  1. I recently organized my Hot Rods, so here goes...Thom Taylor, Chris Hickman, Fast Eddie Fehra, Kris Horton, Jeff Angeleri, Murray Pfaff, and Jason Hulst.
  2. Man, great stuff! That's probably the nicest build I've ever seen of a Jo-Han Javelin.
  3. I have a built example of the Palmer Mercury (not my pic) and it's really bad even by Palmer standards. Palmer's '75 (??) Monza 2+2 is pretty darn craptastic too.
  4. Not as pictured. The Monogram Ramcharger was released with the 4-headlight grille.
  5. Thanks for the links guys. I've actually ordered the set that Draggon linked to, along with set #5. I guess they are just selling them as "parts" but man it would sure be nice to know what kits they were in originally. Even searched Fujimi's Japanese language site and translated the descriptions which were not very descriptive.
  6. Does anybody know if there is a list (in English if possible) that tells which kits these parts trees originally came with?
  7. Man, I'm going to need one of those!
  8. Looks great!
  9. I've bought a couple Aoshima wheel and tire sets off of amazon.com. Some are eligible for free Prime shipping too. Not that many to choose from, but you might find something you want.
  10. Thank you. I think your kit might be an old Lindberg Deuce, but I'm not completely sure. Thanks!
  11. I really like the old Deuce kits too. Here are a few I built. AMT original-issue roadster AMT original-issue roadster Yes, that's the bottle from the paint I used when I built this car maybe 7 or 8 years ago! AMT original-issue roadster. I only finished this one, somebody else started it when the kit was new. AMT original-issue 5-window coupe Monogram Drag Strip Hot Rod (SSP reissue)
  12. What's the kit at the bottom of this picture?
  13. I have a started kit that's molded in white but has the green-tinted glass. No sleeper in my box.
  14. Awesome! Looks great.
  15. At least one of Fujimi's original three '66 LeMans kits (not sure, but I think it was the light blue car #1 that finished second) has a "smooth" roof that doesn't have the Gurney "bubble" on the driver's side door....not sure if that variant of the body has been used in any of the other versions. I have one of the 1967 Daytona kits, a red car #3. It is Fujimi kit #12147. It has quite a few body color and clear parts that weren't in the original releases or the Revell versions. These do include add-on flares for the rear fenders. My kit has a red body and black chassis parts. Interestingly, the box says it is chassis 1047, same as the red #3 '66 LeMans kit in your photo above.
  16. AMT's GT40 is a reboxed IMC Mark II kit. AMT also made a 1/43-scale Mark II.
  17. Great find! Haven't seen one of those kits in a long time.
  18. There are a few kits on a closet shelf in a recent episode of The Americans, a series on FX. They're shown very clearly and fit into the story line. The show is set in the early 1980s, but at least two of the Revell kits are later...a F-8 Crusader that might be from the late 1980s and an Olds Cutlass funny car. There's a couple other kits on the shelf too, but can't remember which ones they are.
  19. Yes, it was issued twice. The one with the "50 Years of Revell" band was actually released by Revell-Germany. They did several SSP-style kits in "original" box art as part of their 50th Anniversary, including the '59 Skyliner. It happened before the US SSP issue at the bottom of your post. Pretty sure the Skip's kit made a earlier SSP appearance too.
  20. Had a great trade with ApexSpeed (Doug Carter). Thanks again!
  21. Great find! How many colors did that kit come molded in? I have two incomplete ones; one is light blue and the other is red.
  22. Great looking build, and a fun read too!
