  1. I don't see too much of a difference on the posts Is it me? Anyway, Bill, I miss you my brother....When are you going to visit us at the club again! Sorry to hear about all the issues.
  2. Very cool Doc! I love red!!
  3. Very cool my friend, I am certainly following this one closely, you are messing my head up with this baby!!
  4. Very cool, I am certainly enjoying this build!
  5. The tutorial was written on my last post! It's as simple as just adding the wash to the part and just go from there. You will notice that it goes on very light since it is very thin, you add as you go until you are happy with the results. On the valve covers you see, I added at least 3 light coats because of the small ridges they have. On the intake manifold I probably have 2 coats to create a little contrast. The carbs and fuel pump have one heavy coat and some drybrushing with Rub n Buf. That's basically it, you have to go out, purchase a small bottle and try it.
  6. I like to use Citadel washes, these are available through Games Workshop stores and come in various colors, this is the one I use the most and the one this engine has. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki I like the fact that it goes on very light so you can opt to stop any time you think you have enough wash on the part. It's also very thin and not as thick as the detailer.
  7. One of the things I constantly hear from people who used to carry it is that they are actually losing money instead of making a profit by selling it, I don't know if that is the reason for some people not carrying it. I will definitely make it a point to talk to some hobby and book stores to see if I can make a difference. I used to subscribe but my subscription ran out, soon I will subscribe again.
  8. Hey Ed, we will talk this evening at work, hopefully you will be on the same shift as I am like last month. I thought you were up north at home today?
  9. I also use the engine black, always thought it was the perfect shade and color to use when deciding on a black interior. Hosted on Fotki

Looks cool man, and don't worry about critisicm, it will only make you a better builder, I bet the next one you do will look much better. I am sure he didn't say that to make you feel bad even though I think he should have gone about it a little better. I for one consider myself more old school, your choice of rims looks cool but I personally would have gone another route but hey, this is how you and some other people like it and that's what matters. Color choice is also beautiful even though I would have preferred a non metallic color but again, it does look great. One little word of advice, try working on your panel lines, they really do make a model stand out. These are little issues that we all here learn with time and if I tell you that it all looks perfect, I don't think I would be helping you. You have great potential to be an outstanding modeler. The engine bay by the way? Looks phenomenal!!

  23. Good question! I come pretty much every day, I have the kind of job that keeps me in the office most of the day so I always have time to come in, see, comment and enjoy. I do share a lot of my work here also, it's one of the things that keeps me motivated apart from the 2 clubs that I belong to.
