  1. no fair. only a few select people understand Eddie Vedder.
  2. "you know she was a dancer. She moved better on wine." I like this thread...
  3. beautiful cats (and dogs) I am not much of a cat person, but obviously more than others. we live on a less traveled dirt road and someone dumped a little 8 to 10 week old little girl kitten. well, needles to say, Lacy has become part of the family. spry, no picts yet. there was a thread for family "PETS" and their antics, you can find it here; http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=84320&page=5 feel free to ad to it.
  4. nice Bill. thanks for the picture. I passed it on to a friend and they placed orders. I wish I would have gotten mine from Kevin, love the chrome.
  5. not much into station wagons, but I saw one of these at a hot rod nats event, 428, 4 speed, green with wood grain, roof rack and that flip up seat in the back. out of all the cars I saw at that show, this is the one I still remember.
  6. great job, keep plugging along.
  7. glad to hear your OK. getting old, well, that's all part of it. had a stint like that 6 months ago, went to the hospital, they found I was in great shape (besides the quarter keg I'm carrying). don't know what's worse, finding something or not finding anything. carry on the best you can.
  8. I am looking for a vendor who sells this piece. my old age has hit the memory banks and I can't seem to remember who I got it from. I believe someone even sells a chrome version. a google search has even failed me. any help would be appreciated.
  9. anything by anybody that get to the "under glass" section. I have one request, if someone posts up a favorite build, can you put a link to it, that would be so helpful.
  10. check about 1/2 way down on this page. http://www.members.shaw.ca/aarcuda/aarfaq.html
  11. forgot about this thread. has this hood been cast? have I missed it? anyways, don't want to hijack this thread and I certainly am not calling anyone out on this, but the factory did not put a bump, budge, bend or any other word you want to come up with in the AAR hoods, there is no mention of it in any publication I have read. nor have I ever seen any documentation on this. again, to my knowledge, this "bend" in the hood was caused by opening, closing, a little too tall air cleaner or just plain old laying, or leaning in the factory just too long, they will tend to bend and warp that way also.. if anyone can come up with any information on this hood, I would love to see it. would make interesting reading. I have scanned the internet on this and have come up empty. these are the articles I have in my personal collection that have no mention on the "bent" hoods; Car and Driver - July '70, Car Life - July '70, Hot Rod - June '70, PHR - July '70, Road Test - June '70 here also is the AAR Cuda web site http://www.aarcuda.com/ really, I am not looking for any debate on this. this has been talked about for ever and I am looking for some documentation on these hoods. thanks in advance, Tubbs
  12. no joke, don't even like country, but Roy Clark has got to be in there somewhere...... unless we are sticking to rock stuff.... then..... nevermind. Stevie Ray Vaughn - tops in my book Michael Schenker Ronnie Montrose Johnny Winter Rick Derringer
  13. she played rhythm behind...... LITA FORD!!!!
  14. nice looking vega Stan, I am sure it will be a lot nicer when you get all that stock stuff out of the way. 15. dag nabbit. doing this on a tablet. whole bunch od different. anyways. you are quit welcome. love to help out. dont be affraid to call anytime.
  16. 1 time SEMA vet here. wish I could go back. it is soooo good, you actually forget your in Vegas. well, not really, but pretty close. don't spent too much time in one place. hitting up Woodward this year with my son, 1st time for that too.
  17. congrats John. SEMA is a wild show. just huge!! great innovative and cool stuff you get to see first hand.... if you can keep your eyes on the car parts instead of the girl parts. I was speechless at the show the 1 time I got to go. wear comfortable shoes.
  18. thanks, just so much going on on this site, you blink, you miss something. that first shot is KILLER!! turned out very well. looking forward to what's next!
  19. hey Stan... that is the ONLY way to fly!! what's taking up the empty space on your bench next?
  20. I use solid styrene rod. if you use hollow, you can put a piece of aluminum or brass rod inside to keep it from collapsing. I usually bend mine with no heat. takes longer, I just haven't mastered the "how long you heat the rod" part of the whole candle thing. I end up with a wet noodle rod. it takes practice.
  21. ok, here goes..... - all my friends (and others) know I build models. - I make engine and tire squealing sounds when mocking up a build. - my 12 year old and I race each other to the hot wheels and models in Wal-Mart. - I carry my box of model stuff thru a crowded library with pride. - I have one several air guitar contests - I play the air drums in my car at red lights - my sons and I have sword fights with the putters at putt-putt - I, not my boys, am the one who gets warned about "bumping" in the go-carts. - I am the first to volunteer if someone wants somebody to go on stage for something stupid. when I do this stuff, as people look at me with that "just grow-up" look, I feel bad for them as they are sitting, wondering when their kids are going to be done entertaining themselves so they can go home. most of these kinds of people don't really know how to have fun. it's a sad state of affairs when everything you see and hear what's your kids to be older than they are and totally skip their childhood. I am almost 55 and am still in my childhood (sorry Jan, my beautiful wife of 28+, she has put up with a lot). as long as you are not hurting anyone, do what makes you happy. - still looking to partake in a flash mob dance.... maybe at one of the NNL's? ..... anyone?
  22. well Brandon, good to hear you got the motor, sorry to hear about the glue disaster. don't fret it though, take your time and do what the earlier posts have said. you can use the line for the fender/nose connection for an edge, that's no problem, mask off far enough, use low pressure and let each coat dry. I thought only stuff like this happened to me. hope I didn't ship along some of my bad luck. chin up, it's a great build, don't ;let this detour you from finishing this. btw - here is a great page for items that are standard and extra on 69 dodge models. http://www.andy440.com/69facts.htm
  23. hey Stan, must be old age, I cannot find this under glass. oh well. it came out really nice. great to see pro streeters showing up. great build, lots of nice touches that make it a great model. you should be proud..... will be stealing, er... using some of your stuff on a few of my builds.
  24. looking beautiful. nice bare metal foil job.
