all, Haven't posted in a bit, got the bite after going to the NNL this past weekend, talking with some old friends and thinking about those projects sitting in boxes! Hopefully get some stuff done this year and get back in the swing of things. Here are a few models I took to display, will probably post some individual pictures and details in the near future, thought I'd share these for now. Enjoy and thank you for checking them out! 1962 Chevy 1965 Impala 1936 Ford (Background 1965 Riviera and 1961 Impala) 1940 Ford 1932 Ford 1965 Riviera and 1965 El Camino 1940 Ford Sedan Delivery
  13. What's up everyone, been quite sometime since I've posted here and really haven't been working on much over the past few years but getting back at it. Here is one I'm hoping to get completed sometime soon, will post a some better pictures as I get back on it in the next week or so. The body was kept stock, just cleaned up really well and shot with House of Kolor Nova Orange Base followed with Kandy Pagan Gold and Sikkens Clear. These pics don't show color very well but will post some better ones soon. Not sure if I'll complete this interior tub or not as I wasn't happy with a few simple things, it was shot in HOK Snow White Pearl, painted the floor section black then used black flocking for carpet. Thanks for checking it out!
