  1. Well, I don't have any completed ones, but here's 2 "in progress" 427's to add to the thread.
  2. Made a little progress on the Soarer this morning. I cut down a seat from an old Monogram nascar, fit the chassis to the body, and started making an air/water intercooler for it. I also adapted a lenco trans to a Supra engine. I think I'm gonna shorten the bell housing a bit so the engine sits a little farther back. I'm probably gonna get rid of the front mudflaps as well, but leave the rear ones on to keep the rubber off of the quarters while she's in the burnout box. Here's a quick mockup: By the way, GREAT work so far everyone! I have a lot of catchin' up to do...
  3. This one started off as a "quickie" build, but it turned out to be a really fun project and I ended up adding a few more odds an ends than I was originally planning on. I wanted to make it look like a low budget weekend warrior from the 60's.
  4. This is a cool project! Never saw an Impala limo before. That is a BIG transformation and you are doing an awesome job on it! Keep up the great work. Can't wait to see it finished! Hey, you should build this one next!

    VW-56

Is that why they call it a "stinger" exhaust? Get a little too close and you notice a stinging sensation on your legs? Sweet looking Beetle man. I love those wheels on it! Perfect stance and the red hubs with the black body look great!
  6. That is one friggin' sweet ride! The color really pops on it! GREAT job!
  7. Wow, Ed!!! They look AMAZING! I wish I was in town so I could bid on them!
  8. Oh man!! I haven't had much time to spend building lately and I'm already in 2 other community builds, but I HAVE to get in on this one! I've got a few fox body stangs that need to be put together, just gotta figure out which one to do now.
  9. Sorry guys, I have no idea what this thing is called. My fiance bought a bag of sham-wows at the Englishtown swap meet and the guy threw this in with em. I found out that it is AWESOME at finding tiny parts that get dropped in the carpet. You just rub it over the area for a few seconds, take the lid off and voila! There's your part! I'll try and see if I can find out what it's called.
  10. Holy cow!! Did that ever destroy that car! That tire had to be going 200mph with an open diff! Poor Camaro
  11. True. Honestly, I've never even done the modified x. I always just go back to front on both sides.
  12. If you can't run non-directional tires in reverse rotation after they've been run, then why do some manufacturers recommend tire rotation with an "X-pattern"? I think you just had a case of good old bad luck. Like someone mentioned, the tire could have been run under-inflated. If they were used, the guy that had them before you could have been driving around for months with 10psi in the tire and it was already damaged and waiting to blow out. Or maybe you hit something? I've been a mechanic since out of high school and have seen MANY tires blow out like this. It's pretty amazing what can happen to tires sometimes. I had one car come in a few years ago with a pair of pliers stuck in the tire. Both of the handles were pushed through the tread and the head of the pliers were hanging out. We cut that part of the tire out and it's hanging on the wall at my father's shop.
  13. That looks bad ass! GREAT start!
  14. "Hampsta Salad" and my 20 was always 2 nickels and a dime no matter where I was
  15. That is gorgeous! Super job!
  16. Wow!! That is so incredibly cool! Amazing work! I love it!!!!
  17. Great Start! I really like the color you put on it and it's gonna look awesome with a tan interior.
  18. What a beautiful build, Bill! Like Harry said, it's nice to see one of these in stock form for a change. I almost forgot what they looked like! And thank you so much for the tutorial that went along with it, I definitely learned some new tricks. It is much appreciated!

  25. LOL that's funny! never knew that one. If you go to google and type "google l33t" and hit the "I'm feeling lucky" button, it coverts everything into "hacker" language.
