Thanks for the replies fellas, I surely appreciate them very much. Kevin, I like to use Engine Black from the Polly Scale line of acrylic paints to paint my window trim. It goes on smooth and pretty much levels itself. Also, capillary action helps for the back window on this one, didn't even have to mask it!

Thanks guys. The base coat is Testor's flat yellow from the small enamel bottles with Testor's wet look clear. The BMF looks smooth and shiny for 2 main reasons, I make sure the finish is smooth on the paint even around the window moldings and I use wax on the BMF after application.....

I have a few of these models and as Bill Geary says, with a lot of patience they really turn out great. I will follow this one closely because I certainly want to put one of mine together sometime this year!!
