  1. Cool, thanks, when I actually get my butt to the bench (soon),I'll get one started/added
  2. Nicely done! It look slike a real (1:1) one. I'm working on 1 of those myself currently (well..."working on" might be a stretch,LOL,it's on the side right now,but I digress...I have model building adhd )
  3. Man,that thing turned out GORGEOUS!!!
  4. These (that I ordered/pre-ordered way back in December) finally came yesterday (I now have all 3 Moebius F100's to build )
  5. Nice build,I LOVE those old Datusuns
  6. If it's still ok to join in (still no end date?),you can add me. I've been slow to build last few years (real slow ),but I've been buying up some minis and have some idears needing out, soon as I get a little more done on a Tahoe, wanting to start a mini
  7. Mailman dropped all these off today... ...have a few more truck kits coming (AMT Ford Ranger Splash,Monogram 1st gen Chevy S10 Waverider,2 more of those 4 door snap-kit Chevy S-Blazers,all NIB) as well
  8. They came in yesterday, and with the wife's "weekend" over and her going back to work today, the honey-do's are almost caught up,heeheehee (hoping to get back at it today or tomorrow )
  9. Cool (and at 43 in a couple months...I'm getting there myself too,as fast as time flies,I think I'm running on dog years )
  10. I screwed up the "quote" somehow... Gator,I wasn' tthinking old (s'kool) enough, had my brain stuck in the last 20 years,LOL! I meant no offense if any was taken,my friend Daniel, yeah, will definitely be using the Chrome T's whenever the USPS delivers them, will save the Vanquish's for another build (S10/Sonoma or Dodge Dakota)
  11. I do. I don't own an airbrush, rattle cans are all I use. I may would try more elaborate custom paint jobs if I had one,but never needed one ot get a smooth spray on simple paint jobs
  12. Thanks on the shaving props and kind words,my friend Nothing new or outside the box here, though, that air bagged stance is pretty much the normal in the trucking world both full size and minis, has been for a long time (here's a few pulled form a quick Googling, also check out pretty much any truck magazine not catered specifically to restos or 4x4's,like Truckin',Classic Trucks,Street Trucks, etc),at least since the 90's. They're usually not driven so low (couldn't turn ),just let the air out of the bags when parked. I've owned a couple that were (air) bagged and layed frame, one S10 had a traditional body drop (when I bought it),it would lay body when the bags were dumped As for the paint,I don't really have the skills (or an airbrush) to go too wild,it'll probably be a solid color,or maybe borrow decals from something like Revell's '99 Silverado lowerider.
  13. Thanks for the kind words,my friend! I think they'll look ok,most full size SUV's slammed in the weeds run 22"-24" wheels I agree, thinking that I'll just wait for the Chrome T's to come in,save these Vanquish's for another project I'm fixing to jump on. I upgraded my old Dremel tool (was a base model, chordless, had it for a decade) yesterday (bought a Dremel 3000 chorded unit with 5 different speed settings ),so I snuck away to the bench in between daddy duties and ground down all the side molding/trim and the raised door handles... Didn't have time to do much else, hoping to get back to the bench tomorrow (Wednesdays and Thursdays are the wife's weekends though, she's off work, might be too busy with honey-do's ) to get some putty slapped on there and start smoothing it out. Here's a mockup of the Vanquish wheels, and about the ride-height I'm going for... More to come
  14. A 1995 dealer promo of an S10 ZR2,and a shiney new Dremel model 3000 to pick up the slack from my ol dcheapy Dremel
  15. Not sure which set of wheels I want to use on this one (both are Pegasus 23"s)... These (which I just ordered off eBay)... or... (these are the ones I originally had ordered just for this build, but I'm thinking that they'll look equally as good on the other,so now I can' tdecide which wheels for this one,LOL!) Thoughts?
