As many of you are, I am very pleased to have this kit currently available, to me, it's one of the most beautiful cars of that era. Had a few other things in mind to build but had to settle on this one even though that AMT '62 Pontiac Catalina was also calling my name, probably my next build.
I started looking at some reference photos in Google under images and found out that there is quite a little bit of work to be done on the front bumper. As you can see by the photos, there is a bit of the body color within the front bumper.

Also,the bezels around the headlights are painted black, what I did was use a black wash to do this. I will have to add a bit more later as I think it still needs better coverage. For the white, what I did was just carefully scratch off the chrome, this step exposes the white plastic underneath. I used Tamiya tape to make it possible to follow a straight line and keep myself from ruining the bumper. I will use Future Floor Wax at the end to give it a bit of gloss.

I like using these Citadel washes to help me out with this step, you do have to build them up more than the Detailer Liquids but they have a more flat look at the end rather than the bulky and glossy look you get from the Detailer brand.
