  1. Thanks bro, I did this thing about 6 years ago, I could have done a lot of things better but it's good to sometimes go back and see your old builds, you can certainly see how much better you have become when you compare them to your recent builds! Hosted on Fotki
  2. Thanks guys! Ed, I have never seen decals cleared on a real race car, that's why I never do it.
  3. Thanks guys. Lot's of great help I can certainly use!
  4. Very cool! Welcome to the forum!
  5. Stunning work, looks incredible!
  6. Switch? From my muscle cars and American Iron to a shark with tires? I doubt it... I do have to admit that it was a lot of fun and certainly different. This is the actual kit... Hosted on Fotki Below is the link to the entire build... http://public.fotki.com/MCRUZ1/mclaren-mercedes-project/ Thank you all for your comments!!
  7. Finally got this thing done. Thanks to Rey Franco,a very good friend of mine from Puerto Rico, I was able to acquire an extra kit he had in his stash and I was able to replace the bad tires and the missing decals to finish this one off. I had a lot of fun building this thing even though it's not the type of subject I generally build. Had a few friends tell me of the possible issues I was going to face building one of these, this helped me a bit, these type of kits are a little quircky when it comes to the final step of the build which is trying to get all 4 tires to touch the ground. I did have to kind of play around at the end but with a little effort I got it done. Hope you guys like it! Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki

  10. Sorry guys, I will post the right pictures soon......
  11. This turned out spectacular my friend!!!!!
  12. Cool work! The next time you decide to remove paint, go by WalMart and buy some Dawn power dissolver. That stuff takes any paint off and will not affect the plastic. It is in the dishwasing detergent section. Purchase 2 bottles, dump them on a small container and place the part in it.
  13. I like this, very cool!!!
  14. Very cool and it' s what I have always said, pictures under direct sunlight do not come out as nice as the ones in the shadows, the best ones are always on the cloudy days. Very cool build. This car is always a favorite among custom style builders but I think as you do, I love to see it untouched. Very nice job!
  15. Hey guys, class is in session, grab your chairs, pencils and paper, lot's to learn here! Keep us posted Rey!

  17. No science my friend, go outside and place it in front of a white or light gray background, this way it will keep the focus more on your model after you take the pictures. Great job!
  18. Also, it should be "correct these" Not that I am a grammar police or anything.......
  19. This had me rolling!!!
  20. Thanks guys, I also thought I got it at a good price considering that it's never been opened!
  21. Hosted on Fotki Hey guys, anyone here has one of these? How good is the kit? I just won this on Ebay for less than $30.00 sealed and wanted to know some info. If you guys can post some pictures for inspiration that would be even better!
  22. Hey!!! No kids permited here!!! Welcome!!!
  23. Completed this one in 2008, great kit! Hosted on Fotki
  24. That is a nice kit, great job on this. I built one about 3 years ago and had a lot of fun putting it together!!
  25. The WalMart close to my house sells them but they don't have the color you are mentioning. I used to buy their clear and it was very good but they don't sell it anymore.
