  1. Hosted on Fotki Greetings fellas! This is a little something I am cooking in the old Cruz family basement for you to enjoy. It is based on the Lindberg '53 Ford Victoria, a kit I have always wanted to build and also one that was voted kit of the year after it hit the shelves in it's debut. Nothing special, just a few extra resin parts from my favorite resin caster Norm Veber from Replicas and Miniatures. I am lowering it slightly and with Norm's '53 Ford "Hop Up" kit I will be able to hit the streets and Custom shows "sleeper" style and kick some "culitos" here and there. The stance you see in the picture might change slightly, I just wanted to see how the rims and whitewalls looked. I am currently in the process of putting the engine together along with the distributor wires and wire looms. Norm's resin hop up kit already includes the wire looms and they are terrific, I just wanted to use the hypordemic needles to simulate mine and have some fun experimenting. I also purchased the Model Car Garage '53 Ford Victoria Detail Set for the emblems and a few other things along the way. I also purchased their Stromberg kit which includes the stromberg resin carbs and P/E linkages and parts. I will just go ahead and add the pictures, feel free to ask in case of any questions....

  6. Very cool, terrific job!
  7. For the record, Gregg, I will send you my info with pay stubs and all so that you may garnish my wages just to keep this wonderful forum up and running! I am sure it's worth every penny!
  8. The only gripe I have about Norm is that he does'nt have his workshop in my basement....
  9. I don't worry about the differences of opinion my friend, it's just how we go around dealing with them. It's these differences that actually make for an interesting and intuitive forum. My concern is how much fun are you having while sharing your opinions, fun is the word I always want to concentrate in......
  10. Let's keep it at that, I remember the thread very well and I don't see the need to resurrect it or bring it back, this is a totally different subject. I do thank you for your input.
  11. Thanks bro but I would rather look for something more constructive, not destructive.
  12. Hey guys, hope all is well out there with all of you. Lately, I have been seeing a little bickering and arguing in the forum. While I am never crazy about it, I have to admit that it’s always going to be a reality and somehow a part of it. My petition to you guys is this one, please don’t leave thinking that by doing so it will fix matters or dissolve the issue. It’s something that will always happen here or anywhere else. With that said, I really think it’s a blessing to have a place like this where we can share our ideas and passion for this hobby. By leaving and stating that you are tired of the bickering, you are only making it easier for other people to follow the same trend and also adding fuel to the fire towards make this place uninviting. We just cannot afford to put ourselves at the level of the critics and troublemakers. This is exactly what they ultimately want you to do. If there is something you don’t like the best thing to do is to ignore it. If you must post, please think twice before clicking on the “post” button, it will only help matters by taking a little time to study what you just wrote. I understand that some people might have their way of talking but a lot of times we have to remember that talking and writing don’t always go hand in hand, as a matter of fact, it rarely does. Think about that one for a moment. For the record, what I really want to express in this thread is the fact that we are grown men, not little kids. We should be able to share our ideas and thoughts and come to peaceful terms and conclusions when any kind of troubles arise. Gregg has taken a lot of time and effort to make this a great place for us to enjoy and at least for me, I will continue to do that. I just hope you guys will also.
  13. I took the chrome off the wheels and painted them with Model Master Metallizer brass paint. I gave them a slight black wash to bring out more detail. I used the Accuston P/E detail set for the interior and emblems around the body.
  14. I did mine a little different in color. I used Scalefinishes Pontiac Bristol Blue. I thought it was a great kit.
  15. Man, I am so picky about washing parts that I have even thought about washing the box even before opening it Of course, while still in the wrapper....
  16. Okay Romell, you are officially crazy in my book...
  17. Great work my friend and for the record? Kustov does not come close to your building talents, that's a fact. He might know a lot about the history of Ferraris and is a great builder but he is not this good.
  18. I just picked up a set from a show last Sunday, they do look very cool man, very nicely done. Don't know how correct they would be if you are building a nostalgic hot rod or something but seems to me they would work perfectly. Wish I had them when I was putting together my '32 Ford sedan I just finished...
  19. Really sorry to hear this Bill, I just hope everything turns out for the better my friend.
  20. You are one bad man!!! Thanks for sharing, much to learn here!!!
  21. Why do you even waste your time asking me this??? Of course, use anything you want.....
  22. Very cool!!
  23. I for one enjoyed it very much as always but again, I must say THANKS A MILLION to the people that make this show possible!!!!
