  1. Cool project, there is something about that body that I just love!!!
  2. Looks awesome, you're gonna make me want to build my STi now...
  3. I made my own booth with some leftover wood panels I had laying around. After that, I went out and purchased a PSC Dayton Blower, vented it out from my basement and it works wonders. I did pay just under 90 dollars for the blower but you have to consider the importance of purchasing the right blower for the application. Below is a link from Grainger for those interested in obtaining one. http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/oem-specialty-blowers/blowers/hvacr/ecatalog/N-d0x Here are some pictures of the work I did... Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki I purchased a Badger airbrush at Michael's using their 40% discount coupons. I have a Crescendo airbrush and it's a good quality airbrush. I use a Craftsman air compressor that has been with me for almost 18 years now.
  4. I started with Photobucket myself and moved over to Fotki, I find it a lot better and more versatile!!!
  5. Great stuff Virgil!!!!
  6. Virgil, you are way too nice a guy to have "cranky" anywhere near your name, Cranky people don't usually share all this good stuff with anybody.! There is so much to learn from you amigo, thanks for always keeping us informed!!!

  11. Awesome space! Hope you enjoy it for years to come.....
  12. I don't have any problems with my Droid either and when using WiFi, it's really awesome!!
  13. Thanks Jay! No, I do not use a tecnical paint for my panel lines, I just scribe them very deep and fill them in with Testor's Metallizer paint, capillary action helps out a lot since these paints are very thin. I will repeat the process after priming the body, I will then sand it down with a 3200 or 3600 grit sanding cloth and finish off with the paint. I still have the option of doing it at the end but usually there is no need for it.
  14. I am starting on this little project once I am done building a '68 Dart for a club member, I just want to share it with you guys in the meantime. I want to thank Rodney Badger for making this kit available for me when I needed it, he is a great guy and forum member, thanks Rodney!!! This is the actual kit, I like the fact that it is an older model/year, there's something about this body I absolutely love! Hosted on Fotki Even though the kit has some really nice rims and tires, I wanted to do something a little different so I started playing around with some Pegasus Aluminum sleeves and several choices of rims I had laying around. After a lot of thinking and difficulties trying to fit several rims inside the sleeves, I decided on these ones from an old RX7 Mazda kit. Of course, I had to do some sanding to get them to work w/ the sleeves but overall, it went pretty well. Hosted on Fotki I gave them a nice polishing with Maguiar's wax and cleaner do get rid of some little oxidation and fingerprints and I am happy!! Here is a mockup of more or less the rake I am going for, this will be a curbside kit and a simple one at that, it's just something between projects I want to do but also a kit I wanted to have in my collection. I am still playing around with the color choice for the car but I will come up with it later, in the meantime, of course, suggestions are very welcomed!!! Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki I want to go with something like this but my rims and tires will be deeper into the body and ultimately lower.... 15. It's good to have the one with the foam block specially when sanding flat areas like roofs and stuff. You still have to make sure that you get your foundation straight, in other words, use the foam block on your plastic first and then your primer, it will definitely be easier at the end to get the results you want.
