  1. The majority of the wheels generally fit any AMT or MPC tire; while a couple of the Revell wheels repopped here (like the old style small window rear Halibrands and 16" American mag wheels) obviously fit the Revell M&H Racemaster slicks found in kits like the Miss Deal Studebaker, Anglia or Thames (older issues), and the Tony Nancy double dragster kit. The wheels are one-piece as pictured. I do not have any photos showing the side profile; but if you send me an e-mail in regards to any particular wheel that you might be interested in I could take some more photos for you. Below is my e-mail address...........Ed lowcab36@epix.net
  2. I still have a three or four of these left in stock ready to go. When the mold is used up I will be discontinuing this body. Since I tried out a new mold rubber (that is not performing like my usual mold rubber) when I remolded this body the last time I am not expecting to produce too many more copies.
  3. If anyone is still interested.........Joe Curtis is currently casting my old chopped '33 Willys pickup (just the cab and corrected front end are mine) with my permission; and selling them with his old bed and rear fenders......with or without decals for specific 1:1 gasser Willys pickups that ran back in the day for a limited time. https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-33-Willys-Pickup-Chopped-Top-1-25-Resin-Body-Bizio-Decals-Fremont-Racing/322934724537?hash=item4b3068d7b9:g:W2gAAOSwk1haEiX6 https://www.ebay.com/sch/paintinjoe/m.html?item=322892837668&hash=item4b2de9b324%3Ag%3AW2gAAOSwk1haEiX6&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562

  5. Apparently I have not kept up with posting the new wheels I have molded over the past year or two. There are some slight blems in a couple wheels I used to take the photos of, so don't let that worry you. I try to spot any blems and toss them aside. I do not know how much longer I will be selling wheels at this point due to lack of interest. The wheels are regularly $5.00 a set. I will be selling them for $4.00 a set/$2.00 a pair from now until the end of the year. So, if you see something you are interested in grab it while it is still available. https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/member_dealer_directory/drag-city-casting-/parts/ These steel wheels are different than the ones above. These are the old Johan deep dish steel wheels with the slots opened up. The ones above use the same center section; but the outer rim from the rare Aurora parts pack steel wheels.
  6. Thanks for that little bit of info......I'll try e-mailing him.
  7. Does anyone have current contact information for Joe; and/or his phone number?...........Ed
  8. I would be interested in popping a mold off of one of your spare hoods. It looks like the AMT hood to me; as does your yellow Vette. Am I correct here? You can PM me or e-mail me at lowcab36@epix.net. I dig your roadster by the way! Ed
  9. I was going to say exactly the same thing! You have really blown me away with this build; and not just because I like the subject matter! This needs to be shown to anyone who thinks that model cars are not an art form!
  10. Just to clear things up for anyone that comes across this thread again. This IS an original issue Blue Beetle that I built a number of years ago. I simply polished the bare plastic out rather than paint the body because I liked the color so much; and wanted to stay more true to the kit. While not being 100% faithful to the box art; I could not get past the parts that were painted red in the artwork..........it just goes against anything tasteful in my mind. Other than picking out some minor details (like the carbs, firewall, steering wheel, etc.) with some brush detailing, the only thing else I did was to swap out the front wheels and taller kit white wall tires for the front mag wheels/tires from the Monogram Little Coffin.......a sister kit. The decals in my original kit were no longer useable; so I had Greg Holland (previously mentioned here) make new ones based on my originals (if I recall correctly.....it has been around 7 years)...............and they went on flawlessly! Ed
  11. The chopped '34 Ford 5 window coupe body is now available again if anyone is interested. It fits the AMT 1934 Ford 5 window coupe kit. My body retails for $20.00 plus shipping. Feel free to drop me a line via e-mail if you are interested in ordering one; or if you have any other questions. 12. If anyone would like to snag another one of these interiors while I still have some left; or has not been able to spare the funds I would be willing to do some horse trading for any of the kits listed below. I know that a few of the kits are worth more than the 'average' kit; so I would be willing to work something out in that event. I thought this way I might be able to help some of you out; and we can both make out. AMT ’69 Chevelle SS (early issues 2212, 6567, 6202, or older) AMT ’62 Impala convertible AMT ’69 Hurst Olds AMT ’70 Corvette (kit #6218) AMT ’70 Super bee (stock version…….#6117 or latest box art issue) AMT ’68 Road Runner (kit #6515) AMT ’70 Chevelle (kit #8940 or older) AMT ’72 Chevelle (older the better) AMT ’67 Mustang fastback (stock issue) AMT ’68 Shelby GT500 Mustang (#6541) AMT ’65 Mustang fastback AMT ’66 Nova AMT ’62 Impala Bel Air (#8716) AMT ’67 Fairlane (not the new tooled ’66 427 or GTA) Revell ’68 Hurst Hemi Dart Revell ’67 GTX Revell ’69 Baldwin Motion Corvette Revell ’70 ½ Baldwin Motion Camaro Revell ’62 Corvette (stock issue) Revell ’69 Z28 Camaro Pro Modeler ’59 Corvette MPC ’67 GTO (older issue molded in blue #6318 or #1-0730) MPC ’70 GTO MPC ’69 Charger 500 (#6284) Johan ’70 Olds Cutlass Johan ’69 Road Runner
  13. Thanks Mike! One thing I just noticed the other day is that there is a slight fitment issue with the mounting tabs on the front seat for the '57 Chevy interior. My molds are getting older; and the plug for the front seat in both molds must be flexing just enough to allow the width between the mounting tabs to become a hair shorter. I think I may have found a remedy for that. Basically, the front seat won't drop right into the mounting holes in the kit supplied floor pan now. So, you will either need to open up the slots in the floor pan a hair on each side; sand the mounting tabs down (on the inside surface), or remove them from the bottom of the seat all together. Other than that, I cannot see any other issues with the front seat. I just thought I would let you guys know what I discovered so you didn't think I goofed up some how! LOL!
