Thanks Kevin, it's always nice to know that I can help someone out the same way I was helped when I started in this hobby. I decided that I will auction the blue Willys next month in our club's November auction. I belong to 2 of the best clubs in the nation and I am very happy to always put a little effort to keep them going. Thanks again for your purchases, I will start working on that other model we talked about some time next week....
As usual, I had a lot of fun sharing with my friends at our monthly meeting! We had a Chopper theme going and there were a lot of cool ones in display. Congratulations to my boy Rick Forrester for his 1st place win, his Chopper was really gorgeous!!!

As I said, this was really a cool piece by Rick, lots of attention to detail and very clean!!!!

I have never had any issues with humidity here in Maryland but I never take any chances either. What I do is go to Wal-Mart or Home Depot and get me some Damp Rid, it absorbs humidity in the air. I don't like to explain much, that's the reason I invested in a digital camera and computer, the pictures will say it all! What I do is open one at least 3 hours before painting and I am ready to go!!!

Yes Jim, it does but you can primer and put any other color you want, that's also the beauty of this system. If I recall, the other colors are gold, green, gray, black, blue and I think 3 o 4 more colors, they are soft, not loud colors.
It goes together pretty good, I didn't have any problems. Some chrome parts are pretty fragile so just make sure you put a light touch when installing them, other than that I think you will like it.
Didn't have a digital camera when I did this about 6 years ago so I decided to post it this time. Just want to be active before deciding on my next build.

I will tell you this much, the best way to learn is actually going throught what you are going, I can assure you that you will take better decisions next time specially with the painting process! The project is an interesting one though, I did one of these kits myself and found it to be a lot of fun. Good luck!!!
That's funny man but what I find funnier is that I have another guy who is interested in seeing it tonight but is also interested in buying a few built models I have. Depending on his decision tonoght I will let you know by tomorrow. I will send you a private e-mail!!
I have the Crescendo for 15 years now, never had an issue. On top of that, I rarely clean it up to the point when I decide to do a body, other than that, I just spray some lacquer thinner through it and let it sit until the next time I have to use it!!!
These are some day pictures I took in the morning, wish it would have been a little sunnier but here we go, definitely can see the true color much better...
