Don't remember the color but I do know it's Dupli-Color with Odds and Ends clear from WalMart. Tires are resin redlines from Replicas and Miniatures Co. Of Maryland. Basically out of box with a little plumbing and wiring on the engine. Also used a Model Car Garage '66 GTO P/E Detail Set.

A little epoxy right at the edge of the rim, should be all you need.....

I like to use the MIG washes for my panel lines, they come in a variety of colors and the consistency of the wash is just perfect. I mostly use this color but any color would work for me being that I scribe my panel lines very deep anyway....

Got me these nice rims from ebay, I think I will use them on my Tamiya Aston Martin DBS. Would love to build something really sinister!!!

To tell you the truth, I am not much of an expert on Ferraris, the main reason for deciding on this build was the excuse to build the Historic Racing Miniatures engine and I thought this was the perfect kit to use it on. I am sure the Ferrari experts are seeing lots of flaws on this build but the idea here is to learn and most of all, have fun!

Thanks guys. Edward, the Hasegawa wheel/tire set is a little to "chromy" for this type of car. You need to remove the chrome from the sleeves and also sand down the P/E wire wheels with a 3200 grit sanding cloth. Use Self-Etching primer for the P/E wire wheels and regular primer for the sleeves before adding any paint. Go ahead and put them together and once completed, paint them with Tamiya Bare Metal color paint. I decanted my paint from the can and airbrushed it.

Featured in the January 2014 Model Cars Mag. Used the resin engine from Historic Racing Miniatures which is the correct one for this kit. Also used the KA-Models 250 TR Detail Up P/E set for the various details around the body, engine and interior. Rims and tires are from the Hasegawa Spoke Wheel Set. Decals are Cartograph. Paint is Tamiya Pure White, wet sanded, polished and waxed w/o clear. A very cool kit! One more pic...