  14. I cast these rear 15" Americans; which I thought looked the same as the ones you are after; but they might not be exact.....hard to tell from the tiny photo you posted. These are the rears in the AMT '63 Corvette kit; and have the 'bead' around the edge of the rim. They do not come plated; and I removed the axle post in order to make an open pour mold of them rather than a 2-part mold to keep the cost down. Shoot me a PM if you are interested in them. The ones pictured below were the originals before I used them to make the mold. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  15. I appreciate the support guys! If anyone gets to building something with these interiors done up I would love to see some photos!
  16. The one thing I like about pinning the door handles and window cranks is that it makes it easier to paint them. I can brush a coat of Testors gloss black on them and let them sit overnight before brushing two coats of Alclad on them. Any more than that and they lose the chrome look.
  17. I just thought I would show you guys (who have purchased interiors from me) how I attach the door handles and window cranks to the door panels. The photos here show a personal build ('40 Ford coupe) that I have slowly been working on for years; but the method would be the same. I also thinned out the door handles and window cranks to make them look more accurate; and stand off of the door panels. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  18. My old web site is no longer up; but you can e-mail me for a link to a temporary site I have up; and my Fotki albums. lowcab36@epix.net
  19. Thanks for the kind words guys! At this point I have around 5 or 6 of each interior left in stock; and I do not think that the molds will hold out for too much longer. They are decent right now; but I wanted to give anyone who might still be on the fence a heads up in case they wait too long. I will probably cast a few more up and see where things stand. I made the molds back in 2014 so I can't complain.
  20. I am sorry to say that the '50 Olds interior has been off-line for over a year now....maybe two; and I just sold the last two I had from my personal 'stash'! LOL!
  21. Due to the lack of interest in the custom tuck'n roll interiors I have been offering I have decided not to waste my time mastering any more unless it is for a specific project. I will not be remolding either of these after the molds are used up. I am willing to drop the price down to $20.00 (each)... (plus shipping) on BOTH interiors if you get your order in soon. Both interiors come with door handles, window cranks, and arm rests. Thanks! 22. Come on Mike..........if Shep felt he had nothing to prove he would not have piped up here to begin with. If he is indeed selling a Fairmont body that was mastered by someone else neither Scott nor I would really care..........it's a free market in that respect. I mastered a stock roof '33 Willys coupe years ago; and there were one or two mastered by other resin casters prior to me coming out with mine; and one after mine. This just gives modelers more choice on accuracy and cost. What hurts business for each of us is when our work is copied. You obviously do not know Scott or I as well as I thought you did.........we would be nothing but impartial here. For someone who has nothing to worry about Shep sure has ducked and weaved here instead of addressing it head on and proving he did nothing shady. Even if the body he is offering turned out to be a direct copy that 'his resin caster' stole without his knowledge you'd think he would want to cut ties with a person like that after finding this out...........but, hey, that's just me! LOL!
  23. How is this for food for thought..............want to clear this whole mess up? Why didn't Shep offer to post up a handful of CLEAR photos of the body he is making available? Since Scott and I are the most familiar with the body he mastered (and I cast) I am sure one of us would quickly point out if it was indeed different......and neither one of us would have anything to prove by saying it was a direct copy if it wasn't. Scott's work stands on it's own.......as does mine I suppose. I surely would not lay claim to work that did not come from my own hands. I don't know Shep; but anyone thinking they were the accused would surely want to clear his name........especially on a forum such as this; which gets enough 'flow' to possibly hurt his business and credibility.............and prove their innocence.
  24. A lot of resin casters will either repop a vintage kit/body/ or part that is out of production (such as a lot of Modehaus' lineup of restoration parts); or they will mold/cast something they modified to make a specific year or body style available........like turning the '63 Galaxie 500XL hardtop into a '63 Galaxie 4 door sedan for example. There are others who completely scratch build something from raw materials...........like Evergreen sheet stock and body filler to make something that was never before available in kit form.......like Scott did here! There was nothing even close to using as a starting point so Scott spent many hours (years I believe) scratch building this Fairmont kit to make it available to the public and to recoup some of his hard earned money and time back so that he might possibly be able to offer something else after this.
  25. You really can't get any closer than the AMT '36 Ford 5 window coupe. I've got a few photos of the 1:1; and without stopping to really look at each photo I just thought it was a chopped '35 or '36 Ford coupe body! LOL!
