  1. I do not remember my first one but I do remember building in the late 50's. Not having spray paint my brothers and I would sand the mold lines and any trim off of them then polish the bodies with rubbing compound until shiny. I do still have several I built in the 60's while in High School. Tow Vehicle Hosted on Fotki AzTom
  2. I should have a set from a 1/18 Corvette by Ertl. Those are the only ones I can think of. Give me a few days, AzTom
  3. Thanks for the link. I have been cutting the jewelry clasps to get the tiny round magnets. After making realistic hinges on my Willys I needed them to hold the doors shut. AzTom
  4. Great colors, looking forward to seeing the clear on it. AzTom
  5. Nice, That's they they were done back then. Most of the parts came from junk yards. AzTom
  6. That is an awesome build. Dave builds some of the best models I have ever seen. I'm going to have to put this resin kit on my to do list. I do have a question, Is the red battery cable correct, being positive ground? AzTom
  7. I'll have to try that on some die-cast, sounds cool. Question, It there a preferrence between Purple Power and SuperClean? For record SuperClean hasn't been a Castrol product for a few years. I have used the SuperClean for for years. AzTom
  8. Thanks for sharing, I like that A/G 32. AzTom
  9. It's amazing how many times this topic comes up. I agree with Art on this one, except for the Explosion Proof motor part as they are designed to operate within the hazardous location. You DO need to have a fan with the motor outside the exhaust fumes. You also may want to use a better lighting system, a broken lamp can cause a serious spark. Here's the type of fan you want, at 180 CFM. They also sell an adapter for 4" round duct. $82.00 Fan Motor Sale Here is what my Badger model looks like for mounting ideas. AzTom

I like that color combo. I almost bought the coke version but couldn't tell from the box if you build it stock. I since found out you can and may have to pick one up after seeing this one. AzTom
  11. Hey, I have to do that also and it doesn't always work for me, you're doing fine. Looks great, AzTom
  12. Cool! Thanks for sharing. I like the "Rod through the the Eye" technique to make a strong link. AzTom
  13. I don't go out much but here's mine. F-350 4x4 Dually
  14. I have Fotki, Photobucket and Flickr. I find Fotki the easiest to make folders, move photos or even copy photos so you can have the same photo in two albums. I do that a lot when posting a photo on message boards. I have a Private album for message boards that I copy a photo into and then post it from there. That way if I should rearrange the original album, my photo will still be on the message board. The links are easier to get on Photobucket. Without resizing each photo I couldn't get a post-able size like Fotki has. I have never linked from Flickr so I'll test that here. AzTom 32 Ford by AzTom2010, on Flickr
  15. Thanks Pat, I never thought about checking Twitter. I hope they get it fixed soon, I have ebay auctions going off today and no detailed photos AzTom
  16. Thanks, I have a photobucket account also but have had issues with them and prefer Fotki. AzTom
  17. Not all woodies are wagons. Chrysler made a Woodie convertible around 1948. As stated above: Sedan delivery is based on the car body, all that I can think of have a singe back door Panel Truck is base on the truck body, all that I can think of have two back doors. These were not limited to 1/2 ton chassis. Either way I like them all AzTom
  18. Is anyone else having trouble getting on Fotki. I can't even get on the home page. This has happened before but usually only for an hour or so and linked photos still stayed up. Now my ebay photos are not showing up nor my photos on here. AzTom
  19. Sweet! I like the looks of that one.

  24. Yes it is a 428 Ford engine. The wires do come out of the four bumps you see on the side caps. Thanks, Tom
  25. Thanks for looking, after more research I found photos of the real Popcorn wagon. I'm good to go!
