  1. AWESOME!!! great build on a mopar you don't see too much of.
  2. hehe, how do you really feel about him Jake, Jake from state farm (sorry, I think that commercial is great). I agree with what you say 100% LeBron has to take the geers with the cheers!! with Manziel, to quote you "But he could very well be the next great qb" I hope that is true. takes the spotlight all year and breaks every offensive stat there is. what do you think you will see from him then. he will be bashing every club that passed on him, that is for sure!!
  3. all valid points that I can't disagree with. they say it's a close race between the 2 QB's. either way, Manziel's antics don't bother me. as long as your not hurting anyone (Ray Rice) you can do what you want in your personal life, just throw touchdowns when it matters for me. there are a lot of idiot players out there. I guess money and a lot of talent does that to some people. you have to have a certain level of arrogance in you, you have to think you are better than the man across from you. but you have to say something about the Jerry Rice, Joe Thomas types also. that's why I try to keep my focus on what happens between the white lines, in any sport. GO CLEVEAND!! its already August, the first pre-season game is right around the corner.
  4. always cut AWAY from yourself too. hurts like the dickens stabbing yourself in the chest. and it's not just X-acto blades. ever hold a chassis in your hands while aggressively cutting the back-half off and you end up sawing half way thru the palm of your hand.
  5. I always see the 3 or 4 kits on the table that the guy is rock solid on $15 apiece, decent price, sure, garage sale price, not at all. no matter what kit they have, it's rare and you can't find it anywhere.
  6. nice camaro. very clean build.
  7. now that I am building my first thunderbolt as a pro touring car, I was curious about the side spears. since I was doing my own thing and not replicating any specific car, I figured it didn't matter what color it was. after looking at a lot of t-bolt pictures, it seems to me that there is no rhyme or reason for the side spear color. I have seen black, white, silver, body color, I have seen a side spear that has no insert to it. just a thin piece of stainless. so my question is what drives this color? model, body color? was it an option, you can pick what color it was? this is ending up a question for my own knowledge for future thunderbolt builds. thanks in advance, Tubbs
  8. thanks for taking the time to take those shots. you use acrylic paints? I do a lot of crafts (well, used to) and have a bunch of those. I have to break them out and try them. great work area. produces some top notch builds too.
  9. great job Tommy. really like the color. nice clean build. that back half is from the 70 pro street super bee/coronet kit. (the pro street GTX and road runner have dana's for rear ends). gotta love them pro street cars, well done for your first attempt.
  10. hey Jake, I agree and disagree with you. LeBron, I feel did not turn his back on Cleveland, he single handedly brought us to 2 championships and the Cavs, in my opinion, did not put enough firepower around him to get the job done. NOBODY ever talks about the other 11 guys who failed on those 2 teams, just the way that LeBron failed. if I am the best at what I do, and I have a chance to get the ultimate goal, I am taking it. as far as the decision goes, yes, that is on his shoulders, but I think it wasn't his idea totally, people saw the chance to make money and they took it. as far as your statement.... "Manziel on the other hand looks like the second coming of Ryan Leaf" well, lets just say I will be rooting for him not to fail. Cleveland has missed on too many picks, I hope this is not one of them. I still think he was picked to deflect attention away from Haslam. not solely, but it was a big part.
  11. hey Jim, you have a PM.
  12. first off Jim, thank you for your service! secondly, beautiful build. have a few of these, but never put one together, what yellow did you use? looks nice.
  13. I'm in the Streetsboro area, Welcome Royce.
  14. hey, don't take the little things for granted.... like plenty of X-acto blades, paint brushes, masking tape, you know, the necessities you hate to buy.
  15. took the word right out of my mouth Tom. I bring my stuff into work here sometimes, the only ones that even give me the slightest hard time are some of the younger guys that are really protecting their own image. I have gotten more free models and tools just from polishing up a body. it kind of backfires though when some of the people at work ask me when I am going to bring in something that is complete...... really!?
  16. well Fred, you are correct, the motor sent to me is not blown, but looks killer all the same!! what's really cool is the whole front half of the chassis of the 2010 mustang is almost the same dimension as the t-bolt !! so it seems there will be an easy swap there. have to do something with the inner fenders as I think the motor is a little wide for them. I will find out as I move along. thanks for everyone's help on this. project # I-have-no-clue is up and running. have a great day, Tubbs
  17. neat..... and I mean that literally!! i saw that same sign and showed the wife, she said it doesn't suite me because i never spend any time in my model room.....OUCH!! funny, i have the exact same door leading into my model room, but when i open my door, i get a whole nuther view!! if you don't mind, can we get a closeup of the bench, and maybe some of those models those trophies belong to?
  18. completed a few deals; first, I completed a deal with Jeff B, we live fairly close and he was willing to come to a mutual meeting place close to my work to complete the deal. it was a pleasure meeting him and will trade anytime. second, I would like to thank ScaleDale, I posted up that I was looking for a motor, not only did he come thru with a motor, but plenty of extras too. he even took the time to put the motor together and sent me some pictures. thanks Dale, they will all be put to good use. another one of the good guys. oh yea, and he did not ask for anything in return.
  19. nice as usual Tyrone. I will be watching..... and thanks.
  20. sorry for your loss, Kerry. it's not easy, keep him in your heart always. lost both of my parents, they keep an eye on me still.
  21. 100% correct on the pinion snubber, no need for traction bars. you can even make an adjustable one...... you needed them hijackers to get those N50's to clear the wheel wells... I never liked that look either. I hear you on the "I don't want the finished model to look like I just threw a bunch of aftermarket detail stuff at it" I think you are doing a bang up job. keep pushing.
  22. can't agree more. lived here all of my almost 55 years, like anyplace, good points and bad. too bad industry and just general work has moved on. lots of steel and auto plants closing around me. hey Dennis, I know the Shaker area pretty well. don't know how old you are, but I was weaned on Randall Park Mall. worked there from 79 to 84ish.great place. better than night clubs for meeting girls, especially when you sold women's shoes...... but I digress... sports as well as downtown economy looking up with just the addition of 2 people. I agree with Johnny being second string, just don't know how long the leash will be on Hoyer.
  23. thats ok,don't matter to me about their personal life or what people think of them, i dont really care if they are jerks or not, just do it between the lines, that's all i want. like Al Davis once said "just win baby". i could type a list a mile long of all the "jerks" in sports, they have to live their life, not me.
  24. very sorry, this build is killer also. great vision and super building techniques on these. just outstanding Blair!!!
