HUMIDITY!
95 degrees and 98% humidity in the summers. Cold northern air, warm southern air, wearing shorts and a parka, having the AC and the heat on inside 12 hours, it's a breeding ground for severe weather.

Jonathan when AzDPS and NvDPS team with ICE, they can go darn near anywhere they are needed. Truck interdiction was huge on the 95 and the 93 a few years ago. Now that the bridge is open, that route from Mexico will be heating up again.
G
Yes it does. Especially how the darn laptop blocks the entire dash, and intrudes into the passenger seat area. Fond memories of constantly closing the computer to adjust climate controls, a certainty in the midwest.

I have seen Az DPS trucks all the way up here in Henderson on the 95. They wolfpack with NHP during interdiction details. Illinois State Police used the last of the Camaros as stealth interceptors. Those mofos would flat out go. If I recall correctly they were all 9C1 package Camaros in a Champagne gold color.

I built a '32 five window my way. Did an entire WIP on that "other" site. About a year later someone posted a similar build here, said he was inspired by one on the other site.
I was quietly flattered.
I like to look for inspiration, and will gladly emulate something I like, but I will put my spin on it.
G
Yes Jonathan I did.
I used the wheels/tires/hubs from a diecast CVPI. It didn't take much to adapt them to the 'stang
Mike I'm loving the coupe, that color is an eye catcher for sure.

Ok the first painting stage is complete, and drying in the sun.
I will start the building on this shortly. I want to finish the CHP Dodge first, but cannot resist the painting of the body.

TJ the base kit is an old AMT NASCAR Pontiac Gran Prix. I cut away the offending roof section, and added the ring mount. I plan to use wheels and tires from a Revell Impala SS.

Galaxium is the best.
Here's where I sit with my scout car.
This was a period NASCAR kit that was hopelessly warped and twisted in the box. Perfect for a warped and twisted build.
G
The weather is ready to take a dump here, so I painted as much as possible in the past two days. Now I can concentrate on assembly. I did some scratch building, and kit part modifications to better replicate a CHP Charger.
Pics shortly, camera is charging.
