  1. Thanks Jeff, Made Headers and windows. [url=http://www.fotki.com]
  2. Starting bid and Reserve are two different types of listings. Starting bid is what it will sell for if someone bids on it, or more if others bid also. Reserve is an amount set by the seller that you do not see until the reserve is met. As far as ebay in general I'm happy with it. Still WAY cheaper than selling at local auction house with not bidders. I have had Paypal since the beginning and have NOT had an issue with them. The 21 day holding is when they suspect wrong doing, had someone file a complaint or a charge-back. This may also happen if you have your ebay fees paid directly from your paypal account. They do NOT hold everyone's money. I would like to know how JimnOhio can ship kits for $5.50 -$6.00 anywhere in the US using UPS. I have a UPS daily account, for over 15yrs now and a 1 lb package from AZ to Cleveland OH is $11.13 published rate (what ebay uses) and cost me $8.36. If it were sent to a rural area it's over $10.00 my cost. Priority Mail is $8.60 plus $1.75 insurance. If you want the best deal with shipping, Click on the "Price + Shipping lowest first" in the sort order. AzTom
  3. I know some of you on here do customizing on 1/18 cars so I thought I would share my Tire and Wheel Guide. Click on the photo and in the description you will see what the wheel is off of and it's dimensions. AzTom Wheel Guide
  4. Looking good! That gas tank is awesome. AzTom
  5. This is the 1/10 scale Parma Hemi engine, originally the MPC Garlits engine. I built this about six years ago for a store display and was the first model I painted with an air brush. I may have to find a 1/10 car to put this in AzTom
  6. This will be interesting, a Rat Rod parts chaser? AzTom
  7. Very Nice! I like that wild color. AzTom
  8. Awesome! I know what you're saying but it sounds funny to hear 000-120 nuts are too big I have trouble keeping 00-90 on the bench AzTom
  9. Chassis and body painted. [url=http://www.fotki.com]
  10. Welcome, Nice start. That blue looks close to the 55 Corvette color, basically the same car. Get some Self Etching primer at least for the first coat on the diecast. That will help eliminate those little nicks on the edges. AzTom
  11. The Popcorn wagon had a twin blowers so I had to cut out the center pulley of the belt. Wired the Magneto and made floor pans and door panels. Also made panels to cover the backs of the seats. AzTom [url=http://www.fotki.com]
  12. Wow! Hard to believe that started as a vacuum formed body. Looking awesome. AzTom
  13. Made steering rods out of wire to replace the large flat bar type rods that come with the kit. I also made a dummy steering box, the arm moves with the wheels but does not turn with the steering wheel. I shaved the back of the rims and mounted then with a rivet so I didn't have a screw through the wheel as Hubley did. [url=http://www.fotki.com]
  14. Shaping up nice Chuck. You come up with the wildest darn things, lol AzTom
  15. Filled in the rear slash panel and cut the spare tire mount off. Added a visor above the windshield, I just think Model A Fords should have those. [url=http://www.fotki.com]
  16. I have always like these Fairlanes. This one looks like it's going to be a great one. AzTom
  17. Thanks for looking, Harry, 1/20 scale parts are quite limited so using 1/18 wheels and tires off of compact 60's cars works pretty good. Here's the last Model A I did, it even has a 1/18 engine. Some 1/18 cars run small in scale as well so you just have to find what looks good and go with it. [url=http://www.fotki.com] AzTom
  18. This is my first WIP here so don't be too harsh, lol I picked this up years ago in my Flea Pickin days. It's a 1/20 scale die-cast Hubley kit built and customized with some 1/25 scale wheels and tires. Doing some test fitting of a 1/18 32 Ford rear axle and a 1/20 428 Ford engine from the AMT Popcorn wagon. I'm leaving the fenders off and setting the frame up inside the body. More testing. Paint removed and templates made for the floor pan. [url=http://www.fotki.com]
  19. I'm guilty of this as well. This was parked behind my truck one morning at a motel in Kansas. This was on one of the side streets in town. [url=http://www.fotki.com]
  20. The only Spray can of Alcad I've seen is for clear Lexan RC bodies. You spray the chromre on the inside and then spray the black base over the chrome. It will not give good results spraying over a black base like the regular alclad chrome does. AzTom
  21. It does have the one piece chassis, basically a promo model. It has heavy steel axles so it should hold up well. If he's 12 I'd give it to him as a kit and let him build it. Kids seem to take better care of stuff they built. AzTom
  22. Is this the wheel you need? AzTom
  23. I had one for awhile, got tired of cleaning up after him [url=http://www.fotki.com]
  24. My three year old Grandson doesn't care what they sell for, that's all he wants to watch. [url=http://www.fotki.com]
  25. Not sure what years you are asking about, he started back in the mid 50's. Ertl made a 1/25? scale plastic Chevy Chevette and metal semi cannon truck set many years ago. I have one boxed away somewhere. Not sure about a model kit. AzTom
