  1. Classy car in a classy color! Beautifully done! Sam
  2. Lookin' good, Matt! I like how you made the metal turbo & carb hat. Too bad about the paint not sticking. Killer wheels, too! The model and the 1:1 will be nice! Sam
  3. Gregg, I applaud your desire to end the grade school playground fights that have occurred here, but i think you're skating on thin ice regarding the principle of freedom of speech. People DO have some rights, and some amount of leeway must be given to them, even if we find them to be somewhat offensive sometimes. It's a fine line to walk. I don't envy your job here! Thanks, Sam
  4. Very nice model! I always liked the Falcons. I have to agree with Bill on the wheels, though. I'm just not into the big wheel trend either. It's still a great looking car! Sam
  5. That's crazy and cool! It has a bit of 1960's Indy racer flavor mixed in with the hot rod and 'Vette elements. Nice job! Sam
  6. Another beauty from Kern's Kars! Very well done. I like your understated style, never overdone! Great model! Sam
  7. Very nice job on a true classic! It looks good in silver. Sam
  8. That's a crappy looking model, Cheese!.......That was a compliment - it's a rusty junker, so it's supposed to look like that! The weathering/rusting is looking good! Sam
  9. Great model, Tom! It's nice to see a bubbletop that's not a Chevy for a change! That's a rare car in real or model form. Yours is a beauty! Sam
  10. Nice build of a rare car, whether real or model! The father of a guy who works where I do has a real K-D roadster in a light mint green color with a matching top and interior. It's a beauty! Here's a photo of it at a local show in 2008.
  11. Amazing work! The detail are incredible. Good photos too. I can't imagine the time you must have spent on this project. Really nice! Sam
  12. I got the body painted, but still have a lot of work to do on it. More updates will come as I go.
  13. Great model, Dale! The interior detail is amazing! Those seat belts must have been a lot of work! Very nice! Sam
  14. Definitely cool! Is the top scratch built? It looks good! Sam
  15. Very nice clean build, Erik! Those 57's look good in any form. Sam
  16. Wow! That is one sweet '40 Ford! The chop really makes the model! That engine is really a tight fit! Well done, Raul! Sam
  17. That looks so realistic! The bent bumper and broken grille are nice touches. I think one of the local punks would have tossed those bricks through the windshield, though! Nice work! Sam
  18. That's something really different and it looks great, Carl! Excellent detail work. I can hear that diesel running now! Where are my earplugs?! Sam
  19. Now that's a model you don't see every day! Nice job!
  20. Great first model! I like the photos, too. Looks like it's sitting under a streetlight waiting for some late night stoplight drag racing! Sam
  21. That's an incredible car, Peter! your scratch building skills are amazing! That grille really grabs your attention in the photo. Kinda looks like a bizarre catcher's mask! Great design and building work! Sam
  22. Looks like another beauty, Randy! Nice paint and great detailing on the interior and engine! Sam
  23. Thanks for the input, guys. I was thinking the portholes and teardrop hood were kind of like two different worlds, but I like them anyway. Personal taste, I guess. Here's a photo of the car that inspired this build. It has a hood scoop and the side windows are filled in. I just expanded these ideas with a bigger hood bulge and adding the portholes. I'm sticking with it since I just painted it this afternoon. No going back now! Pete, I shouldn't have called it a Bullitt Mustang. I'm just using the Bullitt kit as a base for a custom. I bought it for the wheels when I built a replica of my son's real 2008 Mustang.
  24. Hey, guys, I just started this 2008 Bullitt Mustang. It will be a mild custom. I cut the teardrop off a hood from my old parts box (1966 Ford Galaxie, I think), and stuck it on the Mustang. I filled in the rear side windows and put in "porthole" windows from a Carson top from a 50 Ford kit, a la 55-57 T-birds. It will have a chrome bar type grille, and maybe some different taillights. Paint will be Dupli-color orange mist on the sides and gloss black on the hood and top. everything else is pretty much stock. Here's a crummy mockup photo (bad lighting). Suggestions/ideas are welcome! Thanks, Sam
  25. That must have been a ton of work, but the results are incredible! Excellent model!
