  1. Thanks Jay, the interior paint is Tamiya Sand Beige.
  2. JC, you know very well the answer to that one and it's not a pretty one, I don't want to make you my enemy....
  3. Thanks guys, I really appreciate your comments!! Yes Paul, the rear badge as well as the front one between the "eyes" are photo-etch items. Also, there is a very small P/E emblem in the center of the steering wheel.
  4. Finally got this thing done! It is a comission build for a friend who was an owner of a real one. The kit weighs a ton since it is also made up of a lot of metal parts. Color is Tamiya Racing Green w/ Testor's Wet Look clear. I would have preferred not adding the clear but the client likes shiny...... The kit is curbside. http://www.fotki.com'>Hosted on Fotki http://www.fotki.com'>Hosted on Fotki http://www.fotki.com'>Hosted on Fotki http://www.fotki.com'>Hosted on Fotki http://www.fotki.com'>Hosted on Fotki http://www.fotki.com'>Hosted on Fotki http://www.fotki.com'>Hosted on Fotki
  5. Looks awesome!!!
  6. Very nice, the color looks great and the vinyl top looks very convincing!
  7. Very cool!!!
  8. Thanks for the info Paul, I appreciate that very much. This is a model I am putting together for a client so I am not going too crazy with accuracy or anything like that even though I will try to make it as accurate as possible, also, the guy will not pay for the extra details so it's being built right out of the box. So far I have already painted, wetsanded and polished the body and also added clear. The paint is Tamiya Racing Green with 5 coats of Testor's Wet Look clear. The dash is also completed and added to the body. I am still working with the suspension and other small details so I will share a little later. http://www.fotki.com'>Hosted on Fotki http://www.fotki.com'>Hosted on Fotki http://www.fotki.com'>Hosted on Fotki The wheels were actually polished and waxed since they are metal, once I saw how nice the metal looked when I finished buffing it, I didn't waste my time trying to paint them. http://www.fotki.com'>Hosted on Fotki
  9. Thanks for the help anyway Derick, like I said, I will be updating this here soon.
  10. Sorry fellas, I will post more WIP pictures later, can't do this well at all from my mobile...

  13. I think that will come with time and it's something you will experience as you go. We all have our different ways of approaching things, with time you will also do the same. I do however insist on asking for help as you go, it's better to approach your doubts with a little help rather than just go re-inventing the wheel sometimes.
  14. Got mine at my local Hobby Store but should have waited and saved 8 dollars if I would have purchased it from my regular guy....
  15. Most of all? Stay tuned to the various model car forums, you will learn a lot specially when you decide to do what you just did, ask!!!
  16. Very nice build!!
  17. Happy Birthday amigo!!!
  18. Hey G, please let me know if you are not going to use them, I will buy them from you to give them to my friend!
  19. This is the most current version of the '68 Charger by Revell and I am almost positive that it did bring the dog dish hub caps, just wanted to be sure.....
  20. Hey guys, I built this Charger a few years back and while in Facebook, a guy asked me if the dog dish hubcaps came with the kit, I replied yes but to be honest, I don't remember. Can anyone reassure me of this? I want to make sure he knows the info. http://www.fotki.com'>Hosted on Fotki

Sorry guys, I figured since it was a big scale there would not be any issues with fitment. That's what you get for building out of your comfortable "scale" zone.... I made a mistake also, should have put this in the big scale section.....Sorry Harry.....
  24. http://www.fotki.com'>Hosted on Fotki These also look pretty black to me...and it's a real car!
  25. This is a model with deeply scribed panel lines and a blackwash. I am sorry but yes, in my humble opinion, the panel lines need to be blackwashed after scribing. I keep hearing that it should not be black and that it should be something like a dark gray or something. If you scribe them deep, this is what you get, no matter how dark or lighter your wash is..... http://www.fotki.com'>Hosted on Fotki
