Thanks James. I started this as a simple repaint to match our old 1:1 truck. Like most projects it's easy to get carried away, like the interior. I have also decided to add tail lights. Tom

This is a pressed steel Nylint Econoline, about 1/16 scale. We had a new Econoline at our family wrecking yard back when I was a youngster. I'm going mostly off of memory on this build. Thanks for looking, AzTom

I think the last time the IPMS was here is was Aug. They do air condition the building so it's fine. As long as you don't break any laws here you'll be okay, if you do plan on speeding you will need your drivers license. Sales at shows are always better at the spring events. AzTom

I see this one does not have the oversize parking lights the truck in the original post had. Do you know if the back of the cab was fixed? It's nice to see the chassis was detailed some. Other than those issues, Ertl did a good job on this tooling. Tom

You could reduce a category by combining the 1:1 reference photos. Maybe in the Hobby Room. I posted in the Cars over a month ago and it's still less than half way down the page. Many of the posts as mine does, have both trucks and cars. Tom

That looks nice to me, but I'll go with whatever. I like the fewer categories. Additional ones would only be needed if a section gets so much action that threads only last a few days before they roll off the page. I only mentioned the Modified diecast because a lot of Plastic guys don't agree that they are models. You say "General" as it is now, but now it's actually in the "Cars". Tom

Okay, I'm not a paint expert. I remember some of this from getting paint for some mopar builds. Speaking only about body colors, if the Hemi Orange and Tor Red used in the early 70's are different, how can they have the same paint code? I have a Tor Red model but not a Hemi Orange one so I can't compare. This is why I'm a Ford guy. Tom

I did NOT say Tor-Red and Street Hemi Orange were the same. I said that Hemi Orange and Tor red, as body colors were the same. Hemi engine orange is not the same as Hemi orange body color. That's why I posted the first question to hellonwheels, Was he looking for the Hemi Orange body color or the engine color? Tom

Actually Dodge Hemi Orange and Plymouth Tor Red are the same paint codes, V2. The Orange you may be thinking of is Orange Code 999, looks like the Duke's car. Tom

Are you looking for the Hemi Orange engine paint or the Hemi orange body color used in 70/71? I think is was Tor-Red? for Plymouth. The engine paint is more orange looking. I used Testors Boyds Sunburst, not sure how accurate but it looked great. AzTom

David, Good choice. It appears that AMT did some research in doing the Masterpiece series. As for the floor pan, AMT did it in red oxide primer with only the front wheel wells black and no overspray. On the 58 Edsel they did do the overspray. AzTom

Ok, The Masterpiece Series that Ertl made of this kit has a black engine with gold aircleaner and valve covers. I have photos of that model. Tom Maybe the different Hp engines had different colors

Simon, Mickey, Alex, and Wilmer it was truly a pleasure meeting you guys. My grandson was so pleased with the kind words and encouragement you gave him on his models. The level of models you guys brought to the table was incredible. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to see them. It was also great to meet all the local guys that frequent here on the forums and see the ones I have not seen since last year.
