  1. The 4 door requires a bit more skill from the builder Seems a member here put together a nice '72 4 door Satellite a while back
  2. Occasionally you can still get deals, usually need to combine shipping Wound up getting three open but sealed inside kits for $11.18 shipped- stumbled across separate 3 day listings with 99 cent opening bids with a seller who combined shipping. Got a Lindberg '67 Olds 442 and an older issue Revell Ford Thunderbolt for .99 apiece, had to pay $2.25 for a "Color Me Gone" Dodge
  3. Beautiful Charger
  4. The original MPC hidden headlight inserts are too narrow for the AMT bumper- resin parts have been offered through several vendors The MPC General Lee includes the grille inserts from the '72 annual
  5. A quick dab of paint can also be a viable alternative to purchasing decals
  6. Not sure if the suggested donor kit has the best fitting glass- seems a Johan Cutlass would be more accurate- seems this master may have been based on the either the Olds snap kit or the NASCAR Laguna/Malibu One of these kits may actually be easier to rework into a convincing Pontiac than the resin offering
  7. That's a cute little Cat We've got a couple 3516's on the boat for generators
  8. And all these kits from only a half dozen actual separate tools
  9. Does look a bit "off" Almost as if it was mastered entirely from photos and misses the "feel" of the 1:1
  10. Charger SE has a "canopy" vinyl top (without seams), hidden headlights, non-louvered taillights To be completely correct there also are additional moldings (belt, trunklid, between fender front and bumper, etc.) The door panels and upholstery are also different from those in the kit as well as the other obvious details (hood, door vents, etc.) The Charger SE was, however, the only model other than the R/T in which the 440 4 barrel was offered in 1971
  11. I think the AMT Courier is '78-ish- I've got a couple of the "Monroe Magnum" version The second gen Camaros were done as annuals so every year is available The '78 has a different dash as well as the grille, stripes, and front spoiler mentioned. The '78 relaease, as a bonus, was also done in white plastic Would like to see a kit of my first car- '65 Fury III 4 door hardtop
  12. Actually a bit later, I'd guess around '01 Newer than the '71 Duster but older than the Chrysler 300 kits Great parts kit- I've got a couple dozen just for the chassis Wish it had a bucket seat version and that they all came with the exhaust tips found in the "street machine" issue
  13. I've always thought the metal body Corvette kits were a bit ironic
  14. You can list anything..... Seem to see a lot of the outrageously priced stuff- particularly the model parts that drew attention still aren't actually selling
  15. The Monogram is the earlier '79-'80 body style Not much on the '81-'93 Dodge trucks
  16. Some Dusters, '71, '72, '73, and '75 A sweet 69 Coronet, some cheap unbuilt 80's Vettes, Petty Road Runner body, and an unbuilt old style box Little Red Express Truck to go with my Warlock Not all Mopars though- got a built '72 Camaro as well as unbuilt '78, '79, and '81 kits and a '75 Buick Skyhawk to go with the "custom" built up one I have with all the louvers and scoops glued in place
  17. Been away working again buying more stuff online, mostly MPC built up projects Here's an orphan from the 70s that looked like it needed a loving home: I have a tough time passing up MPC '71 GTXs, bought a couple more (did pass on a sealed kit though). Also got another unpainted '72 Road Runner even though I was going to be done
  18. Not real big- 630 feet- it was built as a "River Class" boat- to the maximum practical size that can wind up the Cuyahoga in Cleveland up to the steel mills Usually travelling a leisurely 14 mph or so on twin ALCO V-16 locomotive engines
  19. Well it's not really mine and I run the engine room rather than drive, but I'm here every day
  20. Pro-Touring 1979 style.....
  21. Or- if you choose to go with optional body colored bumpers the louvered taillights would be correct The Super Bee needs to have the R/T only door "vents" filled and uses a different hood Engine for the Bee should be a 340, 383, 440 Six Pack, or Hemi rather than the R/T's base 440 4 barrel Hidden headlights weren't available with body colored bumpers as the factory front was coated with a plastic and had less clearance for the doors The Street Machine version engine builds into a nice street Hemi if you add some parts ie exhaust manifolds, non AC belts and pulleys from another source. The engine in that kit is not based on the 1:1 wedge block conversions- AMT just took a bunch of shortcuts producing the kit
  22. Is it 1/24 or 1/25 scale? Monogram made a white 64 1/2 convertible offered in a couple releases including an Indy Pace Car- believe it's based on their very good 65 fastback which in turn started as the 66 GT-350H
  23. The Mopar engine paint really seems to be the only 1:1 product matching the original Turquoise- the original color seemed to have a bit more green to it Aftermarket does a decent job on the later light blue (as used on the 72-up big blocks)
