Jon, the desert southwest is, in a word, enchanting. I left the midwest 5 years ago and will never return. G

As long as the casino's don't fall into the water, our taxes should remain the same. Insert crossed fingers here. G -

If so I'll have beach front property. G -
As a sometimes consultant for a PMC, I occasionally travel. I was in Nigeria a few years ago and saw some guys heading out to patrol. There were so many troops in that truck it wouldn't have surprised me to see a freakin' muppet riding shotgun. This pic reminds me so much of that day I just smile. G

If that were a few decades newer it would match a few we found out here in the desert. Good job. G

1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Looks good! Take care when inserting the interior into the body. When it looks right to the Mk 1 eyeball, the interior is actually a bit to high, and the dash interferes with the windshield. G -
Oh Lordy there's two of us? @Zombie, Yeah give us some time to get our ###t together. Here's my fave pic. G The original Wayne Gray

2012 POST APOCALYPSE/ZOMBIE HUNTER COMMUNITY BUILD
Agent G replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in Community Builds
In regards to rail guns, If nothing else, the movement of the projo at hyper velocity down the barrel will displace a lot of air. The projo itself is incredibly light in relation to its velocity and the damage it will inflict. Recoil is manageable due to this and if I'm not mistaken muzzle brakes are recommended as a deterrent to barrel whip. G -
Very nice hat! Oh Jonathan I remember those days. Thank goodness my "baby" is 18 now. G

Nice, real nice. G

Oh I like this. How much did you channel it? It looks like about 3/8ths of an inch. Great job on the seat. I did a chop and channel on this kit and you can't help but have it turn out great. The kit is super and you are doing it justice. G

Jonathan I'd been a policeman for a year when you were born! I recall the first time I wrote a report on a word processing program installed on a desk top. We snuck the thing into one of the interview rooms in our bureau. This was used as a report writing room for years before computers became "ordinary". My partner always said he knew when I had been on the computer writing. He found whiteout all over the screen.......................................... G -
Thank you Ron! I considered that build a true "labor of love". Mathias that is a fine Corsair. You really captured the essence of VF 17 operating from a jungle strip. G

Harry I think you nailed it regarding cell coverage and population density. If you look at a cell coverage map of Nevada, you will see that Clark county in the south, Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson, and Laughlin are covered. Washoe county and Douglas county in the north, Reno/Sparks, Carson City, Lake Tahoe are covered. That's it! The remainder of the state is hit and miss, literally. Those are the population centers of Nevada. Everywhere else is either open desert, bomb range, or so sparsely populated as to be vacant. There is a large gap in coverage in between Las Vegas and Salt Lake City as well. There's also a long stretch of I 70 in Utah that has NOTHING, no cell phone service, no exits, no NOTHING. There's quite a bit of this country that is wide open still. G -
Thank you Roger, that is what I wanted to hear. Chris, I fully understand your position as I have been there, done that, with the kid thing. My BIL has a Challenger and it is cool, but somehow it doesn't "do it" for me. Jonathan, yes I am looking at a new Charger as well. As you have learned I am a "wide bodied " individual, and comfort is key as the years advance. Decisions decisions decisions....................... G

OMG IDK MaBee its a generation thing? G -
Look at it as a sign. I had to take a day off once as my son suddenly became so ill we had to see the doctor. He's ok, I'm frazzled, then the phone rings. My partner was transported to the ER after a horrific accident. The other family was transported as well, and both the police car and the other car were totalled. The accident investigator from the Traffic Div. who handled the scene, as it was really touch and go for a bit, told me if I had been in the car riding shotgun I'd be dead. As it was Tim retired less than a year later due to injuries. Hey, it's a sign. G

To Clear Or Not Too Clear
Agent G replied to Big Daddy's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
In my humble opinion, based on casual observation, and the fact I owned one a long time ago, those hoods weren't really "flat black" as much "semi-gloss". I personally would one of two things. Clear the hood with semi gloss, or buff the flat black paint with a soft flannel cloth. G -
Rob, do not leave that Mercedes where I can find it. I will be taking it home, I love that car. G

Hey Roger, how does that Hemi do on gas? Seriously, I know the V6 is a great MPG car, but if I go with a Charger (thinking, thinking) I want a Hemi. I get about 23 mpg with my Lincoln on my daily commute which is 2/3 freeway, 1/3 surface street. G
