  1. That wagon was made by PMC. SMP made one too, but it had separate front and rear bumpers. Long ago, I saw a demonstration on straightening out an old AMT Studebaker promo. The first step was making a mold of the warped body, making a casting of that, and then straightening out the resin copy of the warped body. Then a second mold was made of the straightened resin copy. Of course that means using twice as much rubber, but it's worth considering.
  2. Looks like you have a Monogram Little T body.
  3. Looks like it's the old Revell "Parts Pack" Triumph. They sold a version of it that wasn't chrome plated, so it's probably one of those.
  4. Pretty sure the Speedwagon was released just after the 3 Window. The original roadster was the third release.
  5. Not 100% sure, but I think the Revell 1/32 '57 Ford came out in 1969 or so.
  6. Is there something causing interference with the underside of the cover? If it fit fine before, that might be the problem now. Maybe start by looking at parts that were added since you did the test fitting to make sure they aren't hitting the cover and not allowing it to sit down all the way. Trying to snug up the fits is a good idea, but that's probably going to be tough to get to work well. Could you maybe fit some small magnets to help keep it in place?
  7. Looks like you have it sitting nice. What wheels did you put on it?
  8. Lots of my favorites on that list, especially the Ferrari 641/2.
  9. I have an old X-Acto pin vise. Other than knives it was the first modeling tool I bought, and it must be close to 35 years old.
  10. Body looks like it's a Revell '62 Dodge Lancer. Pretty sure the gauge panel is from the AMT Trophy Series '57 Chevy and the roll cage is from the AMT '63 Impala. The "dash" might be the sanding stick piece from the AMT '57 Chevy.
  11. Wouldn't mind seeing this as the "Great Street Machines" issue from the Seventies. Other than the wheels, I'm not sure how different that one is compared to the more-recent issues.
  12. Very cool builds. Can please you post a link to the other thread with the old built ups?
  13. I've never seen the "RN Automotive" decals on an old sheet either, and have been wondering if the original AMT ever made a sheet that included them. The best example of this kit I have has a "200" price extension and the decal sheet shown below was in it when I got it. It might be original, but I'm not sure and it's not in as nice shape as the rest of the kit....other than missing the record the kit hasn't been messed with. Date code on the back looks like September 1969...and this same sheet is in my "Super Street" '64 Impala kit. This box was also made with a "225" price extension, so it must have been in the line for a least a few years. One of these is on my to build list using an original kit and the new decals. The new sheet is very nice, but really I wish that it included the Burbank, California lettering too! Also have a built '40 coupe in the second "non-record" "Spee Demon" box which probably came out in '71 or '72. No decals on the car or in that box either. I do have an old sheet with "Spee Demon" lettering but it has a date from '69 on the back, so those decals must have been included in something else too.
  14. This is the oldest picture I have with me and a model. It's from 1977 or '78...not sure where my mom found the NOS AMT '70 Monte Carlo. I still have it, but it's pretty rough. The picture is recent, but this AMT 1/43-scale '69 AMX is the oldest model that I built and still have. I remember getting to pick it out at Wilson's Variety, probably in 1975 or '76.
  15. I have a few of the '40 Ford kits that came with the record....but they are all missing the record and the decals. My Shelby Mustang is missing the record too. I do have this AMT record, but not the kit it came in. I assume AMT's records are all like this, it's made of coated cardboard not pressed vinyl.
  16. Yes, and the '69 and '70 Rebel annuals also came with the funny car frame.
  17. Also the 1950 and 1955/'57 Chevy pickups. The '71 Chargers, '68 Road Runner, '69 GTX convertible and hardtop, and '58 Edsel too. Other versions of kits on your list include the '67 Mustang and '67 Mercury Cyclone.
  18. Didn't they announce they were going to reissue this one a few years ago?
  19. Thanks, you're right the wheels are in my Universal Dune Buggy. In my kit those wheels are meant to wear the same hollow Goodyears used on the VW shown above. With that in mind, did he put the VW body on the MPC Jeep chassis? That front axle looks like it might be MPC Jeep, and the engine looks like it might be that kit's ex-Buick V-6 too. I haven't seen the "swamp" tires you're describing. Didn't MPC have a Jeep kit with Swamp in it's name in the late '60s? Maybe they were in that kit?
  20. Looks like the VW has MPC tires, but what are the wheels from?
  21. Thanks for sharing. They are all cool, but that Corvette is my favorite..
  22. Mark, Which issue had the Flag mags?
