  1. Buck, I used the Brillo pad rust on the fire pit in my 1/12 scale campground diorama. I randomly sprinkled the powdered rust over red oxide primer while it was wet, then sprayed matte clear over it. It came out good. Sam
  2. Way cool! But I have to vote for the fenderless version too. Very creative either way, though! Sam
  3. Very nice body work, Greg! Looks clean. I'm not a fan of the giant wheel trend these days. I would use something a little smaller. The chop and section have essentially "shrunk" the body, and I think smaller wheels would look more proportional. The Moons and whites might be good. Just my thoughts - no offense, I hope! Have you picked a color scheme? Sam
  4. Amazing paint work! Beautiful!
  5. A beauty! Nice color combo, kind of understated and elegant. Working lights? Wow! Nice work! Sam
  6. Lookin' good! I like the green with a tan top combination. The whitewalls are just right, too! Sam
  7. Ditto what Peter said! Beautiful models. Great color choices on all of them! Sam
  8. Cool! I like models of unusual subjects. Very well done!
  9. The 69 is my favorite Camaro, and your model is the best looking one I've seen in a long time! The color is perfect. Very clean build - good job, Nathan! Sam
  10. Nice models, all of them! The rescue truck is spectacular! I like the Mustangs and the red Nova too. Great work! Sam
  11. Chuck, I love this model! The license plate is perfect! Great build, and great humor! Sam
  12. Beautiful model, Lyle! The skirts and taillights really look good. Engine detail is very well done, too. Nice job!
  13. Wow! What a beast! There's no way I could ride a monster like that, but your model is great! Really well done! Sam
  14. Nice models of some unusual subjects! The Kaiser and the Corvair are my favorites in this group. They're all nicely done! My first car was a Corvair - a 1965 convertible. Sam
  15. Looks good! It looks like the little Fiat has really been neglected! Great detail! Sam
  16. Very good work! I like all the details - stuff on the workbenches, wall signs, and even stains on the floor! Looks very real!
  17. Great diorama! Great weathering, and the night photos are really nice! Great work!
  18. Wow! That really grabs your eyes! Excellent work! You must have spent a lot of time on it. I salute your patience and skills! Sam
  19. Those are all beautiful builds, Tim! I've never really been a truck modeler, but the excellent builds like yours and others on this forum are showing me the appeal of this segment of the modeling hobby. There is a lot of opportunity for detailing, and you'll probably never run out of different corporate paint jobs and markings to use on them! Nice work! BTW, I do have one rig from AMT about 40 years ago called the California Hauler Truck. It's a Peterbilt cab with a sleeper and a box trailer. Maybe it's time for a rebuilding project! Sam
  20. That is gonna be a great model, Chuck! Can you find a 1/25 scale pig to make golden brown and put in the roaster? Cool idea for a model! A guy here has a roaster on a trailer with the words "Makin' Bacon" on it! Sam
  21. Those are all great looking models! The Merc is just perfect! Very nice work!
  22. Nice Camino! I like the color, and the bed cover is a nice touch. Is the cloth glued onto a piece of styrene? It looks good! Sam
  23. Looks good, Nick! How about adding a driver bust like the slot car guys use? Maybe stick a block of wood under it so it can sit on the seat. If you shoot the photos from the driver's side, you won't see the support block. Just a thought. Sam
  24. Very nice! That color looks good on the Mustang! Nice job on a real classic car! Sam
  25. Wow! That's a beauty! Color really stands out. Was the Twister a factory option package? I don't remember it. Looks great!
