  1. I was helping my mom clean out her attic a few weeks ago and I came across a box with some of my old builds in it. One of them was this 67 Camaro. I built this car the summer between 9th and 10th grade. Unfortunately, soon after building this, I lost interest in models for a while because I got my first real car. As you can see, she's pretty dirty and missing some body parts. It was also missing the hood, which was a stock hood that I cut out, so I threw this cowl hood on it that I had laying around. I didn't include any interior shots because it is SUPER dusty, but it has a full roll cage with a sheet metal dash and lenco shifters that I made with straight pins. Anyway, it's not the best thing I've ever built, but I thought some of you guys might enjoy it.
  2. I traded a really crappy muncie trans that I had laying around for a little flux-core MIG welder a few weeks ago and I've been itchin' for a chance to try it out. On the way home from grocery shopping on Saturday, I spotted 2 mountain bikes in the trash for bulk pick up day and it got the cogs turning in my head. This brave little soul gave up its life, so I could build this: Oh yeah, I'll be gettin' all the chicks now! I built one of these in metal shop in 9th grade and left it at my friend's house. His father threw it out when they moved and I have been missing it ever since. I still have to do some work on it and I would like to hook a derailleur up on the back, but I just can't bring myself to spend 10 bucks on a new chain right now...
  3. Wow! That is a beautiful job! Well done!
  4. Agreed! That is a beautiful color and it looks great on that car. Very nice job!
  5. I didn't have a complete kit when I started this and found everything in my parts boxes, but I'm almost positive they're just the stock lights that come with the truck. You're right, they do look like LED's. I still have to find some tail lights for it. Thanks again for all of the kind words everyone!
  6. For a stock engine, I would have to say the Cosworth Vega. Can't really explain why, though. I know it wasn't really a great engine, but I always thought they looked pretty cool. As far as modded goes, the small block Chevy holds a special place in my heart. I always get that warm, fuzzy feeling inside when I see a nicely hot-rodded one... Oh, and no blowers or fuel injection stuff. Just a nice, tall single plane with a big 4 barrel on top.
  7. That's one big mama! Very nice work! You should post it in the "Model Trucks" section, though. It will get more attention from the truck guys on the forum. I'm working on a 359 at the moment. Just a box stock build, however.
  8. Wow, that thing flies! That is really cool! I have the same car, but mine is all stock. I painted it up like Mr. Bean's car. (Yellow with a black hood.) Ludicrous speed... GOOOOO!!!!!!
  9. OUTSTANDING job so far!!! Your builds are totally mind blowing! Can't wait to see this one finished!
  10. LOL!! That one is great!
  11. Did you hear about the man with five penises? His pants fit like a glove.
  12. That's a pretty neat idea, Bill! I might have to try that. Thanks for sharing!
  13. I had an AFX coupe as well. I "fixed" all of the problems with it by putting it back on ebay.
  14. Wowee!!! What a beautiful build! I really like this one a lot!
  15. Very Nice build and an Awesome paint job! I wish I could do that! My only question is: It says "with a c" in the title, but I don't see a compressor or anything under the hood...
  16. That is looking GREAT!! Keep up the good work! She's gettin there! edit: Just checked it out in under glass. (guess I shoulda read your post here first before posting..hehe) AWESOME job!!!! That is a really cool limo! Might need to borrow that when my fiance and I decide to get married! Now where did I put that shrink ray....
  17. That thing looks really cool, man! GREAT work!
  18. Thanks guys! Looking at the pictures now, I think I'm gonna have to paint those inner fender wells black...
  19. Wow! That is really cool!! GREAT Job! There's a diner a few miles from my house that looks just like that. I remember they used to have car shows at it all of the time. Don't know if they still do...
  20. Thank you for the kind words guys!
  21. Thanks. I actually bought them off e(vil)bay a while back. I think they were like 3 bucks a piece, so I bought a few of them.
  22. I'd like to build 2 cars for this thread if I could. The first one I started building like a year ago and lost interest, but I would really like to finish it. (1993) Twin turbo, small block with a C6 trans: The second one, I started a couple weeks ago. (1979) Turbocharged 2.5 liter with a C4 trans:
  23. Super Job man!!! I've yet to built an Aoshima kit, but I think I'm going to have to pick one up. Looks very nicely detailed. That red is a great color on it and I really like the rims too.
  24. I was going to comment, but I have to be excused so I can pick my jaw up off the floor! Your builds just totally blow me away, John! Absolutely amazing work!!!
