  1. Terrific work, surely this one will be on my wish list. That color looks fantastic, what color and paint???
  2. I have been doing a bit more work on the Porsche chassis. Took off some excess plastic to make sure that the tires didn't look incorrect in the back, this is a step that has to be corrected so they don't stick out at the end. I will let the pictures do the talking... Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki The rim at the top is the spare that will be installed in the trunk at the end. It was Alcladed with Aluminum, I just had to make sure that it looks similar to the ones in the kit.... Hosted on Fotki

    Tall-T low rod

    Too cool bro!!!!
  4. I like to use the back of a #11 X-Acto knife also and like Steve says, I make sure that the tip is slightly broken off, for some reason it works better this way. I like scribing my lines pretty deep and using Testor's Metallizer paints. Since these paints consistency is very watery, capillary action helps a lot when using this method. I will do this on the bare plastic first and also after my primer coats, after this, everything pretty much falls into place. Here is an ongoing project of mine, the kit plastic is yellow, this is not the actual color. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki These are the results after painting and completion.... Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki What I like about this method is that you can notice how deep the panel lines actually are, in my humble opinion, it looks as if you can actually open the doors or trunks on the model. You can still fill the lines at the end if need be even after going through the original process.
  5. Just click on the link below!!!!! http://public.fotki.com/MCRUZ1/mama-meeting-6/
  6. In my humble opinion, nothing works better than Model Master enamels for the Alclad base, I've never had any issues with it, works every time!
  7. This is great, I have to practice and get going on my weathering techniques, there's much to learn from builds like this! Thanks for sharing!
  8. I don't think there's a better color for that car, you did a terrific job and now I want to build one......
  9. Terrific work, I also like the fact that the engine was kept inside the hood.
  10. Awesome work my friend!!!!!
  11. My advice to you? Just take your time and pace yourself, you are well in your way to become a very good modeller since you are aware of your flaws. I suggest that you attend a few model shows and if possible, become a member of a club, you will not only keep yourself motivated but you will also learn from other more experienced modelers. By the way, terrific work!
  12. Sounds great Virgil, I will be checking it out and subscribing, thanks!!!!!!!

    34 ford coupe

Hate the color but love the build!
  14. Love that year scirocco, wish I had one in my collection of VW's......
  15. You do know that you will get a million views with a title to a thread like that right? You got my attention!
  16. I agree with you brother, definitely stronger fans but, by sharing this, you have given people more ideas and options on how to go around doing their own booths. Thanks again bro!!!
  17. As usual Virgil, thanks for the videos and inspiration. Not a very strong fan and system but for starters is pretty good!
  18. I hate all this bickering myself and also think that it shouldn't go on in our forum as well as in others, I think it's a blessing to have different places to visit and to share with other people what you are really passionate about, which in this case should be our love for the hobby. Let's leave it at that and continue enjoying what we do guys!!!

    Great job man, too cool!!!!
  20. Looks cool with those pipes bro, great project!!!
  21. After showng them around at different shows, I usually sell them afterwards, later, like a dumbass, I will regret it....
  22. All I can say is that at least we have choices, several years back we didn't have any forums or this great available information that we passionate modelers love to share. We all need to acknowledge and be thankful for this much versatility. Everywhere you go you will always find good people talking and sharing our passion and I think we should be respectful of that.
  23. Very cool Scott and I like the fact that you took time out to detail around the headlights and paint them body color the way it should be!!!
  24. That's what I thought also, when I used it on a '68 Charger a few months back it came out lighter even after using gray primer. Anyway, great job on it, I do love this color on any car. I would post a picture but will wait for permission from the thread starter..... It could also be the lighting when it was photographed.....
