  1. NO damping here!!!! to each his own........I will bet they sell a TON of them....the true goal. And I'm helping....got 6 coming...for a start!
  2. You the man Chuck........one more request???? 3/4 front and rear body shot??? Want to see how hard it will be to fit a 72 rear bumper to body.
  3. I myself don't care WHY people are buying the kit......as long as it sells!!!!! And when I say 'rumor' on the sales.......I know for a fact how well pre-orders have gone.....I just can;t say how...... I told Revell a long time ago they would be surprised how well this kit will do. I am more often wrong on picks for new tools.....but this one I knew would be good. Wait until some get built!!! (and not as the S&H version)
  4. I think it's a little more than S&H demand...... The fact that this car was the first NASCAR Cup ride for folks like Bill Elliott and DE Sr, raced the 24 hours Le Mans and can be the basis for other builds is driving sales. I'll be building a Big Lebowski Torino among 6-7 others.
  5. RUMOR has it........the pre-orders are way up on this kit....so there is a demand for American 70's era cars.....hope we get a 77 Thunderbird out of this tool.......it'd sell even better.
  6. You are right....it's as if it time traveled from the 1980's Monogram shops.....not a bad thing really. thx!!
  7. Agree.....doubt any tooling was done for a die cast....but I bet some planning was done toward it back in the day. thx
  8. thank you....yes! can we see the hood hinge set up and decals??? plez!
  9. A long time ago when this kit was announced I thought it may have had it's roots in the die cast world. Even if it was only an idea during that period Revell was doing so many TV and movie related vehicles. Revell's 58 Chevy comes to mind. I always felt it was going to be in the American Graffiti line as Steve/Toad car. I myself can't wait to see and buy my own copies. BTW yor pics are not working for me.
  10. I love my 'looser' AMC car........How many car shows do I go to and NOT see look-a-likes??? Anytime someone needs a 1/1 to do scale drawings......come on down!!!!!
  11. That is a HOT topic in the model railroad world. I HATE graffiti so in the little world I control I have NONE!!!! Too clean??? Yep I weather them too......
  12. Well since you asked...........( i wasn't on my home PC really) Top - 86 foot Auto Parts carrier. Thrall well Intermodal car Same car finished with my decals. I worked for First Union at one time....so model their cars. Also some wooded older cars.....(wood cars made from plastic.....)
  13. Very nice work!!!! I model O scale too and build my own cars too.
  14. Nice finish and stance.....
  15. Revell will SHOW them at Toledo.........for sale DEC
  16. Not with any AMT KIT........same era....same idea....very different kit.
  17. One of the kits Revell did during an era that was less than great. This kit shared 99% with a like Chevy. VERY simple and somewhat generic details. Like the Mustang/Capri kit of the same era.....better kits out there. MIGHT be a OK start to a full on IMSA racer.......but lots of work needed.
  18. All fun!!! A Matador is..........different.....and I'm, as my wife says, am different.....perfect fit!
  19. Endorsed by many of the worlds Hudson experts.....Moebius' 52-53 Hornet. I took late test shots to the International HET meet and had experts from all over the world look at the kits. Got about a 100% thumbs up on them for accuracy. I, along with a number of HET club members, have built a good number of the kits. Fit, finish and accuracy are tops. Dis-claimer....I have helped out on the Hudson and other Moebius kits.....but worked with RM and RC2 and feel I am being even handed.
  20. Is that the pre-built RPG that goes for around $60??? Saw one at a hobby shop....looked cool. NICE mods!
  21. Dupli-color sealer (#1699) and Tamiya primer. The Dupli-color is like a scale primer.....and I buy the BIG can locally for less than $4 and it works great for me.
  22. I sold over 2500 kits this year.....NEED little......
  23. No slam on the show as it is today......the only constant is change. In the old days I'd take a big wad of cash....and then try and fit it all in my car for the 10 hour drive home. Last year I bought one model.......but I went to see folks...which I did....same plan this year,,,
  24. Great ideas and craftsmanship.......
  25. I plan on being there......easy to spot.....I'm in the black wheelchair!
