I didn't sand down the switch detail. It gives a subtle "depth" to the add on radio face. Read as, I was too lazy to sand the mo fo.
Tamiya tape comes in many widths, and if you have a sheet of glass, can be cut however you want.

I updated the "office" with some radio faces graciously provided by Mr Stephens.
The laptop screen was first painted tamiya NATO black, then clear green, then a coat of Future was added. I think it gives the impression of a blank screen rather well.

They look good to me!
As far as the paint scheme, get some Tamiya masking tape, and paint light to dark. White base, then yellow, then red, then the dk. blue.

I used to be, but not anymore, the meeting schedule doesn't match my work schedule anymore.
I hear they're about defunct now. My understanding is they meet with a new group called the Las Vegas Car Guys or some such. I see John O every now and then, so I stay in touch.
Edit - Just about any policecar model in the gallery is mine LOL!

Badger 350 - I use it for clear coats and any large surface.
Badger 155 Anthem - All around go to AB.
Badger Renegade Velocity - Used for detail work, camo patterns, preshading on everything.
Paasche VL - My previous all around go to brush, needs seals now.

Ditto, it's a model of a 1980 Electra Glide Classic. '79 and 80 differed only in the tank graphics. The sidecar was a popular, but expensive option. The bike really wasn't designed for that rig. I had a '79 in those colors, got it for $3000 in '88.
Note the hamcan air cleaner. That was a B###H to remove.

The best advice I ever received regarding ships, is to build it "up and out".
PE rails are some of the best looking additions, yet attaching them drives me crosseyed.

I usually do not cut the panel lines unless the decal refuses to lay down. If I must cut I will do it while on the model.
These are good quality decals and settled in perfectly around the doors. Where I did make a cut was over the front wheel well. A compound curve prevented the decal from conforming correctly and solvent would not help. The decal was carefully sliced, and it then overlapped itself for a correct fit.
