  1. Were they on the regular shelves or in those "seasonal" displays in the cardboard stand in the main aisle?
  2. Pontiac did help support the American plastic industry throughout the 80's by tacking cladding and ground effects on the standard GM product line
  3. Now that it's gone we can forget about such gems of engineering as the "Arma-steel" rod, the 301 in both smog and turbo versions, the 265 V8, N body Grand Am, etc. Remember the original GTO in it's glory as a cool looking machine or as the versions that were supplied to the press pool rather then as a package developed by the marketing department rather than engineering
  4. With everyone complaining about the lack of commercially available correct Dodge wheel covers and the unusually high number of wheel covers lost by the Charger during the chase scene maybe at least some could be bare steel wheels?
  5. This kit is based on the Revell '63? I purchased that one thinking it was based on their excellent '64 and was disappointed to find it was cruder and had some oddities being based on a die cast
  6. Build it functional- so that the lights flip up
  7. Remember- the plural of antecdote is not "data"-
  8. Interesting in scale- wouldn't think nitrous would work too well with the restricted breathing of a 1930's flathead
  9. The big difference, in response to the original post, is that Nick seems to be moving along, maturing a bit in both modeling skills and social behavior where we see no indication of this from "Jimmy"
  10. Great site for factory info on Mopars: http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/dealerships/1969PlymouthDealershipDataBook-02.shtml http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/dealerships/1969PlymouthColorAndTrim-03.shtml
  11. Curious about the bench seat though- buckets should be standard for a Sport Satelite (with a center armrest/"buddy seat" or console optional)- The GTX and Sport Satellite shared the higher line interior trim (and lots of woodgrain vinyl) as opposed to the plain Belvedere/Satellite/Road Runner stuff
  12. Sweet! I've been putting off attempting this conversion for years now- no excuse now Is the body available separately for those with extra MPC Chargers or the interior available separately for those with extra Charger bodies?
  13. The AMT '71 Duster 340 (stock version) has a small block with A/C- the AMT '71 Charger has a 440 with A/C
  14. Definitely the '72 if you can only do one- the '71's seem quite a bit more common and aren't quite as unique do the very common later AMT '71 R/T If you have to get rid of one you could always send it this way......
  15. All I've noticed from the earlier poster is he can't seem to build a coherent post (much to the annoyance of many here)- certainly makes you suspect the mad skillz
  16. I've had good results with Testors dull cote over redline tire decals- light mist coats rather than trying to put on a heavy coat
  17. I've used the Fusion paints over automotive primer- doesn't usually dry glossy but is tough enough to polish to a high shine, almost like lacquer Don't understand the advantage of not priming
  18. Crush all tyranny!
  19. Whether or not it was intended or you could see how the comment was taken wouldn't taking a step back and offering an apology to those who did take it differently be that tough to do?
  20. Got a few kits- no I don't only get old built up MPC Mopars..... Of course I still love the MPC stuff.....
  21. Space Cowboy's scale build: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=28308&st=0&p=271288&hl=satellite&fromsearch=1&#entry271288
  22. Looks like a lot of work and a good effort but a lot of the proportions seem a bit "off" Would like to see an accurate C body- the mid size conversions just don't seem to work
  23. I remember that even through the 70s the JC Whitney catalog had a whole page devoted to nothing but hood ornaments
  24. I'll put an opening or low bid in early just to make it easier to remember if my watch list is big...
  25. Hmmm- from the reply you're obviously clueless about theology and really don't seem interested in learning more about what you see as an opposing point of view it would seem like a good time to just drop it as nothing good is going to follow
