Your craftsmanship is great!! I love this kit warts and all. I have more PLANS to build it than actual completions. I had to build this one first...... Lots of box stock with just a few parts swapped. Fun simple build. Can't wait to see yours finished.....

LOVE those Sq Birds!!!! All based on the Ford Fox platform....the Model T of the Era........I owned 2 Fairmonts, a LTDII wagon and a Mercury wagon like the LTDII......all rugged simple cars. Electronics the only sore spot......it killed my LTDII when it went down and took EFI and IGN with it. But I had paid $900 for it and we used it for 5 years trouble free......she did her job!!!

That's a case of having your cake AND eat it too. All Javelins share many parts, Door skins are the same for all years...same for A pillars and windshields. Shared rear bumpers and spoilers. So if you were to tool a early Javelin converting it later would be easy and really extend the tool life and lower cost.

The new Challengers were new tooling....as is the 69 Dodge Charger snap kit. Yes....I'd like to see more.....some....new tooling. But they have such an extensive library of tooling....not sure I could justify new tooling if I was in charge. There is still a lot of gold in that mine. Let Moebius know what you want in scale.

I've been lucky enough to help out in the kit development area for going on 30 years on and off. I thought, years ago, that I could make better choices than kit companies. But after years of seeing the time (ie money), skill and RISK in the model kit biz I understand better today. And while I still have kit ideas in the back of my mind I want to see become real kits....I understand why they will not. Let's put it this way......want to show you know better than the kit companies?? Put your money up. I know when I suggested an 'off the wall' idea and it was accepted IF I invested my own cash......things change.

You are correct in that Surfite towers over other Roth creations...... It does so because you sit up in it like you would in a dining table chair. And if you find photos of Roth in the car.....LOTS of head room yet!! The more traditional Roth showrods were cramped and you almost laid down in them to get bubble tops to close!! I myself have never measured the Revell Surfite but a buddy of mine that is informed on Roth and the models (knew him personally) says it's 1/25. Take it for what it is worth. There is a story about how when Revell tooled it they feared it was to SMALL....thus they added the hut to fill the box more.

They don't 'stock' kits at the store.....inventory sitting in a back room cost money. If you notice kits come in big returnable containers from a central warehouse. One thing I have noticed at HL visits is I am not alone on the model kit isle any longer.......empty shelves may be GOOD news.....

This started as the Revell Tony Nancy kit......... I like them all....I find something good in all of them. The Nancy kit not near as hard to build today as it was when I was 7 years old!!!

I have so many ideas for the kit that are NOT S&H I may order a case.......

Someone is gathering your info via all the browsers (mainstream any way) with all about equal. During my IT days I kept up with all of them.....and why I went with FF.....but retired 10 years......a bit out of touch.

Firefox user from day one...... But it did start having issues about 4 months ago. Per the net.....it is not being supported like it once was. Got Chrome and issues went away. Chrome looks at what you do more than FF but it was not working for me.

There was a kit in 1/48 O scale too.......but not 1/25. Not a real difficult project to scratch build.....

If they do I promise full access to a 1/1.......... Let Moebius know what you want!!!

Cool spin!! Same story I heard Tom G.........I recall how it was such a high dollar kit before the reissue. First one I ever saw was at Toledo. Never saw it first issue.....and I lived in So Cal!!
