  1. Astonishing stuff. Just to brighten your day, looks like there's a new Caterham in the pipeline, introduced today at the Singapore Grand Prix -- the AeroSeven Concept, due for production about a year from now. http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/car/5675/Caterham-AeroSeven-Concept.html

    Opel!

Ditto from a Knoxville guy. Many years ago, I thought this would be cool to find as a 1:1, but would need larger wheels. I must say that this is a terrific build, but I don't think it looks right with the larger wheels in the build.
  3. Here's what I don't understand about this thread: Why ask why? Isn't detailing a basic part of the hobby?
  4. This means look toward the top of the General forum where you posted this. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=59113
  5. Okay. Perfekt. Awesomely beautiful work. Couldn't be better. Now let's see you do a 1969 Camaro.
  6. Spectacular is too mild a word for this stunning piece of work. I'd love to see what you'd do with the 1/16 classics.
  7. What is this about? What is a GTA V? EDIT: Okay, give me 5 minutes. Is the Gran Turismo Auto 5?
  8. I don't recall if it was part of the original offering, but I see the Pocher site also lists a display case.
  9. You are correct, sir. There is nothing to see. I'm moving along.
  10. I'm just trying presenting another opinion on this car, and I'm sure I'm not alone. Opinions are what this forum is about. If you think I'm trying to stir up trouble... well, I won't say it. Your combative comment is one to stir up trouble.
  11. I have no intention of criticizing anyone, but I have been following the evolution of opinions on this kit, roof height, etc., and I am having a hard time trying to understand why any of this is of particular importance. This 1:1 Mustang almost destroyed the Mustang brand for many reasons including weak, lousy styling, and I just don't get it.
  12. When I was a little kid in the 50s, my Dad's boss gave him his old 1941 Cadillac Fleetwood sedan (like new) instead of a bonus. It was a big, bulbous car that was totally out of step with 50s cars, and I was embarrassed. But I once heard a little girl say "oooh, what a beautiful car" as we drove by, and I was okay with it after that. I wish I had it today.
  13. Unbelievably beautiful I wish you would also show us larger scale classics to rival the late Martin Swire.
  14. Nothing there or anywhere else for me.
  15. The only vehicle in this category that would be of any interest to me would be the Lamborghini LM.
  16. I have the standard metal handles -- a bit too slippery for my taste in any thickness (though masking tape wrap can cure that) -- plus a rubber handle and a thick, grooved wood handle in a cased set of assorted blades and handles. I find that the wood handle provides the best, most comfortable grip. Also, surgical steel scalpel blades cut cleaner and last longer.
  17. The Food City supermarket chain here in Tennessee has one of those which they use for promotional purposes, in shows and at the Food City 250 and 500 races. When I was doing their advertising, I shot a commercial with Dale Earnhardt and Dale Jr. where Dale Jr. was driving it around.
  18. In any case, somewhere along the way you will find a Topic Moderation button at bottom left. Click on that and you can lock the thread.
  19. 1. PM Casey or Harry with links to the threads you started that you want deleted. OR 2. If you started the threads, you can lock them. You can't delete them yourself.
  20. Great job. Any interior or engine shots?
  21. What a story. The owner found it abandoned in a warehouse and bought it for $100. Just sold at auction for over $920,000. http://www.cnn.com/video/data/2.0/video/bestoftv/2013/09/10/bond-car-sell-at-auction.cnn.html
  22. Another question -- what brand and specific color of paint did you use? Also, I'd like to see what you could do with Bburago's 1:18 Bugatti T59 kit (it's really closer to 1:15).
  23. Superb job on one of my favorite kits. I see you also added the brake cables, and it looks very much like you did replace the body safety wires (I agree with the others -- how did you do it?). This is a very big achievement on a very small kit.
  24. I also had an '84 standard 944, dark gunmetal. I'm looking forward to seeing how you create an '84.
