  1. It was that, but it was mostly labeling issues created by the great state of California. Tamiya products are slowly returning to shelves. G
  2. Well, first, considering the quality of your builds I find it hard to believe you earned only two golds and one bronze. Second, I believe if anyone can do justice to that behemoth of a kit, you can. Third, when you finish it, send it to me! Good Job! G
  3. My 20Mule Team kit has been in my stash for close to 50 years now. I received it as a young 'un during a trip to a TV studio. We all appeared on the old "Corky the Clown" show (a Bozo the Clown ripoff type show) for a birthday party and I scored the kit. Dad wouldn't let me build it right away. He said I needed to practise more, and get better at building. That was 1963 G
  4. Reason #201 why I hate this kit. G
  5. Work intervened during the week, but I accomplished quite a bit today. The interior is painted and drybrushed to look less "flat". The kit shifter pinged off my tweezers and flew into oblivion. I made a new one that's more to scale. G
  6. or Seigel, or or Binion, oh wait that was a soon to be ex wife...................................... G
  7. Yes, it's called my back yard. I spray indoors, wait a bit, then place the pieces in direct sunlight. Done. G
  8. That's the niceset thing about living in Nevada, PO'd wife: "where you been?" Answer: "Aliens" G
  9. Very very nice work! Those trucks belong in "Under Glass" as well. Share the builds with more folks, they are grand. G
  10. Jim, not to sound stupid, but couldn't you use the trunk lid as a starting point? Cut it off just behind the lock, fab a inner wall which comes straight down to the bed. It would be very thick in scale, but you could say that's where the compound hinges hide! Cool concept too. G
  11. Up against the wall you redneck muthas.................................... My middle son turned me on to the 1:1 car. He loves it and asked if I could build it for him. I found the decals, and the paint was easy. AMT's 73 Mustang was another matter. My Hobby Town has a wall full of '08 Bullitts for $11.99. Hmmm, thats a clue detective. G
  12. Same here regarding the scoop. Very clean and believeable. G
  13. I'll be replicating this car, http://www.cebudanderson.com/oldcrowcar.htm with a 2008 Bullit Mustang. Stay tuned. G
  14. Carolyn's desk, now that's funny right there, true, but funny. I see Jeff every month. Curiously he has a daughter in St. Louis as well as I. We always seem to be at McCarran the same times every summer. The Riviera apparently "restructured" tax wise with the blessings of the state. 7 mil for "remodeling". Mrs G was supposed to take on the R/S Book at the Fontainbleu as manager. That was two years ago, all the big money pulled out, i.e. "disappeared", now it sits. Virgil, Circus Circus is still standing, how I don't know, but it's still there. G
  15. As I sit here in my plush state office I can clearly read the following bulletins. The Sahara will reopen soon under another name. The Riviera was recently remodelled and looking good, sparse but good. The Tropicana is remodeled and beautiful now. The Hilton closed and is now called the LVH. Fitzgerald's downtown will be renamed "The D" and the old Lady Luck will FINALLY re-open, as, I believe "The Downtown Grand" or some such. The times are a changin' G
  16. Now that's sweet! Oh how I miss the Stardust. G
  17. Good job on this one. I get the chills just looking at it. G
  18. Yes! These are really nicely done. I like this genre. G
  19. None whatsoever. I give the copper props for even attempting a story like that. I usually was "cut off" by a black sedan that failed to yield............................................ G
  20. G
